    The staff was friendly, and the food is delicious. The Bloody Mary is worth the trip, although it's not always available at night. The prices are high, but average for DC and the DuPont Circle area.

    We visit about once a year when we're in town. We're rarely been disappointed. the food was excellent, the courtyard is a unique venue and the staff treated us very well.

    Was at a business event with a client last night and couldn't have been treated better! From the warm greeting to the exceptional service and great meals, everything was great! My only quibble is that the entree prices seem to have gone up pretty substantially lately.

    If you’re looking for ambience it’s a great spot. If you’re looking for great food, probably not the best choice. I don’t mind high prices if the food is good. I just felt that there are many other places, high end places, with cheaper costs, better food, and comparable ambience.

    The food was excellent and ample. In our party of five we had the rockfish, vegetarian orzo, veal chop and duck. All excellent. One person had an elderflower cocktail which she loved. We were so stuffed there was no room for dessert. We miss Fritzi!. Tabbard Inn won't be the same without her lively presence.

    My wife and I met a visiting friend here for lunch yesterday (6 June 2023). We had not eaten here in several years and were pleasantly reminded why I have seen several favorable reviews recently. Our friend had the chicken breast sandwich: my wife, shrimp and grits; and I, eggs Benedict. All ere quite good and we appreciated the weekday brunch menu offering almost something for everyone. Service was great and our friend remarked on the charm of the Tabard Inn.

    Food was very good. Service was fine except for one of the hostesses who really should find a job that does not interact with the public. This use to be one of my favorite restaurants when I live in DC for 10 years. The hostesses was so unpleasant and terse I feel like I will simply not return. It’s weird to pay for someone to be so rude… and quite uncalled for.

    I've been fond of the Tabard Inn for a while and this visit validated to me how much I liked it. I was delayed for a very special dinner with my friends due to traffic, but the staff made them feel welcomed and properly accommodate them. Throughout the evening, the staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food presentation was on point and tasted so wonderful! I'm beyond thankful for the restaurant's patience, and kindness and for fulfilling an evening beyond our expectation. Thank you!!

    The experience has been good in the past. However, the restaurant is trying to serve too many people. Kitchen and bar could not handle. We waited 10 minutes for some to take a drink order and 40 minutes between appetizers and entrees. Not a good experience.

    We had a wonderful time at The Tabard Inn! The setting was beautiful -- the ambiance was awesome, and our entrees were spectacular. Our appetizer (burrata) and dessert (carrot cake) were just OK, which was a little disappointing, but, overall, it was a great meal!

    If weather permits, the patio seating is a lovely area. I had the delicious duck breast entree and my husband had the fish special of the night which was rockfish, beautifully prepared. Will definitely eat here again.

    Hotel and service excellent. Very disappointed with the food. Peruvian chicken with rice was $30 bucks. The rice and chicken was dry and would lose many times over against a local, fast food Peruvian restaurant in my neighborhood that would have costed less than $15 (and comes with black beans and plantains too!). The restaurant’s effort to accommodate my 3yr old was a pricey plate of boiled pasta shells with grated cheese on top; literally had NO taste. Not sure what changed with the dining; used to love dinner here but might only be worth appetizers and drinks?

    I sat on the patio and it was a beautiful experience. Every single person who works there is so kind and polite. I really appreciated the whole experience. Food was DELICIOUS. This was my second time here and I will return.

    I was surprised at how good the food was. The Georgian wine was outstanding. Our waitress was so friendly and made very good (and honest) food and wine recommendations. And the music was dreamy, definitely will go on Sunday night again.

    The hostess seemed surprised to see us when we arrived on time for our reservation even though I had confirmed it the day before. Once we were served, our food was delicious. Being seated and being served, however, were at a glacial pace - no explanations were offered, and no seeming awareness that we’d not been served for more than 45 minutes after ordering. Our party of 3 felt largely ignored. A disappointing experience based on past visits. We wondered about staffing levels because the service was not up to standards.

    I have enjoyed Tabard Inn for more than 15 years. The menu is wonderful and usually the service is great. We were really disappointed in the service today. After waiting an inordinate amount of time, we were provided water, then waited more time to ask for coffee, etc. When our order came, no one ever checked on us. Although my cup was empty when the food was brought, we were never offered a refill on our $6 cup of coffee. Indeed our server blatently AVOIDED us! We had to flag down another server to get our check, but since we apparently have the super power of invisibility, perhaps we should have just left! It has been awhile since we were treated this poorly.
