TAG / Burger and Bar at Madison Street Ratings and Reviews
We were lucky enough to find street parking right next to the restaurant. The ambience reminded me of a nice college bar. We tried two types of fries, the fried pickles, and a turkey and veggie burger. Our favorite menu item was the duck fat fries by far. We grabbed a milkshake to go on the way out. We will certainly be back
Fish Avis were fabulous for years
Then you sadly removed them from menu
Then they came back better than ever.
Then within last month they were Very DIFFERENT and NOT NEAR AS GOOD.
You had THE BEST so please keep them the way you had them!
I am currently walking with a cane, and was happy to pull up right in front of the door on a cold and icy day. Once inside my husband and I were delighted to find the room was warm and cozy. The Lady Gaga burger was fantastic. Even the gluten free bun was great--soft and tasty. Definitely recommend Tag!
I made a reservation ahead of time and we asked for a quiet table, but were seated right next to the door. Other than the seating the food and service was good. The prices are high and burgers should include fries like competitors do. I liked the selection of meats and toppings though.
We went to Tag in celebration of a friend's birthday. The food was excellent, the service attentive and the ambiance appropriate for a neighborhood bar. It was a bit loud for us, only because the birthday celebrant was older. Other than that, a good time was had by all!!!
The menu is almost entirely burgers which is not suprising given its name. However, have choices of beef, bison, salmon, turkey and veggie. I had a fantastic burger with guacamole, chorizo, chiptole alioli and pepper jack cheese. It was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Our waiter was wonderful and the service was impeccable. We ate with our 9 year old son who loved his buffalo wings and sliders. Place is family friendly but also a cool place to grab a beer with friends.
Solid food experience. The godzilla topper on my bison burger was fantastic. I'd offer that their fries could be a little less well done, and their Brussels sprouts needed more sprouts and less Parmesan (there was definitely an imbalance). But I'd definitely go back.
I've been to this restaurant many times. The portion sizes seem to have significantly decreased since my last visit earlier this year, fewer fried pickles in an order, smaller portion of fries and the burger patty was noticeably thinner than before. Flavors are all still very good but the value is definitely decreased and will likely impact a return visit.
Until we ordered dessert, all was very good, but suddenly the service which had been very good was no where to be found. We waited and waited and waited and couldn't get anyone to check on us or our desserts. When they finally showed up they apologized for the delay and did comp us the dessert, but we didn't get an explanation of what had happened and left feeling dissappointed.
TAG Group consistently delivers with unique and delicious fare. The fried pickles continue to be on of my favorite Denver indulgences, and the myriad options for fries, burgers, and quality boozy shakes always leave options to try more on our next visit. There is a flavor combo to suit all diners at Tag Burger.
