Complimenting the critically acclaimed cuisine is an equally intelligent and imaginative wine and craft cocktail list, represented both in the dining room and upstairs at The Imperial Life cocktail and charcuterie lounge.
Please contact the restaurant with any questions, or better yet, stop in to say hello!
We had a table for four. The service was very good, as was the ambience. Two of the diners were quite happy with their meal. One diner ordered trout and did not like the trout much.
Fantastic menu that changes frequently. Super friendly staff and a great wine selection
Really good Shrimp & Grits. Shrimps were huge and very flavorful dish. Poached eggs cooked to perfection. Bloody’s were fabulous. Burger was overcooked for my liking but wasn’t asked how I wanted it prepared. Overall good experience. Had noisy larger group next to us so restaurant a bit noisy.
I can’t even tell you how wonderful the food was.
They even made a special accommodation for my wife (it was her 30th birthday) and brought out a KILLER charcuterie board (her favorite and it wasn’t on the menu). Go here for casual, special or any dining. The service is first class and the food is better than anything I’ve ever had.
Very nice and great food!
Food was fabulous. As was the server!!!
Fantastic flavors - appreciate the ability to focus on spectacular dishes by providing minimal choices. Forced me to try new things I ended up truly enjoying.
A special restaurant. An amazing experience.
We truly enjoyed our experience at Table Asheville, the food was excellent. My wife and I each had the steak dinner which was served with a vegetable. Best meal on our trip, and this was New Year's Day evening. Service was great also!
Food was great but it took awhile. Saw other tables come and go.
New Year’s Eve dinner
It was a nice dining experience. The food and service were excellent. The wine list on the menu was a little confusing. The music was slightly loud.
The food was spectacular!
Wonderful experience. We’re in Asheville from Chicago and this spot would fit right into Chicago’s farm to table restaurants. Drinks and food was great. Highly recommend the fish critters and wild roots. Our server was pleasant and helpful and was happy to help us find a cocktail lounge for after dinner.
Great chic restaurant with yummy farm to table food.
CH was our waiter so I hope he us yours when you go. Fantastic service with fantastic food. It was a busy night, of course, but well worth the price. We will be back.
Ecletic dishes cooked to perfection enhanced by top notch service.
This visit was in the upstairs space, shared with the bar, Imperial. We keep trying other spots in AVL but always come back to this one, and always upstairs. Cocktails are superb, with a daily special. Full restaurant menu upstairs is a well kept secret.
I really wanted this to be great date our first night in Asheville. It started with waiting about 20 min or more just to place our order. Now understand this place is not very big and they definitely had enough help, so not sure why that took so long. We ordered an appetizer because we were so hungry; stuffed mushrooms. It was an interesting spin on stuffed mushrooms with a few grilled specialty mushrooms atop a bed of bean medley. It was delicious, I wouldn’t call them stuffed, extremely small portion at the high price of $15. Not worth it. I ordered the New York Strip. I was expecting a nice sized NY strip steak, not a few slices of a NY strip steak. Disappointing for $30. My wife ordered the flounder at $28. She said it was good. Not the typical sized flounder I am used to; served on bed of potatoes in a bowl. Overall, I’ll go back and don’t recommend. The entire staff with exception to the host have the personalities of a bag of rocks. It took us well over 45 minutes to get our food and I didn’t leave full.
Always count on Table for consistently great food!
We had the most wonderful meal. The menu options were fresh and creative. We chose Table because of the extensive number of gluten free options but we were blown away by the wine list- every selection was either natural, biodynamic or organic. A rare gem and truly unique. We can’t wait for our next visit.
Great central location, local ingredients, innovative offerings combined with friendly service. Also, nice cocktail menu. Who could ask for more? Do not hesitate to go and enjoy Table for brunch.
Menu was great...not overwhelming but amazing options. It was very full but still very much an intimate setting. The wait staff was fantastic and attentive. We will definitely be back.
As always, excellent food, so creative, great service. Table is an Asheville gem.
Great service, great food!
The menu was eclectic and interesting. We started with the cod fritters, which were very tasty, if cod lite, and roasted mushrooms, which were excellent. I ordered the porchetta and my husband had the trout. Both were good, the trout needed a bit of a boost in flavor. The porchetta was a bit of a surprise. I was thinking Italy, but this was BBQ in its concept. Nice Smokey flavor but the skin was too tough to cut through.
All in all, it was a good meal and we’d go back again.
Outstanding experience. Innovative yet approachable menu. Lamb Dumplings were Great. Flounder delicious and the Butternut Squash Pasta really tasty. Persimmon Trifle was just right, light and piquant. Service was perfect, friendly and efficient. Space has a slightly industrial feel, yet still warm and comfortable. Not terrible noisy and tables are reasonably spaced.
Start to finish the meal and service were impeccable. We loved the lamb dumplings and the rib eye we shared on rice salad was outstanding.
I have had many good meals at Table. Their food is best described as "intellectual" with several flavors coming together on a plate to make it interesting to the palate and mind, but not so much as to be confusing. The roasted chicken was flavorfull and the cabbage and horseradish beets made the meal pleasing to many senses. Similarly the whole trout and squash offered much to enjoy. Lamb dumplings in creme fraiche made us want to lick the plates. Like a few restaurants, wines are overpriced. Bread used to come with the meal, now it's a very small loaf for $6. Good bread, but diners are left to grab with one hand and mangle it with a knife. Wait staff never bothered to clear the crumbs and we felt it inappropriate to brush them to the floor. Seating is a bit tight - it's a small eating space - and I found the music selection playing through tinny speakers to be annoying. Table seems to be more hip than elegant. I will say the tasting menu I had there once was the best meal I've had in Asheville (and I've eaten at almost all the better restaurants). A creative menu and excellent execution bring you back. The overall experience seems just a bit short of where it ought to be. I'll definitely go back again (and again), and so should you.
We were seated upstairs. No problem. Thought it would be quiet but there were noisy patrons at bar near us.
Not the fault of the restaurant but it ended up being kinda uncomfortable as we had a 15yr old with us and the bar patrons were using pretty foul language.
Anyway, food was excellent and our server, Cherry was very attentive.
Would return again but ask for downstairs.
The whole dining experience was first class. The food was excellent and the server was very cordial and appeared at our table at just the right time. We will certainly be returning.
We returned to Table for brunch after several years absence. Table continues to provide an eclectic menu that is both traditional and creative. We missed some of our old favorites and found the current menu to lack in variety, even for brunch. We were a party of four and ordered three of the menu items. All were high quality but the overall experience was just a shade lower than we had come to expect from Table.
Wonderful food, great service, intimate setting. Try as many menu items as possible - all were amazing!
We had a truly wonderful time and the staff was extremely attentive. the food was also fantastic and imaginative. Will definitely return
It was our first visit. We had a nice experience. Our only criticism was the noise level. I couldn’t hear the server when she was talking to us. The food was good. The bread was amazing. We will try again and see if there’s a quiet corner.
This place is a worthy member of the outstanding Asheville restaurant community. Food is great (consensus at our table). Nice location if you are planning a downtown activity.
Family of four, including a 94/year old went out the night before Thanksgiving. The food was deliciously, atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, and the service very good.
Very good food and an excellent wine list. Clearly the burgers are the thing to order but we ordered wreck fish, trout, pork crepinettes and a braised beef and it was all terrific. Still, when we go back, I think I am going to have to try the ribeye burger and fries.
