Amazing food and service as always!
Service on the phone for reservations from friendly and accommodating. Server was knowledgeable and food tasted great but portions were quite small.
French onion soup was incredible! Service was great.
Excellent food and service in a very nice, cozy bistro ambiance.
Great Meal , unfortanately we were beside a very fussy couple who were awful guests, the poor waiter was very gracious
Have had dinner here a few times now. Always enjoy the food and the service is great .
food was very good except fish cakes were very bland and seemed like they came from Cosco - service was excellent - limited menu but still diverse - will likely go again
This is a small French bistros attached to the Loden Hotel. Read about it in the Georgia Straight awards addition. The food was excellent. Steak frites done just how it was ordered. Appetizer also very very good. Would not go there without ordering the escargot. French onion soup was perfect. Definitely would recommend.
Must quality must improve as we will not return the 2nd time.
Great food and service, love this place, never disappoints!!
Tableau used to be one of our favourite Vancouver restaurants. This time we both felt disappointed by the food. The portions were much smaller than in the past. In addition, the mussels weren't very fresh.
I've been to Tableau several times. Always very tasty and well-presented dishes, solid service, and a nice casual-upscale ambiance. Really very good. My only complaint is that the tables near the window are pretty tightly packed together.
Service has improved significantly. I've had bad experiences before that made me think that poor service was endemic.
This time, our waitress was much better.
Steak and eggs seemed like they used the opportunity to hide a substandard steak under an egg. Oh well. I liked their fries.
Having had a great experience the last time we came here, we decided to come back. The server came by and from this moment on he gave us an attitude and made rude comments every time h came by. Our coffee was not refilled until our cups were empty and we flagged him over. We were the only people in the restaurant. He placed my coffee in front of my husband so I had to reach over to get it. When he wanted to put my steak knife down, instead of coming around behind me, he reached across the table and just tossed it. The knife almost fell off the table. We were hoping that the food would make up for the poor service. My husband's burger bun was so stale he didn't finish it. My steak was tough and cold. Were they too hungover in the kitchen or something? Of course the server didn't bother to ask how things were. We were excited to be spending time with family on a nice and sunny day and this server ruined our time together. Had we known the service and food would be this bad, we would have gone elsewhere.
The chef should know Gnocchi is not polenta galettes, but potatoes 🥔 noodles I was disappointed lack of salt didn't taste anything. But I asked for a surprise cocktail and was very good
Fantastic upper level restaurant! The food was outstanding and so tasteful. The spanish waiter who served us, was so professional and gave us a very pleasant evening at the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we are definitely going back to Tableau Bar Bistro. It has to be one of the best restaurant in Vancouver!
We had a wonderful dinner there. Also waiting staff were very kind to our son. I really appreciate.
Wedding Anniversary done right! Impeccable service and food. Highly recommended.
Trea bon et savoureux restaurant aux influences françaises. Bons vins! Service rapide et efficace!
Always enjoy the french menu and the lively atmosphere. Great cocktails and attentive service. All dishes I had so far did not disappoint.
Nice food and fantastic service. The price was high to average for downtown. Would recommend. Steaks had fabulous chargrilled flavour.
Quality of food was good, but not spectacular.
Limited wine choices; all with extreme mark-up.
Appetizer plates came with nice greasy fingerprints - must have been from the kitchen.
Our server was attentive, professional and friendly.
Great food and service but extremely noisy. Overall experience good - would recommend
My daughter and I had a lovely supper together. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was excellent.
Love here. I went for the happy hour and it was great service, great food. I would go here again!!!
Tableau, besides being in a great boutique hotel in a quite part of coal harbour but close enough to the action when wanted, is a great likely neighbourhood gem. French inspired food, terrificly talented bartender, and a casual yet refined feel give Tableau high points in my book. I've diner here 6 times, alone, with colleagues, with friends, with family, and with spouse - each time happy.
I was disappointed in my meal. I thought the trout was small and absolutely no vegetables, just quinoa. Very dissapointed. Next to nothing for $25.
The food was excellent, the service was superb, atmosphere great. I love this place & my food friends from out of town loved it. If you haven't then you should. if you have then you should again. I know I don't go nearly often enough.
After being turned down for a reservation at our first choice, we chose Tableau Bar Bistro for our 33rd Anniversary dinner last weekend. We were greeted and seated promptly when we arrived and ordered cocktails, which were unique and tasty. The food was delicious, authentic French cuisine with a modern flair, and even though I think my entree order was wrong, it was fixed with minimal delay. The service was attentive and smooth, with the manager checking in at our table a couple of times and our server very helpful. We were given small samples of two wines we were considering which definitely assisted with the final choice. All in all, a very pleasant evening and I would return again.
The food was delicious! The staff were all super friendly and attentive to us. I would definitely recommend eating here.
It was a little disappointing... Services are excellent and the environment was very cozy, but the food were not so good. The escargot had many sand in it, mushroom toast was OK but had too much sauce on it, steak meat was not so fresh and the duck leg was the most saltiest thing I have ever had. The fries were the only one that I liked. I do not think I am a picky person, but I really did not like the food there. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The burger and Saturday's Entrecôte au poivre were perfectly délicieux.
Fantastic place. We ended up doing lunch and dinner there.
Tableau is our neighbourhood gem within an area where there is alot of competition from our office location. The reason I always choose to go back to Tableau for business meetings is that the service is consistently professional, food is consistently good, and value for money is there. They also respect the fact that we need to leave in an hour or that I may want a quiet section for confidential conversations.
highly recommend this place!
Food's always fantastic.
Mushroom toast is a must try. Oysters were lovely. Absolutely ask for wine recommendation. Their in house wine expert will not disappoint.
A classic bistro - bustling and fun. The menu was interesting, the food was delicious, and the food was first rate. Great cocktail menu.
Cake here on a Tuesday night while in Vancouver and it was grand. I am in town on business so it was a solo meal yet the service and attention was first rate. Started withe the Bibb lettuce salad with delicious dressing and then had the special of lamb shank whitish cous cous. The food was delicious but the amount of meat was rTively modest. I would definitely return
Surprised find and within walking distance from our hotel. Very good steak tartare; although instead of fries, the chef added a twist by serving chips. Excellent local salmon special for the evening. Mussels (with fries) were also very good, but I would have liked to have a white wine sauce option instead of the tomato based one. The server's red/white wine recommendations were right on for our meal (we discovered Cab Franc from Okanagan Valley - delicious with our steak tartare). Although it's street view, we enjoyed sitting out on the extended sidewalk patio, instead of the hip inner dining area. And we could go casual, not have to dress up.
Attended for a small birthday dinner (4 people). Enjoyed the classic, casual French food. Service was very good and the restaurant itself is stylish but comfortable/casual. Overall a nice, enjoyable meal with very well done, if not innovative, food.
