About Tabule on Yonge
Tabule is a Middle-Eastern restaurant located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Ontario. The flavors of Tabule are at once exotic and comforting. The dishes are prepared in such a way as to be friendly to diners who may have never experienced these particular flavor combinations before, which has made it a hit with tourists and a favorite spot for locals. The husband and wife team of Chef Rony Goraichy and Diana Sideris work hard using fresh, quality ingredients and their broad cultural knowledge to create dishes that are unique and exciting.
Some of Tabula's dishes, like the fried eggplant with lemon-garlic dressing, will be familiar to guests. Ma'anek is an incredibly savory Lebanese spicy beef sausage rolled with Middle Eastern spices and pine nuts.

Tabule on Yonge Ratings and Reviews
A decent meal in North Toronto? Yes. Was it enough to write home about? Not especially. I've had better Kefta for less money elsewhere. I found it a tad dry and couldn't eat it without getting some yogurt sauce.
Great martinis, and tasty dips made up for the lacklustre entree. The desserts are a definite must-try including the angelhair filo one. I can't remember the name of it, but I'm looking forward to sampling it again. Maybe next time I go with their so-called famous sea bass.....
Had a Mother's Day lunch at Tabulè and had a really great time. As vegetarians, we ordered a bunch of smaller items and realy loved the Cauliflower and Eggplant dishes. Our server was very friendly and overall it was a great experience at a pretty reasonable price.
It was our first visit to Tabule and most likely our last. The food was good however, the service completely ruined our experience. We were seated about 10 feet away from the bar but waited 30 mins to get a refill of wine and had to ask our server more than once for it. We watched our server provide meals to all the other guests seated around us (and I would like to add that we were seated before them) while we waited for the same food items. The couple that were seated 5 minutes after us were finshed their appetizers before we even received one of them. We had to remind our server that we were still waiting for our appetizers and then our drinks and watched as all the others ate while we did not. The food was good, but not worth it!
I have been here before and the mains are always lackluster. The appys are better. I had the red lentil soup, which wasn't spectacular (something I could easily make at home). The tabule, as always, was great. The bread was warm and chewy. Not the best, but the price is right. It was very busy on a Saturday night and glad I made reservations.
We had a terrific waitress that evening, who was over-the-top delightful and funny. We had a great time and great service.
I'll be there again this coming Saturday and the following Friday. I can't wait to introduce more friends to "my" best Middle Eastern restaurant in Toronto :-)
Tabule is top notch! Authentic and delicious! High quality food, good portion sizes, friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Even mid-week, the restaurant was busy which made it even more impressive that the servers were attentive. This is one of the best middle eastern restaurants in the city! Our whole group loved the meal and we will definitely be returning. I recommend making a reservation.
We wanted to try Middle Eastern food and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything that we tried was very tasty. We especially liked the appetizers which we shared with each other. The server brought us extra cutlery so we could try each others dessert. The portions were just the right size.
Yummy food... fresh and jam packed with flavour. It was quite busy...seats were really close together, likely because it was a Saturday, but generally service wasn't too bad. The water jugs were awesome!!! Great atmosphere/decor for an evening out. Generous portions. Great experience... definitely a place to check out.
The service was pleasant, efficient and helpful. The portions were large - perhaps a little too much so. Our red snapper entrees were flavourful and served with roasted vegetables - bell peppers & onions, which were fine but I would've preferred to have had a little more variety. The eggplant appetizer is delicious & one of my favourites here.
As far as ambiance is concerned, It does get noisy and it would be nice to have candles on the tables and some pictures on the walls in the new area where we were seated. Nonetheless, it's a favourite neighbourhood spot of mine, and the tapas offerings are where this restaurant truly shines.
The atmosphere is very nice right down to the beautifully, although untidy when I visited, decorated washrooms. The restaurant volume is a bit loud as the sound bounces around the rooms without anything to dampen it. The tabule and the grape leaves appetizers were wonderful; the sausages were OK. Both the salmon and shrimp main dishes were fantastic; seasoned and cooked to tender perfection. The rice they come on is magnificent. For dessert, the pistachio gelato is a great choice and we also enjoyed the Künafa b'Jibn.
I highly recommend and I will return.
This was our first dining experience at Tabule and we had a wonderful time! The waiter gave us great suggestions and the food was amazing! Enjoyed the belly dancer who made an appearance during dinner. Only disappointment was that we had a 8:00pm reservation and we were not seated until 8:25pm - long time to stand as there was no room to sit at the bar due to busyness.
