Fatima, our server, was wonderful!!! Well ask to be seated at her table next time.
Obvious COVID protocols being observed, with delicious food and fast courteous service, and a quiet setting making it a terrific venue for a business breakfast.
Lovely ambiance, creative menu, eclectic wine list, professional service. A fine dining experience.
My sisters and I loved this place! We had the burratta appetizer, frize salad, mushroom risotto, halibut and the fish of the day, grouper. Everything was excellent! Such a cozy, charming inn and restaurant. I highly recommend it!
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the Tabard Inn. The staff were gracious to have us and even provided us with complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. A very enjoyable experience and will return for future gatherings.
Great relaxed venue. Good food, easy to get in and out
The space is so cozy and especial. The service was very good, very attentive and pleasant waitress . The food never disappoints. We love this place!
We took my in-laws to brunch before they flew home from their Thanksgiving visit. I’ve always loved The Tabard Inn, so my guests gave me an excuse to go! Warm and friendly, beautiful and really good eating! My Georgia-bred mother-in-law declared that the biscuits we ordered were the best she’d ever eaten. They were especially yummy!
Restaurant in a small boutique hotel. All baked goods are made from scratch on site. The ambiance is quaint with tons of character. The servers operate as a team with everyone observing if there is a need by a customer.
Tabard Inn is such a unique dining experience in DC: go!!
We were disappointed with our Thanksgiving dinner. They were out of some starters and desserts, an indication of poor planning. Worse yet, on our way out, we saw a table with their managers enjoying one of the desserts we tried to order but had been told was sold out (apple cranberry crisp). So basically, the staff was hoarding things for themselves and shortchanging paying customers.
It was a first for us to go out for Thanksgiving dinner, and we thought Tabard Inn would do a good job and would be cozier than many other places. However, the room they put us in was brightly lit and not at all charming or cozy. The prix fixe menu was way overpriced for what it delivered, and the food was mediocre. We won't ever go back for a holiday meal and probably won't go back at all.
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and such a cozy dining room!
Excellent Thanksgiving meal ! This will become an annual tradition.
Thanksgiving dinner was bland
Thanksgiving dinner was so poor my son and I decided it was necessary to let them know. Duck confit salad was strangely overly meaty and not salads (proportions were off), the Caesar came as components, mostly croutons, with anchovies laid on top… felt like we had to make the dish . Just so so.
And the main plate of Turkey was dry, barely seasoned and gravy like water. For $90 each it just did not deliver. Pity
Thanksgiving dinner was just delicious. Outstanding service!
Fabulous setting and exceptional food and service.
Lovely brunch in the atrium. They call this outside but it’s really covered. Beautiful surroundings with art. Delicious food and appropriate service, attentive but not hovering. Omelette and eggs Benedict were perfect!
A must-stop for breakfast/brunch in DC! Always a great meal in a charming setting with kind staff and a quiet vibe. Highly recommend the enclosed patio.
I reserved a table for a friend's birthday. We had a great brunch that included some home-made doughnuts with a candle and a hand-written card for the birthday girl. I really enjoyed the day and the food was great.
Good food, great ambiance, close to the hotel we were at. Have been there before. We go every time we visit DC.
Lovely! Romantic! Delicious! What else can we say?
One of the worst meals I have had in a long time, but maybe others may like raw underseasoned duck. The chef should just focus on cooking good food instead of trying to be creative with Asian themes. The flavors don't match the setting. In addition the cost was higher than the quality of the food, I have never been more disappointed with a meal.
Birthday and holiday
Great food with an amazing waitress and the perfect background music for all genres
Food and ambiance are 10/10!!
Hidden gem of DC.
Amazing experience all around. Thank you!
As usual, everything was very good. Current menu seems limited
Wonderful experience! We went for dinner after work, but it easily could have been a casual spot to meet friends or a romantic evening out. It’s a wonderful venue! The food was exceptional and priced just right! The service was above par. Definitely recommend this place for any type of occasion.
Great ambience. Food is adequate but nothing special. Service great.
Wonderful, full of old world charm, farm to table menu.
As a friend likes to say, "there are two types of people, ones who don't like the Tabbard and then there are my friends". After all the upset and pandemic, how great to find a Washington tradition still going strong. The same great service, the same funky rooms with unique art and the same well cooked and presented meals. For me, Tabbard has always felt like a neighborhood place that you often find in Paris or London. Nothing flashy or precious, just good food, drink and ambiance. BRAVO Tabbard ! for not only keeping the lights on, but also for reminding us that life can be gracious (AGAIN) .
Food was amazing! We had the chicken and waffles and it was a great combination. However, whole experience was brought down by the service. After our drinks came out, we saw our server pass by but she never once checked on us and couldn’t get her attention. We had to go to the bar to get our check. Such a waste!
A wonderful place for a brunch in a old inn near Dupont circle.
Excellent generally but the pork chops had way too much fat.
Super cute restaurant with amazing food
