I love the food at Taboon but it is pricey. Just this last time, I felt that that everything I ate was super salty, more than usual. It was slightly disappointing. But it's a beautiful place and the service is excellent.
While the food was definitely the highlight of the visit, the entree's where priced as much as a mid town high profile restaurant. The liquor list was lacking given two of us could not order drinks. Seating was rather cramped as every inch of floor space was used for seating, which was on skimpy furniture. While the chef was top rate, they could probably get better exposure in a higher end restaurant that would recognize their talents. Suggestion for restaurant is new seating and perhaps a little more room.
We loved the creative foods served here though some things were a little salty.
Be aware of that.
Love this place ! Food is always delicious and service is always excellent ! We had the trio dip great to share and you can pick 3 . I had the sea bass it was soo tasty. My friends had the lamb pot pie, i don't eat meat , but looked delicious and they said it was . Looks like a huge french onion soup bowl and they cut open the bread top and lamb is inside .
Birthday. One dish never made it to table. Aside from that, most delightful meal.
Delicious, but the cocktails are so overpriced
Service, food and surroundings were once again outstanding. It’s been two years since we were last there. Hope to be back next time we’re in town.
We were celebrating a job promotion! The food and drinks were OUTSTANDING!
Taboon is always fabulous. Food never disappoints.
Great brunch place. Yummy food and great wait staff!
One of my favorite brunch spots. Fabulous menu, consistently good meals. Try the French Toast and shrimp shakshooka!
Food and ambience are always excellent. It's one of my favourite place. Couple of times it got annoingly cold in the restaurant and we had to ask the server to cut off the air as we were freezing. Not the first time that this happens
Good food and great service. A but pricey and it gets very noisy.
Great place. Fresh and delicious. Knowlegeable staff. Nice ambience. Food is healthy, diplayed well and tasty. Had dinner with old friends and enjoyed our dinner choices. Bronzino was over the top. Appetizers of spreads worked well with the unbelieveable home made bread. Octopus appetizer was cooked to perfection. Ingredients in chopped salad made a nice combination. Can’t wait to go back
All around great experience. Food a drinks were excellent. Can;t wait to go back and fortunately we live in the neighborhood...
I want to eat all my meals here.
Sharing apps is the way to go
The food was generally very good with a just few missteps, including the special that two at our table ordered. They brought food out very quickly and there wasn't even enough room on the table to enjoy it. Also, they charge for bread, which seems outrageous since almost all the dishes are best enjoyed with bread. This is also a sort of expectation at a middle-eastern restaurant. Also, the tables are so close together that we were literally jostled by neighboring diners.
One of our favorite restaurants. Food is always delicious and the service and staff are so, so warm and friendly. Love the chicken dish.
The food has the authenticity of home cooking with the refinement of fine dining. Taboon is a place to celebrate or even just enjoy a special night out. This evening, we decided to do tapas style and share a few appetizers, an entree, and desserts. Amazing. All the appetizers we tried were delicious. The entree was hearty enough for two. And even tho we got individual desserts, we still shared (kind of...). I cannot say enough about the food. However, the star has always been the bread and dipping sauces at the beginning. It just sets the happy mood right from the start.
Great post show dining experience. Our waitress was very helpful guiding our selections.
The food was well prepared, fresh and showed very nicely.
The service was quick responsive and very friendly.
Outstanding service, menu was inventive and food quality superb, warm ambiance, overall incredible experience!
Fresh and delicious fish (sea bass and branzino). Hummus was tasty and the foccacia was amazing. Ambiance/decor was warm and welcoming. Service started great but fell off as crowds arrived.
Taboo never disappoints...food and service were excellent...we had a lovely meal of appetizers and 'tapas'...the bread is off the charts great as was everything else. especially loved the zucchini pancakes and baba ghanouj
One of the best Sunday brunches that I have had in a while. The food was excellent and unique. Servers were all friendly. Great mix of clientele. Perfect place for a pre-theater meal.
Always love coming here, but was put off by lamb bread being served cold and entrees arrived right afterwards wich were cold by the time we finished appetizer. Server was very nice, however and suggested a delicious new dessert drink.
We were seated on time which is always a plus. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable - fun time at bar. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Food was delish. Shared appetizers including roasted califlower, house focaccia, hummus and 3 yummy dips. We order the fish (very tasty) and lamb in a delicious crust. We shared only 1 dessert but it too was so good. Look forward to dining here again!
Have been once before. I love the food. Great flavors. Great cocktails too. The atmosphere is charming.
Excelente comida y servicio
Excellent service and food
We had excellent food pre theater Saturday night. I ordered the cauliflower appetizer to share-it was fantastic and a generous portion for 2-it could serve 4 as part of an appetizer. Then I had the squid which was a light size plate that was delicious, too. My husband had the lamb on a chopped salad which was a nice size dish. We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us great friendly professional service. I'd definitely go there again and recommend it for the mediterranean/middle eastern style food.
Taboon is one of those rare places where you don't have to love Mediterranean Food to love it. And you have to have the sushito peppers. Perfectioni
Restaurant week! Loved it!
Excellent overall! As always
Consistently very good food. Went for restaurant week because the menu selection was great, one of the better menus offered by any restaurant during restaurant week. Only con is that the restaurant is so far west! Need to open another location more convenient and centrally located.
First visit (during Restaurant Week). The food was EXCELLENT! Tables were a bit close (but not unbearable) and I hate "restaurant lighting" but the food more than made up for it. Definitely coming back!
