About Tacos & Tequila - Luxor
Tacos & Tequila embodies the cool modernism of the new Mexico City as well as incorporating traditional elements of Mexican style and high-end Las Vegas panache. This color mixture of old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark woods, fanciful leather, bright fabrics, and colored glass. Bull Fighting is an important thematic element in the setting of T & T. A 25 by 40 foot photographic mural depicting a female matador and a fierce bull locked in combat adorns the only wall in the main dining room. “The Beauty and the Beast” appear in a sensual give and take on three large murals hanging on the walls of “El Salon”, our intimate dining room located in the rear of the restaurant.

Tacos & Tequila - Luxor Ratings and Reviews
We visited Tacos & Tequila at the Luxor Hotel, as a precursor to the Criss Angel show. Food was decent - not super authentic, but decent... the chips (served as an appetizer to your meal, were stale, however, and over-salted)... and the other thing that was interesting - the plates came out hot, but the food was on the semi-warm side. My rice was a bit cool, but the enchiladas were a bit warmer. Lastly, the black beans were not very good. You are not given an option of bean-type, where typically given an option of refried beans or black beans.
The service was attentive and fair, especially considering our group size of nine. Someone was welcoming right away, we, of course, had a reservation through OpenTable, and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. overall, we were in, out, and had eaten within an hour. So, that was great.
If I needed to eat there again, I would. But it wouldn't be on my "must-go-back" list like some other Vegas restaurants.
We had heard about Tacos and Tequila before we even booked Vegas so this was our first point of call after a long flight over. It didn't disappoint in any way.
The food was delicious, and you could tell it was freshly made and it tasted out of this world.... would 1000000000% recommend.
We loved the almost informal atmosphere here, and the barman was very helpful in helping us to pick drinks
Would definitely want to come back if we ever get back to Vegas
Can my review just be about the Carne Asada fries? They were amazing! A notable mention goes out to the churros, as well. My friends and I tried their chicken, pulled pork and carne tacos and the chicken enchiladas. Chicken & pulled pork were a little dry but the carne was cooked just right.
The service was really slow, especially considering we made a reservation for our party of 8(4 adults 3 kids 1 baby). Alambre tacos we're killer. Chicken nachos we're not great - chicken was very dry. One entre was brought out incorrect but was replaced very fast. Pico in chicken burrito had too much lime- overwhelmed burrito flavor. Really enjoyed the tamatillo table salsa. Overall wouldn't recommend and probably wouldn't return.
Great service! Surprisingly great tacos (we got the shredded chicken and the carnitas). Best meal we had the entire time we were in Vegas! Never would have expected great food at a taco & tequila place. Our server accommodated us (extra beans since we didn't want rice). The coco-Tini cocktail was perfect!
3 other family members enjoyed their meals. I had the fish tacos and the fish was over-cooked and dry. I found entrees to be over-priced especially for the quality but that seems to be typical of much of the Vegas Strip. Seems to be a movie-theatre mentality that they have a captured audience with few options.
We had a copy of the reservation (4 - 6PM) in hand but they said we had to leave by 5 because the owner had some special people coming in. Apparently paying customers aren't special people. We weren't done eating/drinking when they told us we needed to vacate the table but we stayed to finish. We were not fighting with them, or being loud (Most of us at the table were over 60 years old so not a bunch of party kids) They called security to have us removed and brought us to go cups and doggy bags for the food. We stayed sat at the table but they were harassing us and embarrassing us in front of the other patrons and their "special" friends who were arriving so it forced us to package up our food and drink and leave. I sought out the owner, told him I'd never been treated like this at ANY dining establishment and he looked shocked, upset that the waitress had pointed him out to us and he had no idea what to do. Didn't offer to buy us drinks, comp our interrupted dinner or any of the hundreds of other things he could have done. Worst customer service by an owner ever.
The Tequila was so good! We ordered the Anejo Especial and it was amazing! Our server talked to us about the flight and offered appetizers while we decided on our dinner. He was so pleasant and helpful. Our food came quickly and was delicious! A must in your visit to Las Vegas!!
The service was excellent and we were able to get in and out quickly since we were seeing the Criss Angel show. The drinks, chips, guacamole & salsa were great. I had grilled fish tacos, would recommend fried on this one. All in all would definitely recommend and go back again!
We reserved 4 tables for a get together before the Criss Angel show. Out of 40 people...I never received my dinner. The waiter never apologized. He asked if he could get me something but by then we had to leave. I even had to ask for him to remove it off our check. Just not impressed!
