Started with perfectly prepared martinis. Requested blue stuffed olives and onions. They had neither, which was fine. Then on to the tuna crudo and mushroom brioche. The tuna was small, but outstanding, the mushroom appetizer was huge. We liked both appetizers, but sure wished the tuna @ $16 was larger. Shared the curry. They forgot the crab, but brought some to our table when we pointed out the missing crab in the curry dish. Also had a side of kale which was very good. The food was overall very good.
Sunday brunch. Enjoyed friendly service, Bloody Mary, and delicious food. Everyone at table enjoyed their meals. Will visit again
Wonderful apps, including deviled eggs and best pimento cheese we have ever tasted! The cauliflower with yogurt was delish as well. Wait staff on point, fried chicken with corn bread and peas and onions was amazing.
Our service was excellent involving our server and two other employees. The only disappointment was that I ordered Ropa Vieja and the fried egg was hard.
Fantastic A++++ never disappoints, always wonderful
This was by far the worst dining experience we have ever had in Asheville. We had given Table a try several years ago for brunch and had a bad experience then but we decided to give it another try hoping dinner would be better. The food was horrific. The server didn’t notice when both women at the table changed dishes with our dates. I ordered the pork which I thought was a pork chop based on the description but ended up paying $30 for fatty pulled pork mush in some kind of casing. I just couldn’t get past the texture. The steak was no better. We ended up going to Posana afterwards because we were all still hungry. Also, there was no walkway for the restroom. Tables were so poorly placed towards the back of the restaurant that I overheard the man behind us complain that he couldn’t enjoy his meal because he had to move every time some one walked by. My date also jolted into our table due to the same issue, almost spilling all our drinks every time someone walked by. The server was inattentive. Overall none of us will return. There are so many other good food options in Asheville. I would skip Table.
Table's cuisine is consistently excellent. One of our faves, and we live here. Often, as in this meal, they push the envelope and have us eating something new. Delectables for this meal included spring pea and crab appetizer and pork crepinette. Creative wine selection adds to the experience.
This place was great
I have told everybody I meet how great it was
You have to have the cauliflower
The chocolate dessert was absolutely delicious!!!!!
Our party of 6 went for brunch. The food was nothing to write home about. It was fussy, almost pretentious, but not really that great. The servers seemed a bit overwhelmed. They were kind and attentive but our entrees all came out at different times (that could be a kitchen issue though). We were pretty disappointed and won’t be back.
Bachelorette & birthday
Fabulous. Very creative dishes packed with flavor. We would recommend and we will return
Terrific restaurant. One of the best in Asheville.
My husband and I recently ate at Table for our anniversary. We wanted something with a creative menu in a great location. It did not disappoint! We ordered the milk bread to start...absolutely delicious, and the Spaghetti Al Nero and Bavette Steak for entrees. Excellent choices...the flavors were exquisite! If you haven’t eaten here, you must try it!
Great food and great drinks! Highly recommend.
The whole trout dish was amazing. Sides that came with it were innovative and delicious!
Bone in Rib Eye Steak to share with Sides ? We're in. I knew my carnivorous husband would swoon when he saw the menu and I was not disappointed. You may think $100 for this dish is steep but when you taste the delicious sides that accompany, and cut into that ( at least 35 oz ? ) piece of rib eye, you will realize the value. One of the best tasting steaks we've had in quite some time. I grew up on a cattle farm in rural Minnesota and basic steaks at the grocery store just don't have flavor - so had given up eating much red meat. This steak took me back. So delicious. We also shared the milk bread and the polenta to start - so good. Our service was excellent from the moment we arrived - staff was definitely engaged in ensuring a great experience for their guests. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, great wine and drink list. It was the perfect anniversary dinner and we thank you so much for your wonderful food and hospitality.
This was one of our favorite meals while in Asheville for a long weekend. Food, ambiance, service was fantastic. We tried to go back for any meal but they were closed that day.
Good interesting and flavorful food, great staff, neighborhood gem
The food was delicious, but the portions are on the smaller side. Also, beware the mimosas - they are tasty, but they add up quickly!
Outstanding restaurant and service! Intimate setting and menu changes daily to feature the finest local ingredients. I can't wait to return again and try more dishes. make sure you save room for the exquisite desserts too!.. Highly recommended.
Had the whole trout - it was excellent! Nice atmosphere, quiet.
Had a great lunch at Table. We were a large party that arrived for a late lunch and they took great care of us. Wonderful food and service. Couldn't have asked for more.
Food was great and service was excellent.
Unfortunately the food was mediocre. We assumed that a restaurant that dares put Amberjack on the menu must make great food.
After ordering (we were told the leg of lamb, while massive, was impeccable and completely worth it), we were brought bread with butter and olives. Then we ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter. One of the meats was very bland. The other two were good - one was more traditional cured meat and the other was like a meatloaf version of cured meat, with lots of things smushed into it. The cheeses were very good and stood up on their own as well as with the meat or bread.
I had asked our waiter to give me a bit of time to choose a wine. When she returned to get my wine order, she was a bit abrasive about it. She offered to help me choose and I accepted, starting to tell her what I normally prefer. Before I could finish my sentence, she had selected the wine she thought I would like. I asked her a followup question about it and she said doubled down on her recommendation without letting me finish explaining. I was unsure but said "alright, let's give it a try." She did not offer me a taste first to make sure I was happy before pouring a full glass. When she came back and asked how the wine was, I expressed my disappointment that it wasn't quite right for me (too fruity for my taste) and she did offer to get me something else. I declined because I personally feel bad wasting a restaurant's alcohol and costing them a fair amount in the process.
When the lamb was brought to our table, it looked great. And it tasted ok. Not fantastic, but good. The main problem was how intensely fatty it was. It made us both feel ill that night and in the morning. It also didn't appear to be trimmed entirely properly and the menu had made it sound like the mint would be a prominent part of the dish but we could barely taste it and certainly couldn't see it. Then again, we couldn't see much since the restaurant was so dark.
It was a great night. Excellent food great service. All in all it was all in point. A great night
Great service, tasty "locally sourced" menu. Wine-by-the-glass was overpriced.
Chef Jacob at Table has the gift to bring both new items and classic dishes to the menu. The wine selection is superb. The service is always impeccable.
A great menu and a wonderful wine list. Outstanding service!
Table Asheville was an awesome, creative dining experience! The bar upstairs, The Imperial Life, is one of the coolest craft cocktail experiences you'll find around as well!
For one of the top rated restaurants in a food-oriented community, the actual taste of the main course was disappointing -- quite common. Appetizer "toast" was delicious.
Everything was beyond perfect. It’s rare a restaurant can get 5 stars in every category I think but this place rocks it! The dish presentation was particularly impressive. Can’t wait to go back!
Lovely blend of tastes.
We eat at table every time we are in Asheville. Amazing tasting menus. Can’t say enough great things about this place —staff, food, atmosphere all top notch.
We were celebrating a special birthday with 10 of us from out of town. Table Asheville was the perfect Sunday Brunch landing spot for our party. The service was great. The menu met all of our palette needs. Great location. We would definitely visit Table Asheville on our next visit.
Food a little too salty but very creative and great service and atmosphere
My husband and I visit Asheville every couple of years and always make a point to dine at Table. It is absolutely our favorite Asheville restaurant and our experience this evening was superbly perfect.
we went to this asheville institution for a guaranteed great experience on our third anniversary
We were greeted upon arrival and taken directly to our table. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable and helpful with wine selections. The food was very good. I’d be happy to go back to Table
