Good local fare in a comfortable environment, good service, decent food. Not gourmet or edgy, but reliably good comfort food.
We had two Lenten meals
The salmon stuffed flounder and the vegetables stuffed pasta. As an appetizer we shared a polenta dish with a balsamic reduction and mushrooms. The food was excellent! The service was very friendly.
Great, what more can I say
The food was very average. The waitress was very good.
My one son got a steak which he said was good and the other got ribs which he liked. Daughter got lobster Mac N Cheese but she thought lobster tasted previously frozen. I got the Shepard Pie which was eh! Daughters boyfriend got a burger no complaints. Ordered duck fritter app, consensus was it did not even taste like duck. Also jerk chicken fondue. The chicken in that app got the best feedback of any of the meals.
Husband got seafood jambalaya , he felt the portion was small which it was and taste was fair. Desserts were very average.
My only issue was we had a 7:45 was told 5 minutes by a gentleman so we sat to the side. 3 groups of 7:45's came in and seated immediately so I had to go up to the desk to ask as we seemed to have been forgotten about. When I asked what was going on with us, the hostess said I was just going to ask you the same thing and she did at that point set us immediately. She was not at the desk when the gentleman told us 5 minutes, it was more like 15. The food was delish...Have been there before and will be back!!
Best restaurant in Rutland by far
Best restaurant in Rutland. A class above others
I liked it there...but it was to cold to really enjoy and not enough choices on the menu and the prices are way to high
An excellent restaurant !!!
Highly recommend , you must have a meal there, everything we had was outstanding!!!
Very tasty, well prepared, beautifully presented. All very reasonably priced.
Great drinks too with good selection of on tap beers.
Thank you again!!!
Didn’t like that we were told another reservation was set for our table at 7:15 but that we should have plenty of time since we had 1.75 hours. We have eaten at many places much nicer than this and never was told that before. My husband was even in the restaurant business years before as a chef and never would a restaurant tell a customer that. When we left quite a bit later than 7:15 there were many open tables and no one seemed to be waiting for ours.
Table 24 was always a stop for dinner during the Killington Classic. This year we decided to drive the 100 miles for our 41st anniversary dinner. It was everything we remembered and more. We had the daily specials, dessert with a glass of wine. The menu selection is robust with a good wine list. Carrie was very pleasant and paid just right amount of attention. We will certainly go back.
We really enjoyed our lunch time meal at Table 24. It was a birthday celebration and the service was excellent. . However, it was very chilly for the whole time we were there, to the point of being a bit uncomfortable. The food was good and the service was excellent, so we will go back. Hope the heat isn't an issue next time.
I like the traditional wine glasses especially on Monday nights for the half- priced wines by the glass. Casual atmosphere makes it a great place to meet friends. Service was very attentive and sales orientated. Not sure why we haven't frequented this restaurant more often hopefully, that will change. Menu items were reasonably priced.
I ordered the duck pasta. It was inedible, way too much salt and not very hot. It was removed from the bill. It was too late to order anything else. Ate half my boyfriends burger.
They did not honor the reservations I had made for The Porch, even though I had made them months in advance!
Nice restaurant, convenient location, good food
I love the food and beer selection Table 24 has. Its a great place to go for any get together.
I used Google to find a restaurant near the Paramount Theater and Table24 was one of the best rated AND open on a Monday. What a find! Their menu warned the wood fired rotisserie prime rib was limited ability and we used the OpenTable reservation to request a cut for our meal. My husband said it was the best prime rib he'd ever had. I had duck with goat cheese gnocchi and wood fired brussel sprouts in a delicious sauce that was on the special list but our server said was going to be on the menu soon. The tastes were amazing. Salad was separate from the entrees, but each one was clearly crafted for us and delicious. Mondays, wine by the glass was half price. Table24 had a burger menu too for those who want to eat more on a budget, but most were uniquely crafted burgers. When we first arrived for our 5:45 reservation it was quiet and the music was nice. By the time we left a little after 7, every table was full and it was too loud to hear the music, but still a delightful atmosphere.
