Table 5 Ratings and Reviews
The place is awesome, service was outstanding.
Wine selection was pretty good, appetizers were tasty.
Wasn’t so happy with the main courses though. My husband and I love fish but both walleye and halibut were somehow fried and lost their natural taste. We were expecting something light, but felt heavy. If they’d been grilled/steamed would have gotten our 100%.
Unfortunately for the restaurant, there was a nearby water main break that drove diners in from other areas, making the restaurant particularly busy for a Tuesday night. It appeared to be understaffed resulting in an overly long dining experience. That said, the server was trying hard and the food was outstanding. If they are serving the halibut, get it. It is so good!
I will be back for sure as I am certain this was not the usual for this restaurant.
Very trendy rustic atmosphere. On the day we went the menu was virtually completely new. We didn't know until after we arrived. We had the brussel sprouts, steak bites, soup, and calamari along with some beer and wine. Everything was fantastic. The sprouts were probably best...the steak bites a little over cooked but still very good. Great spot. Would definitely return.
Long time customers tonight for our Anniversary. Food always excellent! Seemed like a shortage of waitstaff service not up to normal. Wish Table 5 would return to boutique or more unique interesting wines as when they first opened. Wine menu is very common and not on par with the food menu.
We made our reservation at Table 5 after viewing the menu on the Open Table app. We were so disappointed when we arrived at the restaurant to find that the menus handed to us were different than what we were expecting based on the app. We opted to have a quick appetizer and head somewhere else for dinner. Regardless of the errors, the appetizer and drinks we had were wonderful and the wait staff was even better.
Underwhelming. Wine, bread and butter, and salad...great! Loved it. My entree and dessert, not so much. I had the beef brisket. Most of it was cool to the touch as well as my broccoli. Potatoes were very good though. I had the lemon blueberry dessert with lavender ice cream. I was a little disappointed. The ice cream was wonderful but the rest was just lemon blueberry mush with chunks of graham crackers. I'd definitely give the restaurant another shot but first impression wasn't much.
This was our first visit to Table 5. The occasion was my wife's 75th birthday celebration and I wanted to try a restaurant we had never visited before. The computerized reservation system was a bit of a chore because the logic used to change our initial reservation from 6 to 4 persons was not immediately clear, but after I took a chance and selected an option to schedule a new appointment, it seemed to work. Travel and parking for the restaurant was unexpected because Main Street by the restaurant was cordoned off from traffic because of a neighborhood concert so we had to choose an alternate parallel road to seek parking. Delightfully we located parking easily and proceeded to the restaurant by foot. Once we arrived, we found our table waiting and already prepared. The restaurant staff was gracious even though we had arrived about 20 minutes early and had to wait for our guests to arrive. We ordered an appetizer dish of stuffed baked peppers to munch on while waiting and no sooner did the peppers arrive at our table when our guests arrived too. The waiter very quickly adjusted by getting them drinks and additional plates from which to sample these appetizers, which were delightful by the way. The dinner menu was filled with a variety of options (fish, fowl, steak, etc.) and our choices were wonderfully done and delicious. My organic baked chicken was the best I have had in years. Then we had dessert, which again was a wonderful selection of fresh, original choices. My daughter and granddaughter chose dishes with a mix of fruit and purple ice cream. What fun! They loved it. And my wife received a home baked treat on a plate where "happy birthday" was drizzled in chocolate and a candle was burning. Great touch, Table 5!
All in all, it was a wonderful evening. Great spacious seating, colorful décor, wonderful food, very competent and considerate wait staff, and reasonable noise level.
We WILL eat here again!
