We have been back to Table several times before and each time it was good. However, on this occasion, they were out of two of the main entrees at 7 PM, the lamb ribs were under seasoned, the tenderloin was tough. Other dishes were OK. The octopus was still the best dish of the night. Consistency is a hallmark of a good restaurant. The chef and management of Table need to wake up and not sit on its past laurels. Restaurant business is tough and one needs to be vigilant in keeping up its craft.

I love this place for Brunch! I have been a number of times and will go back again. Never been their for dinner or lunch though but if it is anything like their brunch it must be good. I am a vegetarian and while I found the menu to be less vegetarian friendly the last time I went compared to the times before that, I still found something delicious. I highly recommend this place for a more fancy brunch!

Before our event at the Warner Theatre, we wanted a great meal and were so thrilled with Table. The menu and food were fabulous. We had the and Crab Toast which was prepared right in front of where we were seated. For the main course, we were drawn to the Duck and the Black Sea Bass. They were so good we had to share. And the Lemon Olive Oil cake was the perfect dessert to top off our meal. This meal was better than what we've had at many of the other highly-rated restaurants nearby. We plan to return to try other dishes on the menu.

My husband and I went to Table for an early Valentine's dinner after looking on Yelp and not being able to find a last minute reservation at any of our usual go-to spots. Yelp reviews were current and very positive. Our experience at Table was superb!! I haven't had such a wonderful dinner in years or maybe even ever. The flavors were complex and sauces delicious. I enjoyed watching the various dishes being plated behind the counter and all of the staff was so relaxed, unhurried and seemingly worked in concert effortlessly. I ate every drop on my dinner plate, used the amazing bread to wipe up any bits of sauces I missed. Then we ordered dessert, OMG! I ate all of the 6 beignets with local honey and was beyond satisfied. Again, I'd watched them being cooked, with the cook never leaving their fat-boiling- little-orb bodies. Now, the sad news. My husband texted me today that Table is closing for good tonight. I am so depressed, I may never recover.

Amazing ingredients and fantastic open kitchen dining room are the strengths of Table. Non fussy preparation and helpful service make this a great place for a Friday/Saturday night with close friends or your honey. Non-food people may not appreciate the quality of the ingredients though.

My husband and I both cook regularly and are very choosy when it comes to eating out. Very few restaurants make the cost and effort of dining out worth it. Basically, the food needs to be pretty spectacular to justify eating outside our home. We only went to Table after I was given a gift certificate. Well, we will be going back. The ambience and service was wonderful, and the food... absolutely amazing. Seemingly simply but with depths of flavors. Additionally, I am vegan and my husband an omnivore. Not many places prepare vegan food at such a caliber as Table does.

Limited and very pricey menu. Only one option for vegetarians which was a plate of vegetables - tasty but tiny. It would have been a side order in any other restaurant. Attentive server but we felt like we were hurried.

We loved this place, the food, the service, and ambience. I had the veal and the others had the chicken dish. The appetizer was good as well, muchroom crepe. Our waitress was fantastic. My sister has food allergies and the staff and chef was so accommodating. I will definitely come back!!! We also enjoyed the open kitchen❤️

A small, somewhat eclectic space with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food was quick to come and very good! Loved the octopus a la plance and the rohan duck! Will definitely go back.

We loved brunch at Table, the atmosphere was very airy and pleasant, even though we were at a very small table for 3. Service was great, as was the food. The begniets cannot be missed !! Everything else was excellent as well, portions were satisfying but not overwhelming, and we all had very balanced dishes. We would totally go back if we were local !

Lovely early evening meal. Staff was incredible, had daughter with nut allergy and they completely were on it. Sat at bar" chef table" and enjoyed watching cooking and seeing tempting dishes. Veggies were incredible. Great neighborhood spot- very warm and inviting. Went with local who will come back.

Boy, has this place gone downhill in the last year. The service was erratic and our server was unable to answer the most basic questions about the menu. One of the members of our party had a nut allergy and ordered the shakshuka, which made no mention of nuts in the description (and typically does not have nuts). Yet on the first bite it was clear that there were nuts in the dish. Our server assured us that there weren't nuts but agreed to check with the chef. He came back a few minutes later to say that there were indeed nuts, but didn't know which ones. It made for a very unpleasant experience. Table used to be a great neighborhood spot for yummy food, but I don't plan to be going back.

A little gem. Food was great. You are seated at bare bones, yet cool, wooden tables, almost like a desk with cushions available. You have a full view of the kitchen. Instead of a long noisy bar, they use most of their bar as their kitchen. Very cool for foodie gazing! Reserve early as its not a big place.

Truly excellent fare both the omnivore and the vegan (vegetarian dishes easily made vegan) and the wait staff was very helpful. What I liked best about the restaurant is that the vegetarian/vegan dishes were not incidental to the menu, as one still finds in many restaurants. But rather, the vegetarian entree was a curated dish, presented with intention and finesse. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars across the board was that the smoke coming off the grill was significant enough to bother my asthma. For others who can't tolerate the smoke, I understand that there is upstairs seating, and would suggest that they call ahead to make sure that the upstairs seating section is open. I would also suggest inquiring as to whether the upstairs is better or separately ventilated; I can't speak to that at present.

We had a great meal with friends who recently moved in the DMV area and we were all pleased. Food and service were top. Only minus to mention: seating upstairs by the window I really felt the cold from outside.

The food is delicious here, but the restaurant seems to have slid backwards in polish and ambiance in the past year or so. Not quite a fave destination anymore. Perhaps the seating is a little too rustic and uncomfortable for the prices you'll pay. Noticed a gnat flying around our table near the cooking station. Also, the rooftop is now closed.

Poor service, the upstairs area was freezing, the food was mediocre, the coffee wasn't hot, tables were uncomfortable, and overall a huge disappointment for what I had heard about and hoped for this place.

Finally, a farm to table dining experience that doesn't make me feel like I'm in a scene from Portlandia. Loved our server on Friday. Wish I had caught her name. Good cocktail. Really, really good food. Unpretentious and excellent. Will definitely go back.

I recommended Table for a friend's birthday, after having a great dinner there with my husband in November. The setting was great and I just think it is an adorable restaurant. That being said, there were a few missteps that aren't hard to fix, but should be attended too quickly. With all the competition in DC for great restaurants, Table has all the fixings to be up there with the best of them-but not if they don't fix some of the issues: the ventilation is horrible. I love the open kitchen concept, but I don't love leaving smelling like a smokey kitchen. The service the first time I went was exceptional and literally raved about it. This time was a different case: our waiter, while very nice, was clearly new and struggling with all of it. I want Table to be great and live up to it's potential, but it needs some attention to detail. The Pros: Adorable setting and ambiance Top menu choices: Black rice, Black Sea Bass, Duck (tho a little salty), Beignets some of the cocktails (don't try so hard-just make solid, good, uncomplicated drinks) The Cons: Please get a better ventilation system Please provide drink menus that don't disintegrate when they get wet Please properly train the staff Better wine list-it was ok, but I wasn't really impressed-again, don't try to be so fancy and unique-find a good sommelier and get a solid wine list ( and again, please seal the menu so it wont get ruined when water gets on it) I will absolutely be back, but do think it needs some work...

We booked here for a group dinner of 7, and at the last minute our group expanded to 9. Whilst Table advised they could not fit 9 to the table, we were happy to split and place two at the bar. Table placed the remaining two on a waitlist and phoned me to say the had a cancellation and could seat us all together. We ended up spending 4 hours at the restaurant, being the last to leave. The food was fabulous, the winelist extensive, and the service fantastic.
