T-Michaels Steak and Lobster Ratings and Reviews
I brought my family here after work to check out restaurant week. My 7 month old granddaughter was greeted with smiles and lovely compliments from staff and patrons.
I’m picky about where I spend my money, so I was very impressed with food and service.
We drove almost an hour to get there, but we agreed it was worth it and we would like to return.
This was the first time we dined at T-Michaels Steak & Lobster Restaurant. We were very impressed with the impeccable service, beautiful view and great food. Both the Steak dinner and Lobster were great. We visited during Naples Restaurant Week and the value was amazing. We have already recommended to friends.
Wonderful restaurant! We had a window by the table since we had an early reservation. Went during Restaurant Week and had a great 3 course meal for $35. Wish we had time to go back again during their special. We do have reservations again for another occasion and look forward to a return visit.
We tried the restaurant week menu. I enjoyed the shrimp/octopus salad. My wife felt the soup was pedestrian. My steak was cooked well but not the best cut of NY strip that I have had. My wife scallops/bacon was undercooked. We expected better based on past experience there.
Usually I'll rate this Restaurant 5 stars, but now, I found that they jack up the prices so much, $15.00 for a glass of wine, and everything was $5.00 more than usual, and the food was good, but, instead of a little greens they give me only a dollop of cold mash potatoes and same for my companion's Sea bass, so last Saturday was not our best meal in there
We were extremely disappointed with the food. From the French Onion Soup to the Prime Rib and the New York Strip Steak - very bland, no seasonings. For the amount of money we spent we could have had better steak and prime rib at Outback. Our server was attentive and the waterfront view was nice but the food lacked any flavor. We will not be back.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants for special occasions. My wife and I decided to go for the beef wellington, which used to be good. We both ordered them, Medium. Hers came out right, mine was underdone/bloody (they were both ordered the same at the same time, not sure why different). Waited, and waited for a redo. of course, it came out well done (no pink at all). Waited, and waited. Third time, underdone, again. I asked the waitress for either a soup or salad as I had been waiting over an hour and my wife had finished. It never came. I told them to just put the 3rd one back in the oven for a couple of minutes instead of trying to make another one... so, basically, the 4th attempt was really a recook of the 3rd try. Though the manager did comp my meal, we were charged for the dessert and I didn't get the soup or salad that I had requested.
Additionally, the service started out bad and stayed that way. Initially, we asked for 2 iced teas, NO lemon, and repeated, NO lemon. What comes? 2 teas, WITH lemon. Can't pay attention to a simple order for a table of 2?
When she brought the bread, it was 3, small, hard, old, stale pieces... and she said... there wasn't any left, they are making more. Really? We waited that long for bread, and this is what we get?
Plus, the whole time I am expecting dust to drop from the A/C vents that have not been cleaned in at least 6-8 months, probably longer. See attached image. I did mention it to the manager. Maybe someone should look to see if they did anything about it.
The place appeared to be overbooked for Thanksgiving; I don't believe the restaurant took into consideration the fact that parties would be lingering at their tables, which they were.
Having to wait nearly 30 minutes past our reservation time was not a good way to start what should have been an enjoyable meal.
Just a great experience with friendly owners who care about service men and women and their customers in general. The service has been superior and prompt. The food is outstanding and you get what you pay for and the way you like it done. The lobster and filet dinner was perfect as was the seafood trio. The cocktails(martini and manhattan) and wine(house wines) are excellent and generous. There was ample room between tables and the view of the bay was relaxing. What more can you ask for!!!
For three years, my husband and I attended the free dinner for Veterans on November 11. The food and service is always excellent. The owner is so generous to do this for veterans. As a result, we have been going back their for dinner several times while we are in Naples for season. Once I told friends about T Michaels, they also have been frequenting the restaurant.
While quality of the food was excellent the service was less than satisfactory. Our main course arrived before our appetizers and they seemed surprised that we hadn’t been served them. We also had to ask for a dessert menu (still had room since we never had the appetizers). The waiter explained there was a number of new wait staff working that evening. Not sure that’s a great reason for the service issues.
From the appetizers to the desert the food was awesome. I ordered the Beef Wellington, which is hard to find on the menus of most restaurants, and even harder to find prepared with the special care it deserves. No problem at T Michaels, a superb dish indeed!