It was delicious, as always! I always recommend Table to my lodge guests. My friends and I love going there for girls night! Never take the duck risotto fritters off the menu! They are like thanksgiving in a bite!
I was staying overnight in Rutland and was drawn to Table 24 by the positive reviews and the various awards received over the years. Also their specialty is wood-fired cooking which I love. At the suggestion of my server I chose the chicken and ribs, a house specialty. I was expecting juicy melt in your mouth meat. Overall I was disappointed. Both the chicken and the ribs were dry and not very tasty. The ribs were also tough. The best part of the meal were the cowboy beans and corn bread accompaniemenents which were both delicious.
The roasted Cod was undercooked and obvious to all four of us at dinner. We requested it be sent back and cooked. It returned uncooked again. I believe the server just set it under the warming lamp for a few minutes. The server never offered a second cocktail nor coffee. We all shared our food with the person who had the cod because the server did not return to check after delivering the plate the second time. She did offer and take the cod off the bill once she saw it was untouched. The coleslaw was 50% parsley and the cowboy beans were adequate. The cornbread, filet, burger and shepherds pie were all excellent.
Prime rib was okay! I would have expected better flavor; wasn't cooked as requested.
The skillet cornbread, prime rib egg rolls and fish and chips were outstanding ! So much to choose we can't wait to come back to Table 24!
Enjoyed everything, look forward to visiting again.
There was a glitch when we arrived. There was no hostess and we had to search for someone to seat us. The Open Table reservation was not noted.
The food was excellent. The service was a bit slow.
Great food, nice atmosphere. A little pricey, but the food is good. The loaded nachos are awesome!
Every dining experience here has been exceptional. Food is always fantastic! If you ever encounter a problem, they fix it right away without an attitude. The servers are generally pleasant and warm although they can get busy taking orders for larger groups so there might be a bit of a wait to get something occasionally. My only drawback for this restaurant would be the noise level. It's usually very busy so it tends to get a bit loud. It's 'special' enough for date night or an anniversary but warm enough to take the kids to a nice family dinner too. We have never had a bad experience here!!
Great wood oven menu and ambiance. Service is very friendly and attentive. Easy parking, nice spot for either casual or business dining.
Good food, good service, good atmosphere, and hands down the best cheeseburger in Rutland.
the restaurant was cozy make sure you make a reservation and try the parmagranit martinies
we had 5 people , and we also asked for a booth, which helped in the coziness of the evening. Everyone enjoyed our meals, ... service was efficient, and friendly
all in all we had a wonderful evening
This was our first dining experience at Table 23 and my husband and I would return in a heart beat. The menu was interesting offering a variety of appetizers, large- meal type- salads, sandwiches and dinner entrees. There was also a good wine list. I selected the soup - broccoli cheddar - and wood fired salmon and asparagus. The soup was tasty - and the salmon and asparagus were each cooked to perfection. The portions were sufficient. In fact, I took some salmon home. Our waitress Katie was very friendly and knowledgeable about all items on the menu. She described how certain items wee prepared in great detail.
We hope to return.
Overall it was good although I was disappointed, after reading some reviews, I found the Lobster Mac and Cheese to be lacking in one ingredient - the one enhancement I was hoping to find - Lobster!!! If I do return, it won't be for that!!
Yet again a good meal with friendly service. Although I didn't take advantage of it there were some specials on the wine list if you had it by the glass. But for me they don't need special deals, their men u is good value.
I owed my wife and a friend of hers a nice dinner out. We always enjoy Table 24. They have a very good menu and the food has been very consistent. We had a great time. The food and the service were excellent.
Great service! Our server actually made our Table 24 experience more enjoyable! He was absolutely great. The food was wonderful - hangar steak was especially good, as was the swordfish (special). Too full for dessert!
everything was great but prime rib was a little overcooked
One of our guests had the classic chicken and it was nothing special, overpriced, just small piece of chicken , lots of gravy and a scoop of mashed potatoes. Disappointing
We had the chicken, it was tasteless potato was cold and server was cold as well. We have has several good meals in the past but for some reason everything was off those day.
The shrimp/corn soup is wonderful. There is always something for everyone on the menu.
