Isaiah was very reasonable with our reservation despite a private event starting. Will attend again.
The wine is watered down, and to add insult to a dining experience I saw two mice and the kitchen area just by the kitchen entrance looks quite unkept (as per our limited view from the bar area) and myself and two other guests left without eating because of these unsanitary conditions.
Food was very good as was the service today but it was very expensive for what we received. Asked for tea and were shocked to see we were charged $10 for it.
A hidden oasis in every sense of the word! The food is excellent! The service was spectacular! I gave the restaurant 5 stars because it is just as good as any Michelin 5 star restaurant! I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a nice, chill place with a great ambience!
3rd time. but its getting a little disappointing. too expensive for tajine $27+ tax and tip and thats not enought for even 1 person
The service and staff were very friendly. I was expecting more spices in the morrocan food but good overall
Lovely place with Moroccan accents. The food was better than I had in Morocco. The waitress was very pleasant and accomodating. When I said I received a coupon for a free drink or dessert online she denied knowledge of it. That was the only disappointment and she didn't have a smiling attitude like the waitress. The prices too are a bit high, $27 for a vegan tagine. I wouldn't go there frequently but for a special occasion or Moroccan food it is good. Too bad it is so expensive. The tea also was good, like in Morocco.
Meeting a friend
The main dishes were good. A menu was presented on an iPad. When we got the bill each person who got a bowl of rice or couscous was charged $8.00. That is outrageous, considering that it was never mentioned on the menu. The main waitress seemed put upon each time we asked for something, and was generally unpleasant. What is listed as $$ should be $$$, considering what we paid for each main dish, drink and side (which we thought was included with the main dish.) I would not go back.
Way over priced
Tasty Moroccan food!
Came here for Valentines Day and had a lovely time— the food was just as delicious as I’d hoped and the server was incredibly helpful
it was a lot more packed and loud than last week. I really enjoy their food though. bring me back to Northern Africa..
I missed tajine for a while and finally had it in NYC! of course not as good as tajine in Morocco but still great. the atmosphere was nice too
Make sure you let the waitress know if you want change if you pay cash.
Although I always tip 20 %, she gave herself closer to 30% by not asking if I want any change back.
Our Tangines were served hot and sizzling. The dish was wonderful!
They should keep Arabic music on.
Super expensive, and the quality wasn’t that great. $27 for a Tangine - and it wasn’t a lot of food. Ordered hummus and had to ask 4x for the bread ... waitresses were young and inexperienced...
Fun atmosphere, attentive service, good food. We had traditional lamb and chicken dishes and enjoyed them very much. We plan on going back.
Food fair. Service AWFUL. I’ve been home for six hours and still waiting for some of the dishes We ordered. And then they added a #0% gratuity!

Unprofessional Service Untasty food, it use to be a correct place but not anymore.
The food is really really good. We had a nice experience!
Tagine has become a regular stop on visits to New York. The Moroccan menu is great and all the dishes we tried have been superb. The location, Times Square area, is convenient.
This year I wanted to take my team out somewhere "different" - in MYC there are a multitude of steak houses, Italian restaurants, and Sushi, but it's really hard to truly experience something uniquely special. Problem solved! Tangiine's is amazing. From the minute you walk in you are transported to Morocco. The food was fresh, and flavorful and authentic. We tried almost everything- but stand outs were lamb cous cous, The homemade semolina bread that is literally baked to order, hummus, and semolina cake for dessert. Everything was incredible, delicious and insanely decadent. We will be back
We recently ate dinner at Tagine. The owner made recommendations, and we fortunately followed them. Each course was excellent. In addition to the food, we enjoyed the ambiance, the generous wine pours, and the conversation with the owner.
We will not hesitate to go back.
Host and waitress made it a perfect night! Helped us pick our food. Just the right amount for a group! So delicious!
Good ambiance, good food, friendly staff. Went before a show and it was quiet (no hookah smokers or belly dancers) so imagine might be different at a later time.
Management was literally yelling and screaming in the kitchen. The food was burnt. They couldn’t give me a detailed receipt for expensing. Very unprofessional staff.
Had visited Tagine last Saturday. To be honest the food was good but over priced. The service was horrible. I was served a waiteress who was constantly on her phone; when I asked her questions regarding the menu she literally read the ingredients from the menu and seemed as if she had no idea of the menu or what was served. Later I asked her if I could have some bread and she responded saying sorry I am busy taking orders and the bread will come with the order which to me seemed really off putting and rude. I dont think i would be returning to that place.
Poor service, weak food
We we're greeted and shown to our table that had a printed page with our reservation. That was a great start. We ordered sangria that took a long time to arrive, but it was delicious and plentiful. We ordered the mixed mezze and received three items, two of which we ordered. We enjoyed the erroneous item. We ordered two entres and a soup. The soup never arrived. We asked for water and got it after the second request. We finished with desserts that we're very good. The overall price was very high, so the value may be questionable.
The service was as bad as described in other reviews. While the service was friendly and reasonably attentive, it was error prone and disorganized. It was if they had service staff working the first night ever in a restaurant.
The last thing is that they failed to register our visit with OpenTable.
Even with the poor service and high price, I'd still consider going there again.
It was a good experience. They had vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. There was live music and belly dancing. They let other people dance on the music too. The decor is very nice inside. You get the Moroccan vibes. Moroccan tea was amazing as well. They have sheesha and bar too. The service was slow at beginning but they were busy. Servers were nice and thanked us while we were leaving.
The place was empty, and I still wasn’t acknowledged when I arrived. They were playing music with lyrics so rude that my 24 year old son asked them to turn it off. They brought the wrong entree.
We are not a first time in this restaurant, just because of delicious food, great location and a nice service.
Always recommend this place to our friends.
Thanks a lot!!!
When we came-in at 7:30pm we had a very good waitress - she was very nice and dedicated to our service. Unfortunately the shift change at 8:0pm and we got no service at all - at 8:15pm a group pf gays walked-in and started to smoke chicha and the restaurant got impossible to breath.
No good at all - is a shame because the food is not out of this world but is good
The food was delicious, the service great. Anyone in the Times Square area looking for an awesome dining experience should go here.
Decor is very cool - I wasn’t that impressed with my Tagine. Was expecting something more memorable. Very expensive for what it was.
Wonderful time and food, very friendly, and we were treated great!
What an unexpected find! You'd never know this delightful and delicious gem was hiding in Midtown. Close to Penn Station and Port Authority, it's a great spot to hit before/after a show or a night on the town.
I can’t write a review about the food. We never made it to the food. We got there and they were having a meet and mingle
Event. Even though we had reservations they told us we would either have to sit with the mingle event at a large group table or sit in the back where people were smoking hookah. When we explained we could not eat amongst all the smokers we were dismissed and told those were the only options. Needless to say we ate elsewhere
