Table 26 Ratings and Reviews
VERY noisy. The table was too large for four people and it was inside; we booked for outside, but the table wasn’t available. Talking, therefore, was extremely difficult. The food was very good, but service was slow and inefficient. I asked for a small order of a vegetable side dish because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all — and told the waiter to charge the full price. (Wasting food is distasteful to me.). The waiter delivered the full size and I could only eat a small amount. I’m not a fan of doggy bags — they imply being served too much food in the first place. I’d recommend Table 26 and come back, but will be pickier about the table and emphasis on what I want to eat.
I love Table 26. I usually eat here for dinner but it was a convenient place for my friends to meet for lunch. The soups were delicious, the grill cheese—thick and gooey, and portions generous enough to split. Unusual for me to criticize, but I was not a fan of the kale salad, at least, it was not what i’ve Had in the past. The cappuccinos were lukewarm but tasty.
We were early but they seated us immediately. Laura was excellent. She was attentive but not hovering. She did a great job explaining the menu and specials and sold us up on an appetizer and an extra vegetable to share. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. We will come back when we are in the area.
This was our first lunch experience at Table 26. We have had dinner there a few other times. We love the environment and have never been disappointed in the food or service. It is a bit on the pricey end so it would be an occasional splurge or special client that would precipitate our visit. I look forward to coming in when I can try one of the specialty cocktails.
Table 26 has always served excellent food - wonderful!
The service has been very good before. This time our server was not as attentive.
We were there at lunchtime and it was not crowded which limited the noise level.
The evenings are busier and the noise level is very high. We cannot dine there sitting inside and I have heard others say the same.
But - it is a superb restaurant and is always booked !!
This was our first time to Table 26. I arrived prior to my friends and sat at the bar. There are approximately 10-12 seats. The female bartender didn't acknowledge me for well over 6-8 minutes and I had to call her over to ask for a wine list. Another woman came in and sat at the bar and she was served immediately because the bartender knew her. I finally got a small pour of Pinot Noir noticeably less compared to the gentleman sitting next to me. He had been there on another occasion and sat after I did. The bartender also acknowledged him quickly. It then took too long to close the check out particularly since I gave her my card immediately after receiving a glass of wine. My friends arrived and we fully enjoyed the ambiance and food. Our dinner took a bit of time to come out and the server offered us another drink which I did not take, but my friends did. Our server was very attentive and we appreciated her. Table 26 is a bit pricey compared to other exceptional restaurants in the area.
We chose this restaurant for a special evening the night before Christmas Eve - we made OT reservations - and did arrive 25 minutes early but got a table immediately. Unfortunately, it was a too-large table for 4 (we were 2) in the center of a too-crowded patio. And - one of the 2-tops, next to the wall, had been improvised into a 3-top so that the chair of a large man was pushed against the back of my chair. There were no options for seating at our table that weren't in the aisle or pushed against another person - and the waiters and patrons kicked our chairs and had us moving around throughout the meal as they delivered food, drinks, went to the bathroom, etc. The one vegan option on the menu, a veggie-burger, was tasty and good - with delicious sweet potato fries. The bruleed goat-cheese salad was one of the better salads I've had, ever. Both were $16/$15 - for an idea of the price point of the restaurant. My husband ordered the special - Tile fish - which he normally loves. He said it was almost inedible, with an old taste, an extremely small portion, and not well paired with spaghetti squash/marinara ($38). My signature drink (ginger drop) was excellent and reasonably priced ($13) but my husband ordered Capt. Morgan/DCoke and instead received Myers (much different). He ordered a Caesar's to start ($16) and said it was fine. Our waiter sloshed our drinks at, on, and near us during the evening - starting with our initial cocktails and ending with our coffees. She was MIA during most of the dinner...and overall, while we had driven an hour to try out this highly rated restaurant, we were really disappointed.
My first visit on a recommendation. From Jam the hostess to our entire wait staff, the service was incredible. I had the lobster Mac and cheese and it was delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Ill be visiting again on my next trip to south Florida.
