The food at Taboon was excellent. We selected several small plates - Meze - to share, and every one was delicious. Wonderful combinations of flavors, fresh herbs and spices. The dining room is very attractive - so it was an overall enjoyable experience.

The mezze and the accompanying bread were all outstanding. We would have continued to the end by just sampling all the mezze, but fortunately, one of our group wanted to try the chicken, the name of which escaped me. It was superb! An Israeli Cabernet was excellent, although the wine list didn’t have much under $50. We’ll be back! Great service, too. Thank you Tanya!

We were a party of 4 and they sat us in the front, kinda dark, when u first walk in. While a lovely sun shinning table was empty the entire time we dined. Then as we were leaving, their- what looked like to be friends showed up, a party of four and took the lovely sunshine table. Good food, small portions, very small for the big portion eaters. I would recommend when reserving a table to request the room with the windows and sunshine, if dining during the day, if not any table will do.

I really liked the food - very authentic and tasty . A very nice vibe to the restaurant. I was tempted to give the restaurant 5 stars but I didn't as the food was excellent but not unique - but I wouldn't go to this restaurant if you want unique. this is just very well prepared, fresh food that tastes great.

Taboon is one of my go-to restaurants whenever I want to have a delicious meal and incredible hummus. They have homemade bread that goes perfectly with their hummus. I went for brunch with a friend and they have great shakshouka options and regular brunch choices. My shakshouka was very good. I would highly recommend!

Great brunch, our grandsons’s birthday and they put candle on his ice cream topped French toast. Very good food but definitely with North African twist. Bread outstanding. Great location for Irish Arts Center. Happily take reservations for brunch

Four of us really enjoyed dinner. The food was excellent! We shared some Mezze and a few mains-really loved the focaccia and dips, as well as the baked cauliflower, octopus, and crab shawarma. Fantastic date sivan for dessert. The service was friendly and attentive. Look forward to returning to try more dishes.

Really outstanding and eclectic middle eastern influenced food. Friendly service. We did a bunch of Meze rather than the entrees and were very happy. Can be a difficult reservation--they could easily have a much bigger place.

What a beautiful gem in Hell's Kitchen! We walked here from The Press Lounge for a late dinner at about 10.30 last night and it was such a great decision. I liked the hummus trio a lot, the pita was warm and fluffy. We also ordered a bottle of Prosecco and the server was so prompt in refilling our glasses. It wasn't empty for more than a minute at any given point of time. Oh and I absolutely loved the ambience. It felt like I was sitting in someone's elegant living room.

Was a regular of taboon back when when I lived on 48th street. This has been a few years so was excited to return but found it a little underwhelming. Perhaps it was what I ordered but still with the prices and my memories it fell short than what I had remembered. Was a good meal but not great. One thing was still good.. the bread.

We know the chef from Israel. The food was great - a fusion between comfort Israeli food with a touch of American model food (e.g. Crab Shawarma, the Short Rib)..
In general we had a great meal but I got to say that the service was a bit too Israeli.. one of the waiters was a bit too friendly..
But still, if you want to have good modern Israeli food with a touch of authentic kitchen this is the place :)

Great dirty martini's and appetizers set the stage for the delicious main courses we choice. The baked Branzino dish is a must as was the the Chicken Maschan. With the 2 appetizers, Shish Barak and the Taboon Trio the 2 entree dishes were plenty for the 3 of us

Rumors about the deliciousness of the bread are all true. Taboon has an ecclectic mix of foods from all over the southern mediterranean. The wine list is sophisticated. Best restaurant in Hell's Kitchen for sure.

I love this restaurant and just had my 50th birthday there. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The bartenders are amazing. Don’t miss the breads, the octopus, the falafel ... too much to mention. This is one of my favorite restaurants on the entire world. I’ve been to 32 countries.

Love the ambiance and service. The food is very interesting. We started with hummus. It has a kick. Then roasted eggplant, yummy and beet salad, very tasty. The octopus appetizer is great. We had a special Black Sea bass and wonderful squash soup. Excellent! The dessert was amazing, I can’t remember how to spell it but it was the first one and it is like simta. We were there for 3 hours and the time flew. They didn’t rush us.

For our anniversary dinner, we asked to sit at the bar. The service and food are always top notch, and tonight we couldn't have been happier. Our food was stellar, the drinks were great, and our service was amazing! A great spot if you're looking for a consistently great place to go.

Had a great dinner at Taboon. Food was delicious especially the appetizers. Ambience and service are excellent. It's both cozy and very nice, with a great bar as well. Had a great drink called Nefritti's kiss. I made a choice to have a salad w chicken as an entree, when I go back I will make sure to have a more traditional entree in the future, I didn't like the salad as much as I liked the appetizers.
