Fantastic food and service was exceptional!
We enjoyed the margaritas, guacamole and chips, however the fajita steak was tough and the beans were cold. Our server was very good.
Absolutely loved it! While sitting on the patio I enjoyed a fabulous Cadillac margarita-the waiter added the tequila at the table. Ordered the house special 3 skirt steak tacos topped with flaming Brie cheese. OMG...it was crazy good!
The well dressed servers were attentive without being pushy. The decor was simple and clean.Taco Rosa should not be missed.
We went to brunch to celebrate a birthday!
Very heavy meat orientated very little seafood I think 2 dishes only and pricing was high
I gladly have paid $40-100 for an entree but this was very average food if not below
First time going after hearing lots of good reviews. All of us received a delicious appetizer. Food and service was wonderful. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing Mexican food..no wonder it won best Mexican food in 2017 from the OC LAtimes
Great food, nice patio area, very accommodating to our seat preferences and food substitutions. Lively place for a fun time.
The brunch is always delicious, listening to the Mariachi play our favorite songs makes it even better. Brunch is $28 and included all you can drink champagne.
Nice way to celebrate my wife's birthday. Nice service.
Been to brunch and as a regular dinner date. Both are so different but the food is delicious and very authentic. The service is A+ even when it’s crazy busy.
Great place to meet friends for Taco Tuesday! Great service and amazing menu!
Requested outdoor dining. When seated we were told that the outdoor tables, there were 3 to 4 available at the the time, were being saved for people with dogs. Seriously, now people with dogs get priority? We were seated inside and were told we were getting the best table in house. It was between a large table with a loud kids soccer team and parents and a table of screamers at the bar. Not a pleasant experience. Food and service adequate, nothing special. As we left all but one outdoor tables were available. When I asked the host as we were leaving why we couldn't get a more comfortable table outside, he indicated that a bunch of guests did not show up and laughed. Again seriously, 10 groups did not show? Will not be coming back here anytime soon. Also, we did not get credit on open table.
I have another favorite Mexican restaurant. Service is incredible. Margaritas - huge and tasty. I had the CAMARONES TAMPIQUEÑOS. Fantastic. My husband had the chicken Mole - perfect! The guacamole is some of the best I've had. I cannot wait to go again!
Food was ok. Nice service, easy reservation process. Chips were a bit stale and not fresh. Not anything spectacular.
Went for brunch. Suggest label food so non-Hispanic patrons can learn the different food names. Taco station did not have plates— had to go to separate station to get plates and then come back.
Always a treat to find sophisticated Mexican dishes with such pleasant service.
I started with a margarita, guacamole and chips. I had ordered the wild shrimp enchilladas. Comes with veggies, rice and corn goodie. so much food that I had 2 meals the next day. We were seated on the patio which is pleasant. The music is a little too loud, but we could still have conversation. One friend was ill and not able to come. Friendly service (Jasmine Torres). She split the check between our 2 cards, which is appreciated. We plan to go again when I am at my daughter's.
Had an amazing unforgettable time. Outstanding service and food
not your average strip mall mexican place; much, much better than expected.
We were very disapointed. The food is set up outside right next to other businesses and in the area where people are waiting to get in. The hot food items were luke warm and the service was bad. We constantly had to chase a waiter/waitress down to get what we needed.
Great food at a reasonable price. We will be returning.
Taco Rosa has been a favorite of mine for a few years. The service is always excellent. As with many restaurants with every new printing of the menu the prices go up.
Great service and tasty tacos, a good family spot.
Friendly, attentive staff, delicious food and fun atmoshpere
ALWays great service and delicious food! I would highly recommend this place!
What can I say. We love Taco Rosa. We have not been in a few years because we moved away from the neighborhood. Things can change and we were worried that Taco Rosa would not be the same. It's even better! The taco selection is amazing, I recommend trying the octopus. Everyone at the table had a different entree and loved it, wet burrito, beef fajitas, tacos and a quesadilla. Our 12 yr old gave the quesadilla and accompanying black beans two thumbs up. The churros and chocolate were the perfect end to our meal and very shareable. The presentation of the churros is fabulous!
It was so good to eat and enjoy authentic Mexican food! We will be back on our next visit!
What a delight to return to Taco Rosa. It is kind of
off the beaten track for me and I had forgotten about
it until I received a coupon from the Newport Hills
Shopping Center location. I even phoned them to make
sure it was the right restaurant and they described the
location. I immediately made an Open Table reservation.
Service and food were excellent. Can hardly wait to return.
I ordered a fabulous sample plate that was filled with
portions of many appetizer items, enabling to know what I
might want to order in the future. Generous portions enough to share.
My friend ordered the Paea, seafood mix and LOVED IT.
Valentine’s Dinner. Food had no taste. Salsa’s were bland. Asked for spicy and still bad.
We go to Taco Mesa ( Fast Casual version) on a regular basis. The food quality and flavors are superb.
It was outstanding service . I’ve been coming here for years and my daughter wants to celebrate her birthday here with my family . Everyone is very friendly and generous . We had an empanada appetizer that they gave us without charge. It was so good . I highly recommend this place excellent service and very good food. Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday memorable .
Taco Rosa revamped its menu some time ago. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone downhill with the more limited menu. The starting appetizer was very good and a nice touch, and the guacamole was also very good. The chicken in mole was really disappointing. It used to be a nice, plump, juicy chicken breast with spicy mole sauce. It is now paper thin rubber chicken cooked so it has moisture and no flavor. The mole was surprisingly bland. I used to go to Taco Rosa a lot; it was one of the few Mexican restaurants that offered authentic, interesting dishes. It is now permanently off my list.
Loved the queso fundido, which came with a nice spicy chorizo. In fact, we overate on this and so couldn't finish our dinners! Even the pinto beans were tasty! Will come back again.
Wonderful food, service, and ambiance. Made us feel like we were on vacation and enjoying a top notch meal! The queso fundido, chile relleno, quesadilla, tacos (carne asada, shredded beef, lobster), and rice and beans were all so flavorful and unique. Amazing!
Taco Rosa is one of the best restaurants in the area. Always enjoyable and taco Tuesday is crazy cheap!
Had a wonderful lunch, great food and the service was wonderful!
We went to the restaurant not understanding that brunch was buffet style. It was not clear on open table. There was plenty of food. It would have been nice for the food to be labeled, because many dishes looked unfamiliar. As it turned out a majority of the main dishes were made with pork. The food was quite tasty. I was also surprised that for a Mexican restaurant there weren’t any chips for the table or guacamole. The best part of the buffet was the dessert selection! The service was good and the owner is very attentive.
Good food, nice service, but they charge for chips? Really? Been to many high end Mexican restaurants here and abroad and this is a first. Not cool.
Taco Rosa never disappoints. Friendly and attentive staff. Tasty Mexican food. Prices are very fair. A nice casual place that is comfortable to spend time with friends. This time was brunch and it was full of options and very fairly priced. Lucky to have them nearby.
Excellent service, fabulous food, great margarita!
