Table 5 Ratings and Reviews
Great dinner at Table 5. Seated right on time. Server was very respectful, gave us lots of time to talk and never pressured us to order or hurry through dinner. Calamari appetizer was good but small compared to other restaurants so be forewarned. Not enough to share for four. Bar area is busy but sound did not carry much. Food was very good. A bit pricey but given overall experience worth it.
We go to Table5 on a regular basis, usually to seat at the Bar and eat from the bar menu, but sometimes in the main room as well. I think the food is one of the best in the metro Detroit area, they regularly have specials that are outstanding. Located downtown Northville so you can walk and shop around, have a drink nearby and eat outside in the warm weather
The only thing that was unpleasant on this particular visit was the parking. It was very cold (single digits) and this restaurant has very limited street parking in front where their only entrance door is located. I dropped off my wife at the front entrance but I had to walk around block from rear parking lot to the front entrance. NOTE: Other restaurants on this street have a rear entrance for the convenience of their customers. Wound have been much worst if it had been snowing bad.
The food is stellar here, as it always is. The service, however, was a bit suspect. It took forever for someone to come to our table, and then to get our drink order. Then there was a long wait until our order was taken. After that, it did pick up. Could have been a busy time??
Table 5 continues to be one of the best dining experiences in SE Michigan. An outstanding menu...fish pate appetizer, delectable salads(that they will split for you if you want to share) and excellent entrees. The halibut, the scallops and their steak always are excellently prepared with tasty sides. Their service team are always friendly and knowledgeable.
The place is awesome, service was outstanding.
Wine selection was pretty good, appetizers were tasty.
Wasn’t so happy with the main courses though. My husband and I love fish but both walleye and halibut were somehow fried and lost their natural taste. We were expecting something light, but felt heavy. If they’d been grilled/steamed would have gotten our 100%.
Unfortunately for the restaurant, there was a nearby water main break that drove diners in from other areas, making the restaurant particularly busy for a Tuesday night. It appeared to be understaffed resulting in an overly long dining experience. That said, the server was trying hard and the food was outstanding. If they are serving the halibut, get it. It is so good!
I will be back for sure as I am certain this was not the usual for this restaurant.
Very trendy rustic atmosphere. On the day we went the menu was virtually completely new. We didn't know until after we arrived. We had the brussel sprouts, steak bites, soup, and calamari along with some beer and wine. Everything was fantastic. The sprouts were probably best...the steak bites a little over cooked but still very good. Great spot. Would definitely return.
Long time customers tonight for our Anniversary. Food always excellent! Seemed like a shortage of waitstaff service not up to normal. Wish Table 5 would return to boutique or more unique interesting wines as when they first opened. Wine menu is very common and not on par with the food menu.
