Table Mountain Grill and Cantina Ratings and Reviews
There was a problem with my meal and my beverage, but the management was gracious about it. Ultimately, we were not charged for my meal and one of my beverages, but my husband and I both agreed that the food was sub-standard. It's a shame because we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and ambiance.
Our dinners were very good - Santa Fe burrito and bison pot roast. The burrito definitely could have used more green chili, there was just a little bit on the plate, but the flavors inside the burrito were good. The bison pot roast was served on a large heap of excellent mashers and had some carrots and delicious gravy as well. The portions are good so there is plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Overall enjoyable dinner.
We have been going for twenty two years to this wonderful place! We even held one of our daughter's wedding receptions here! My husband and I go at least twice a month. My grandchildren request to go to the"Mtn. lion" restaurant every time they visit! Truly a Golden experience for the whole family ! Love the food!
We have been regulars for years. We have made our way through the menu and have enjoyed the food and ambiance, until recently. The last few times we've been, our food was slow to come out of the kitchen and our orders were wrong. This last time, our kid's food was gross and we sent it back to get something just as bad. Normally we get corn muffins right away, but this time they were brought out right before our food... the corn was old and chewy. I ordered the new wedge salad and found I had to work harder to eat the damn thing than the person who made it... the protein I ordered for the side was luke warm because, unlike the our other dishes, it didn't sit under the heat lamp for 15 minutes. Even the Bloody Mary was a disappointment. We've been comped for food the last 2 times and I rarely consider that a good thing.
It's obvious this is an ongoing problem since the clientele seems to be thinning.
Brunch on Sunday is a fab. I hope it's not as bad as dinner.
This kind of decline is on management. They better get it together or it will be replaced with some annoying trendy restaurant.
With easy parking, a friendly atmosphere, a solid menu with good food at a reasonable price, and excellent service, Table Mountain has much to recommend it. The fish tacos were particularly good as was the filling and tasty bison pot roast. We were also favorably impressed by our server, who though busy, hit all his marks as far as we were concerned. Needless to say, we will be making a return visit soon.
Fun night out with the fam. Sat outside and watched the old cars go up and down the street which happens every first Saturday of the month in Golden. Ordered a hand crafted marg, but it was really sweet and tasted like a normal house version and I could barely taste the tequilla. That was really my only complaint, so I wouldn't order that one again, but the food and service was good, so I would go back. They had a vegetarian tomatillo chili for the rellanos that was really good and the guacamole was homemade and good also. It's always hard to find decent mexican food that is spicy and also veggie friendly, so this was a good choice. We will return!
We are exploring more and more restaurants on the weekend and we decided to take the short drive to Golden. The food was good - loved the chips and salsa. Our waitress brought us two baskets of cinnamon rolls - very good. My husband loved the Chimichanga and I had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was good and the waitress was a character.
Not enough vegetarian options. The cheesecake was the worst I have ever tasted. It was a huge slab of hard and sour cream cheese. Tasted like they forgot to add the sugar. $7.99 was way too expensive for a dessert. Service was way too slow. We ate dinner and breakfast. Both had long wait times for food, beverage, receiving the check, ordering. The restaurant was not crowded. We had reservations for dinner and still had to wait to be seated. Will not return. Will not recommend.
We've been to the Table Mtn Inn many times and are never disappointed. They have delicious appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burritos, burgers, and meat dishes, as well as a nice kid's menu. I'm not naming anything specific because we 've tried pretty much everything over the years and have always been pleased. Whatever you're in the mood for should be what you order. The service is always friendly and well timed. It's good to make reservations since they are always busy.
