Too pricy for such small portions. The tables and chairs are not comfortable ...makes you want to just eat and leave. It’s a place for quick meal only
I just had a fabulous dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were greeted warmly, the service was spectacular, and the food was delicious. Thank you for such a special night!
Delicious food, wonderful server
Awesome, as usual!
The most authentic tapas in boston!!!
We were seated quickly. I had grilled langoustines. Tasty but hard to manage, with a lot of oil on them. A table knife was provided. My wife asked for a steak know as she had with her lamb chops. A lobster fork is what was really needed to deal with these guys. The chops were tasty but a bit greasy. They were served over limp frites, which were covered in the grease from the chops. Best part of the meal for me were the Spanish olives.
Fantastic wine selection and knowledge. Menu has a variety to suit every palate. Paella was the best I've had in the local area.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Taberna de Haro. I am not sure where I should start because we were extremely happy with everything : the service, the atmosphere, the food (special thumbs up on the pig ears!), and of course the wine and the sherry. The restaurant offers an extensive list for both the wine and the sherry. Incredible choices and rare quality. Thank you so much for such a great experience, we definitely will be back!
Almost everything we tried was excellent, bar the fried balls of salted cod, in which there was something violently crunchy that ruined eating any more of them for me. Service was good considering that it was pretty busy, and they recommended a sherry that I LOVED.
The food was absolutely delicious but the level of noise was unwelcome. As the crowd thinned out in the bar area, the atmosphere got a lot better.
The food was excellent, as usual, and our server knew all the details about each new offering. We had plenty of time to catch up and talk without feeling rushed, and enjoyed the warm ambience and character of the high-top dining section. We’re usually summer customers and expected to miss the patio, but we were charmed by the welcoming space inside. Thanks for another perfect meal, Taberna de Haro!
Excellent all around. Took my daughter for her 21st bday. Super nice & attentive staff. Food portions perfect and so good! Will be back soon.
This was my second visit to Taberna de Haro and it doesn't disappoint! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The staff are very knowledgable about the menu, and do a great job explaining the dishes and making recommendations if asked.
Fabulous overall experience
The ambience is festive at Taberna de Haro but the food is definitely pricey for what you get. It is lovely but expensive. The restaurant would do well to get sound-absorbing ceiling tiles - it was difficult to hear and really talk with the people I was dining with.
Outstanding food and ambience. The owner, Deborah is always there making sure all her guests are well taken care of. Wine list superb. All the staff is tuned into the best customer service.
Food was great but delivery disjointed. Busy night and service was extremely SLOW! (almost to the point of walking out).
Great food. Excellent wine recommendation. Nice atmosphere. We would go back - but not soon on a night of an event at Fenway as they were unprepared for the rush between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. The owner was delightful and helping out as much as possible - she brought us cheese on the house as we waited (and apologized for the wait) which was a nice touch. This is a wonderful atmosphere and definitely a lovely place to dine and spend an evening for a date or with friends.
We had a reservation (6:00pm, but due to traffic arrived at 6:10 - did call to notify). We informed our waitress we had a concert and wanted to dine as quickly as possible. Our server visited the table once to take the order (after asking another wait staff member to find her) and once to ensure we paid. The owner explained the menu - our server gave contrary info. She recommended we order more food (even though we explained about the concert and not wanting to have too much food). The extra food was unnecessary. The table next to us had HER COMPLETE ATTENTION AND SHE STOPPED BY THEIR TABLE NO LESS THAN 15 TIMES - our attempts to get her attention when unnoticed. Our neighbors food came out as you'd expect with Tapas - a bit at a time - ours all arrived on our very small table all at once. Again, we would still dine here again. A few rush hour wrinkles we fully expect they will work out.
Sat outside. Food was very tasty . Red Sangria was not sweet...also very tasty. Lovely waitress !
Not true tapas as we thought it was going to be but the food was phenomenal. Prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and quick. I liked the atmosphere, laid back, vibrant, and authentic.
Wonderful atmosphere. Very warm and welcoming staff and service. We sat outside and were allowed to stay undisturbed well into what turned out to be a delightful night.
This is a delicious occasional treat - runs on the expensive side, and many of the non-meat tapas feature cheese or jamon for flavor, so it is not as great for vegans or vegetarians as you might think, though the veggie dishes are wonderful. Inside can be quite noisy, but the patio solves that nicely. On the whole, always a pleasure!
I have been going here for twenty years. It keeps getting better.
Service was exceptional!
Servers were both knowledgeable and kind, making for an delightful, delicious, and educational experience!
The food was good but the price point didn’t match the quality/quantity of the food. Easily expect to spend $100 for two people.
Exquisite Spanish tapas, every dish a total delight and treat, we have been eating there probably starting right after they opened some years ago.
As a teenager, I used to work behind the soda fountain of the Hitchcock Pharmacy drug store that was there in 1960, the summer before I went away to college.
Food choice could include more poultry..and veggies, but all delicious
We spent a lovely evening on the outdoor patio. Service was attentive, food was delicious. If anything, the plates were brought out too quickly!
The food was very good, but I think they need to keep a better track of what’s been ordered.
We were with family and everyone enjoyed the meal. The variety of dishes was great. So many flavors.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food came out quickly and at the right pace.
My daughter was particularly fond of the calamari in squid ink aioli.
Taberna de Haro is an AMAZING experience every time! The service is so wonderful and the space is extremely warm and inviting for however long you plan to stay. I say this because with such a lengthy wine and liquors list, as well as a menu that you can't choose wrong with - you could end up staying for quite a while. A must try!
Food was good but quite expensive for tapas.
My sister has a gluten allergy and the staff was on top of it. We had plenty of food she could eat and she liked everything! The food was good and the presentation was excellent. The half chicken was cooked expertly and the shrimp was perfect and the oil paired well with the bread.
The Patatas bravas were a little drenched and had a bit to much spice to the balance. The space is amazing to be in probably an excellent date spot but we were placed right next to the live music which was great to listen to but very hard to hear one another and we had a lot of traffic with the bar and servers.
Overall I would highly recommend! I will be hopefully returning agin to sample from the wide menu of options!
Wonderful service great food unpretentious relaxed ambiance.
Excellent selection of tapas and insanely extensive wine and sherry list. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Loved it
Lovely tapas and outstanding wine list, with great sherry too. Outdoor seating is a plus!
The sits are not comfortable ...hard wood or metal.
Dinner was wonderful and the sangria hit the spot!
Fantastic evening. Great food. Good wine recommendation.
We were very well taken care of! Such a wonderful neighborhood gathering.
Although a little pricy, the selections were fresh and unique. Totally worth it!!!
