Every time I’ve gone I’ve had an amazing meal! We go here when any friends come to town.
I had the pleasure of dinning with my daughter one night and it was so great I had dinner later in week with my son. Due to their schedules we were unable to get together at the same time.
We were walk in on Monday and I used the open table for a friday dinner to ensure a reservation as I noticed they filled up quickly Monday and could only imagine how busy a Friday night would be. It was a good thing I did
We had wonderful meals both nights
The service was great, food very good and attractive decor and ambience. I would recommend this restaurant but be aware that there is no parking lot, and difficult to orient one's self on a one-way street. We happened to go on a dark, rainy night with no prior knowledge of the parking problem, so just call head of time and ask about parking garages and directions to them. My husband ended up walking quite a distance in the rain. Also, we were seated on a windowed-in porch in the front and the noise level was really bad. If you intend to carry on a conversation, ask to be seated in a quieter location. We did like Table 24.
We love coming here we have a place in Vermont and visit Table 24 at least twice a year . My husband needs to sit at a table and they are always accommodating to us !
We arrived early for our reservation and placed our order in a reasonable time. After over an hour wait with multiple changing excuses, a manager came out with an explanation. Our order wasn’t complicated: 3 burgers, 1 mac n’ cheese and a steak. We left very disappointed by the lack of service and follow up by the owner.
One of our favorite places to go in the area. Have never had a bad experience; food is always good, service is great, friendly people. Happy that they are on OpenTable, best way to get a reservation.
Seriously, why there isn’t a line outside this place every minute it is open I will never know. This is a RESTAURANT. I really know restaurants. Think of it....chef owned, local as possible food sources EXPERTLY cooked. Wait staff that is cool, attentive, friendly, knowledgable, and laid back. From the front of the house to the back, there is a sense of cool condidence that permeates the experience. Very few chefs can cook like this. Literally a perfect local, laid back dining treasure,
Very disappointing - booked a reservation well in advance for our 19th wedding anniversary and was stuffed in the corner in anannex room and they lied to about seating parties of 2 in a spot for a table of 4. Steak ordered was supposed to be medium well which to me means a little pink but came out blood red. I took it home and have to cook it tomorrow night for dinner. Host comped our mason jar cheesecake for this debacle but to me that doesn’t do much. The night was already ruined. I wouldn’t ever eat here again.
The waiter seemed annoyed with us. Did not come refill water. Had to remind him we had put a drink order in. Overall was no attentive or friendly. The food was excellent.
It's always a great meal at Table 24! The food is great, staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality.
Our meals were very good, prime rib, stuffed chicken, and blackened swordfish. My son's shrimp and corn chowder to start was very good and we (3 of us) shared the jerk chicken fondue. The fondue had great flavor but it wasn't very thick. More croutons and apples for dipping and little jerk chicken. All and all it was a good meal and the service was outstanding!!
Continues to be my favorite restaurant in VT... make it part of my time up in VT to stop by for a meal. Great food, great staff, great value
Very dark at our table
Our waiter, Phil was outstanding it was our sons 22nd birthday and we were dining with his girlfriend and her parents. Food was delicious.
We had an excellent meal from start to finish. Our server, Phil provided superb service throughout the evening. This is a real find for an enjoyable evening with great atmosphere and great food.
Good service and great food. Started with drinks at the bar and then moved to a table, everyone was very cordial from the hostess to the bartender and the waiter. Would recommend to a friend.
Wonderful and attentive serving serving really delicious, freshly prepared food in a nice atmosphere!
My wife and I frequent this restaurant regularly, however, we don't have an extensive experience with the menu as the things that we like are so unbelievably good that we don't order anything else for fear of a letdown. The Jerk Chicken Fondue appetizer is AMAZING!!! My wife always gets a variation of Salmon and I always get the Filet Mignon.....let me tell you something about this Filet...I would trade one of my children for this dish. I have eaten at several high end restaurants in my life including a Gordon Ramsey joint in NYC and NOTHING comes close to the quality of food that I get from Table 24. After almost every visit I want to run back in the kitchen and hug the Chef and give high fives to the staff. Yeah, it's that good.
Stopped in on a lark and found the food exceptional. The stress appeared to be on contrast of taste which made each course better than the prior on. Plates were creative and sizes of servings proportional. Prices were moderate to the low side which made the experience just that much better. Service by Chloe was great, she made appearances at appropriate times and her attitude made us loosen up and enjoy the meal.
Fantastic food. Always great service. Creative dishes!
A true restaurant after a whole week of hamburgers and similar. Nice finding.
Really great food and service! Entrees were fresh and delicious, with good variety of options. It was like eating a fantastic home-cooked meal that we didn't have to cook and could enjoy. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We have been traveling for 4 weeks, eating in locally owned restaurants. There comes a point when all you want is a well made simple meal. My husband had the Shepherd’s pie and I had mushroom filled ravioli in wine broth. Perhaps someone else would comment that the mushrooms were sparse but I was just happy with a bland meal. My only comment is that the preparer did not cook off the wine. I gave 3 stars for ambiance because we were not seated in the main dining room. Parking is difficult.
We enjoyed our evening at Table 24. Excellent service, food and ambiance
From the outside it looks like a simple average restaurant, the inside was great.
I enjoyed my summer punch cocktail. The salad was reasonably priced, good enough for two to share. My catfish was delicious, great with the pesto sauce. My partner enjoyed his stuffed flounder.
The mason jar cheese cake was wonderful.
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about our dietary concerns and helped guide us to excellent options. We had a great dinner and the atmosphere and decor were wonderful.
Tasty prime rib
The duck fritters were outstanding, and the nachos, stuffed flounder, and barbecue chicken and brisket were amazing. The food was good and the appetizers were marvelous.
One of our favorites, from great burgers to pork tenderloin. Haven't had a questionable meal there.
Service was very good. Food was very good and the price was reasonable. Will definitely go back and will take out of town guest there. Highly recommend!
Average dining experience. Nothing special to make it stand out. Less gluten free options than we were hoping for.
Excellent, creative menu serving extremely fresh ingredients. Management attentive to guests needs. Bar is a great place to enjoy a meal.
The restaurant has a very nice vibe--energetic but quiet enough for people to hear each other. The food was great. Everyone in our party really liked what they ordered.
The food was very mediocre at best! We had been there a year ago and the food was better and it was very noisy! Greatly disappointed for the price.
We always have a good time at Table 24 and never get a bad meal
table 24 is one of our favorite places to dine in Rutland! Good food and outstanding service with the friendliest staff in town!
Aside from the mediocre pork ribs everything was absolutely delicious!
Maybe it was because it was a Monday but service was extremely slow and an appetizer item was never delivered (and thankfully never charged). One waiter seemed to handle everyone n dining area (about 15 diners) and the bar. Food, as always, was very good.
Excellent cantaloupe sorbet. Specials were good as was the salmon dinner. Prefer that dishes not be removed until everyone has finished eating. Also like different flatware after appetizers or salads. Water needed ice. Service was attentive.
