What Insiders Are Saying
Taboon is one of the best restaurants in Hell's Kitchen, especially if you get down on Middle Eastern food. But also even if you don't.
Excellent friendly service, amazing menu with a wide range of tastes and flavors. One of my favorites in NYC.
I just love this place....I think I've been no less than 20 times. I look forward to my 21st ! hehehe Thanks everyone. Barney Gallassio
Great ambiance, great friendly and attentive service, and delicious food. Highly recommend!
We were so happy with our evening at Taboon. The maitre d was so thoughtful and noticed a small note about my boyfriends birthday and sat us in a great table. The food was amazing, huge prawns over risotto and potato crusted sea bass. The prices are a bit high but the food is really good!
My favorite restaurant in town. The flavors are amazing!!!
Excellent food, great service and ambiance. I would recommend highly to all.
Best restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. Very good, friendly staff and food is fantastic. It's where I take clients all the time. Fantastic bar too with complicated and delicious drinks.
Waitress wasn’t as attentive as others we had there before
Wonderful staff and the food was amazing.
It was great but the service not so good. The server dropped off the check before offering coffee or more drinks or after dinner drinks, we felt like we were asked to leave the restaurant. :-(
Superromantic venue for anniversary dinner and we were greeting with complementary champagne! Thank you!!
Everything we ordered was delicious. The enormous shrimp were grilled to perfection, the maze were beautifully presented and well prepared, cocktails were original and complimented the food quite well. The service was unobtrusive and gracious. We’ll return without hesitation!
Food and service and ambiance always outstanding.
Very different from most Mediterranean restaurants. Portions are very generous – our waitress (after dinner) suggested that we just order one appetizer and one main course for two people, and that would have fed us well. The felafel appetizer was as good as we've ever had, crisp outside and soft inside. The beet salad was very substantial, a mixture of beets and other greens. The branding – one fillet – was tasty but not the best we've ever had, and the vegetables with it were outstanding (the potato only so-so). The chicken, served on top of a large oven-cooked bread filled with caramelized onions, was outstanding. The ice cream dessert was to die for, the sponge cake very good. They have a prix fixe menu from 5 to 6 but you have to ask for it, they don't promote it.
Great food and setting. Highly recommend.
Busy and fun.
Lovely place. Wine was too expensive. ....especially for that ‘hood. If it was a few $ less, I wld have gotten a glass and they wld have made more $. Some restaurants think with money in mind only. Instead of making a few more bucks, they lost a few. Food was excellent and bread as well
The whole experience was excellent. Food, service and ambiance was wonderful. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will return often myself.
Party of 4 and tried 8 dishes. Everything was amazing! Lots of vegetarian options.
Unbelievable food - you have to try the branzino!
Holiday dinner with friends. Too noisy. Very load restaurant. Had to shout across the table to just converse with our friends. It made us just want to finish up our mean as quickly as possible and leave. Sad.👎🏻😕
We always enjoy coming here. The bread is amazing!!!
Anniversary dinner and get together with friends. Just a really special evening with awesome food!
Absolutely loved everything about Taboon. The bread is outstanding and the dips are amazing. I recommend the cauliflower as a MUST.
Unlike other NYC venues, the restaurant is quiet and you can actually hear your party's conversation.
The food and drinks are solid.
Hurried through our meal, we like to relax and take time to enjoy the food
Every time I come to NYC, this is a staple piece. I went this year for my birthday and the food was phenomenal. Their bread with the hummus plate is amazing, and don’t forget the lamb chops! However, for the first time, I had their ice cream and it was literally the best ice cream I have ever had. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!!
Perhaps the best Mediterranean meal I have eaten. The lamb wa cooked to perfection with some amazing spice. Ambiance great and the wine selection was superb
Food was amazing, fresh, diverse and a great wine selection
Dinner was delicious, the menu options and drinks are unique and the presentation inspiring, and the service and attentiveness to our party and tight time schedule was exceptional! I would highly recommend Taboon and cannot thank the staff enough for being so accomodating and welcoming!
Service was great! Try the Mediterranean Shrimp. I was blown away!!!
The bread is to die for
Fantastic! We've been here twice now... once in August and once in December. Both times have been wonderful. We love the Mediterranean dishes, and they are executed beautifully! Plus the 'by the glass' wine list has a really nice variety!
Great restaurant, one of the BEST in NYC!
Amazing food and amazing service
This is a great place to go after the theatre when it is less crowded. The food is healthy and delicious and the wait staff attentive and congenial.
We’ve been here twice and each time the food and service has been outstanding. The flavors are amazing. Highly recommend.
Delicious food. Beautiful presentation. Service was excellent.
Wonderful brunch, great service and very good food. The desserts were amazing, definitely Leave some space for those.
Great as always
We had a family dinner at Taboon and we loved almost everything we ate. The only complaint was my husband's entree. He had the steak and short ribs entree and didn't love the flavor. By far, the best thing we had was one of their special mezes, the crispy manouri. It was delicious. We all loved the falafel, trio of dips, zucchini cakes, cauliflower and crispy octopus as well. We were a large party (of 9) and the space was very cramped. I would definitely go back, but wouldn't go with more than a group of 6.
