Six ladies met for lunch there today. The food was excellent (loved my poblano pimento cheese sandwich and herb fries), and our server was extremely friendly, offering great advice. We had a 1:00 reservation, and Bocado closes at 2:00. We were the last table there (didn’t leave until almost 3:00), but the staff didn’t hurry us out or act as if we were keeping them. Thank you for making it a lovely experience for our group!
Had a reservation. When we arrived there were no tables for 35 minutes and there were several customers in the same situation. Clearly they either overbook or they allow too many walk ins without holding a few tables open for their arriving reserve customers. Inept time management.
Finally got lucky and grabbed seats at the bar instead as we had an event to get to. Hope they learn.
Unfortunately, we had a rough start to our experience because despite having a reservation on opentable, Bocado and opentable were overbooking and taking reservations in account of the outdoor seating that’s not open right now. Therefore, we still waited an hour plus for a table for four. It completely ruined our experience and the atmosphere was dulled with the 20 plus people also waiting in the breezeway for the same reason so even when you were seated it was overly loud and not very enjoyable.
We had a large group but orders took as many as 3 tries to be accurate & we’re talking cheese burgers?!? Food was good, staff nice but disorganized.
Mood Lighting. Modern atmosphere. Minimal menu choices (in a good way). The duck pappardelle was absolutely delicious.
Loud, but one of the best burgers in town. Good cocktails. Service was a bit slow
For first time hamburgers (special item) over cooked/charred, order was wrong, drinks good but not great (new bartender) and couldn’t make a substitution that was always done in past. Hoping that it was just an off night. Everyone’s entitled to one...Good rating bc it has been consistent in past and didn’t want to sing them for what is, hopefully, just an off night.
Great! The service was on point and the hamburger was delicious.
Great Lobster Roll. Cilantro is hidden in a lot of dishes.
Always stellar. Some of the best cocktails in town, a short but very solid wines-by-the-glass list, and even though they’re known for their burger (which of course is fantastic) their small plates are where it’s at. Black rice, beets & citrus, red quinoa... and on and on - yum yum yum.
Way too loud - like an industrial factory
Took WAY too long to get food
Will only go back for lunch or sometime when
It’s not busy
Bocado gets high scores in all categories (food, service, atmosphere, creative menu items)! My one complaint is there are no specials and the main course list (excellent though they all are) hasn’t changed in five years. By contrast, starters and cocktails are stellar. The seasoned staff is warm, welcoming and stylish.
I've been to Bocado many times and the food is always great. The black rice dish remains one of my favorites. The bread pudding dessert was particularly delicious also. Highly recommend. Only issue on most recent visit was valet parking. There was one person parking and we couldn't pull in. Suggest Uber or a public lot.
Excellent service and food. Perfect for quick lunch meeting with client
Waitress was extremely rude
Nice evening w the family. Quick in and out.
brought out of town friends , since had excellent experiences--however , it was a disaster--- they had a very large coatail party that was surposed to end at 6 but went to 7---management did apolagize
Best burger/fries in Atlanta, hands down! The service was friendly and efficient.
Although valet parking is always available it's always kind of stressful to pull into the tight lot.
My only complaint!
Still, still, still the best burger in Atlanta. It's that platonic blend of chuck, brisket and short rib, cooked on a flat griddle with a perfect crust every time. There are a couple of close runners up in town, but the Bocado Double Stack is still king. Still looking for a burger in NY or London that can surpass Bocado. The fries are also top-tier. I have no doubt there are other outstanding items on the menu, but I can never seem to navigate past the burger.
I love bocado. It’s my favorite burger in the world.
Very, very noisy. But burger was great. Valet parking needs improvement. Good service.
I was looking for something on the healthier side, so I tried the grilled cauliflower and eggplant sandwich during my recent visit. I have to say, it was outstanding! The tomato bisque was terrific as well. Since I live on the other side of town, I have only visited BOCADO for lunch, so I cannot comment on the dinner menu, but what I have had -- from the cheeseburger stack with fries to the healthier fare I described above, and everything in between -- has always been great. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch.
Great food, noise level high, service a little on the slow side but very friendly and attentive
It was my birthday but they did nothing to make it special. The service was terrible (they’d go 15 minutes without checking in on us- I would have ordered 2x the drinks if they’d checked on me more!!!) and the server just wasn’t happy to be there. Food was good but everything else was average. Service was bad enough for me not to return. Definitely don’t come on your birthday or for a special occasion.
Great time of year to sit on the porch. Love the small plates and burgers here!
Bocado is a great place to meet friends, share some small plates, and have a few drinks. Their dinner entree menu is short, only 5-6 items. Bocado is best known for their lobster roll and burger stack. My partner and I both had the burger and it was delicious - one of the best burgers in ATL. It's simple, only cheese and pickles (or lettuce, tomato, and "boss sauce" if you upgrade). The ambiance is quite modern with a nice porch. Inside gets quite loud as it is a small space with hard surfaces everywhere. Great spot for a date but keep in mind the noise level and the limited menu.
Great ambiance. Staff was friendly. Food was ok, but a little overpriced for what you get.
I have been to Bocado many times and generally have the same thing for lunch. The sandwich with cauliflower was okay (could not place my finger on what was missing in the flavor) but was just not the same. The herbed fries were limp, and the sauce that comes with the fries lacked seasoning.
Note - I went on a Monday, and there were only a few people there. I am used to it being much busier.
I won’t give up on Bocado, but will wait a long while before going back again. I will also check the reviews.
Great food. Best burgers anywhere.
Glad we made it back to Bocado....everything about our evening out on 9/15 was outstanding, from the excellent service (Sarah was VERY attentive!), food, and great outdoor dining. It’s a drive for us, so it was only our second time dining with them, but when we went a few years ago, we enjoyed it so much that we purchased a gift card for friends. This second time here did not disappointment. Which there was a Bocado in East Cobb!
We had a 9pm reservation with closing at 930. The service and food quality were excellent.
The best burger in Atlanta; nowhere else is close. And the other food is also always great.
The quality of the food is outstanding. The early dinner menu could be expanded.
My server was incredibly pleasant very attentive and responsive. The service was relatively fast considering the number of guest in the restaurant. We had a Wonder time
Food, service, and vibe at Bocado is fantastic. It's a little too loud and a bit pricey, but I would say that's more a sign that there are lots of people that see value in this place. Absolutely recommend.
They will flex the menu to meet your dietary needs and that alone is admirable.
Holly was our server. She was absolutely amazing as was the food! My husband and I were VERY impressed, and we will definitely be back.
This restaurant is terrific. Can't remember a better hamburger in Atlanta! Definitely will be back.
Very loud restaurant and difficult to carry on a conversation with the people at your table and there were only 4 of us.
