   We passed through Roanoke and asked around for some good dinner options. Table 50 didn’t disappoint! The sweet potato gnocchi is phenomenal! My husband had a pesto pasta with shrimp and I had the buttermilk fried chicken. Both were outstanding! The chicken was moist and flavorful-not greasy at all-and the pesto pasta was fresh and light. The cocktails were outstanding as well! Plus they had an awesome soundtrack playing during night we were there! Not too loud and not too quiet- a perfect night!

   Maddie was our waitress and we were lucky to have here. From the moment we were seated, she ensured we were taken care of. To ensure I was satisfied with my ‘red wine by the glass’ she brought out the owner who reviewed my criteria and my choices. The wine paired perfectly with my Filet and Fried Oysters. The prices were low and the food quality was high. A winning combination.

    The fried chicken was the star of the show and incredibly well prepared. The ribeye left a lot to be desired. Wine list was great but formatted oddly which isn't a big deal but was noticeable. Great experience overall.

    The scallops, the mussels, the salads, the wine selection were prepared well, tasted great and great presentation too! The wait staff attentive ‘. Crème Brûlée and Limoncello cake excellent! Looking forward to coming back!

    I made reservations several days in advance. Upon arriving we were seated in the front of the restaurant by the bar at the bar height tables. It was in front of the window where the sun was in our eyes as it was setting. This is where they sat anyone else who walked in and said that they didn’t have any reservations. Our waitress was friendly enough, however the other servers that also served us were not. Our water was filled several times, which was the only real positive part of the service we received. The food was okay. The menu sounded much better than the food tasted. We had come from out of town to celebrate my husband’s birthday. For the price that we paid, it was overall an extremely disappointing experience.

    Tiffany did an excellent job and was very cheery :) Goat cheese & baby spinach salad were both great (tried the spinach salad w the Dijon vinaigrette- super !) Had the bbq shrimp app- nice light option but def spice- its for pepper lovers!! Entrees were tasty as well - burger outstanding and among the best in town - temperature was spot on; as an aside the servers worked well together and were all pleasant- one of our “go to’s” in town- bon appetit!

    This has turned into our go/to in town for fine dining. The fried oyster appetizer is incredible, all of the entrees are good and we’ve tried them all. A decent bourbon collection and fairly limited seating so make a reservation.

    Table 50 is the perfect restaurant for any occasion. The lighting was just perfect, not too bright and there wasn’t any loud music to detract from the ambience. When we first arrived and it was busier, it seemed a little loud, but may be because the ceilings are high. We noticed the noise, but it wasn’t annoying. The entire staff was friendly and our waitress, Emily, was delightful. Both the menu and cocktails were very creative. Lots of parking available and in a nice location in Center in the Square in downtown Roanoke. I would highly recommend Table 50.

    We loved our experience at Table 50. A return visit to Roanoke must include another evening here. I will attempt to attach a few photos. The cocktails were a Manhattan and the Lemon Drop. Appetizers were PEI Mussels and baked cornbread dusted oysters. Our mains were one of the daily specials, the trout, and the ahi tuna. Desserts (no photos) were bread pudding and crème brûlée 2 ways. All accompanied by a very nice Pinot Noir from Oregon — chosen with the assistance of our excellent server (Amelia?). Every sip, every morsel was divine. The tables are nicely spaced. The noise level is a little high, but that probably relates to current restaurant design and it’s embrace of hard surfaces.

    My girlfriend and I were seated and watched 4 other groups come in, be seated, drinks served and meal selection taken. All while we had been given water and that was it!!! I have never felt so dismissed in my life. The biggest problem is I had plans to ask my gf to marry me. Needless to say that was delayed until later at a different place. Great ambiance…don’t know about food but service from wait staff is horrible. Hostess was very surprised to hear we had this happen.

    What a nice dinner out !!! We were seated as soon as we arrived which was appreciated. The scallop appetizer is not to be missed. The sauce was a good mix with the bread offered prior to the entree. The steak special with mashed potatoes and asparagus was delicious. Most importantly the vanilla crème brûlée is the best in the area. Thank you for a relaxing evening.

    Ate there with wife during restaurant week hoping the value would be commiserate with the portion. Waitress brought out one of the 1st course starters but not my wife's. Then, prior to bringing out my wife's starter, she brought out a dinner salad before I was finished with my starter. The main course finally came out and I had the tuna over risotto. I know tuna is supposed to be served rare, but it's not supposed to be served cold. I'm not sure how they got the tuna to be cold while sitting on lukewarm risotto. There are many much better places to eat in Roanoke.

    Was a very pleasant first visit, we were sat at the “Paul Newman” table which was very nice and private but yet good views of the atmosphere. Our meals were very good and perfect portions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend you trying this restaurant if you are in the downtown area.

    Very Loud! Food quality- average but overpriced! Ordered Scallops - overcooked and too salty with 3 medium scallops on the plate. Ordered Tuna - large tendon throughout and couldn’t chew through it. Ordered orange/Grand Marnier crème brûlée - it was bland with no orange flavor and in a small ramekin dish - not large enough to share.
