T-Michaels Steak and Lobster Ratings and Reviews
For three years, my husband and I attended the free dinner for Veterans on November 11. The food and service is always excellent. The owner is so generous to do this for veterans. As a result, we have been going back their for dinner several times while we are in Naples for season. Once I told friends about T Michaels, they also have been frequenting the restaurant.
While quality of the food was excellent the service was less than satisfactory. Our main course arrived before our appetizers and they seemed surprised that we hadn’t been served them. We also had to ask for a dessert menu (still had room since we never had the appetizers). The waiter explained there was a number of new wait staff working that evening. Not sure that’s a great reason for the service issues.
From the appetizers to the desert the food was awesome. I ordered the Beef Wellington, which is hard to find on the menus of most restaurants, and even harder to find prepared with the special care it deserves. No problem at T Michaels, a superb dish indeed!
Very poor service. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and not experienced. One of our entrees, prime rib was very grizzly and removed from our bill. Appetizers were forgotten to be placed with kitchen so arrived close to entree’s. Very loud ambiance. Will not be back.
Wonderful dining experience, great ambiance and very friendly, attentative, dining staff. 3 of us ordered the Prime Rib special and it was excellent. The other person had a wonderful lobster tail. Looking forward to returning soon. The summer special menu is great
You will always remember being here b cuz atmosphere is beautiful & nautical & not overpowering, just really comfortable. Service was perfect, Kelly is a pro, all enjoyed her efficiency & wit! Lobster bisque had a major portion of lobster. We did leave a tad earlier than expected for a dining out evening...& that was due to the noise level. Will definitely return b cuz it's all around a great place & some things u can't control ....lovely evening.
The food was delectable, not fancy, but tasty. The bread was crusty and fresh. The sauces for the calamari were good, and the teeny tiny red peppers served with it were interesting. The duck was a little overcooked, but I should have told my preference to the waiter. The strip steaks were tender.
Our requested window table was virtually ready when we arrived. Bladomir, our server, was there when needed but not obtrusive. He was efficient and informative about drinks and specials. The drinks and meals were served in a timely manner and ordered from the Summer Menu, which is a good value. We will return.
Great view, and the seafood and steaks were great. Went for a business meal and we got a couple apps to split and then split some of the shareable sides with our meals. I'm gluten free (celiac) and the lobster bisque was ok to eat which is so uncommon! I had the vegetarian option (quinoa stuffed butternut squash) for my meal and it was VERY delicious! Great service, pretty pricey, but no more than Truluck's or any other nice seafood/steakhouse.
When I looked on line this prices seemed to be on the high side. At least in the summer, they have an additional menu with some very reasonable alternatives. I had very good prime rib for $21. It had a vegetable and potato included. My wife had broiled Branzino that she really enjoyed. They happened to be having a $7 Grey Goose weekend going on so, that was nice. I don't know how often they do that but, it worked for us.
It started poorly when we didn't get seated until 25 minutes after our reservation time. The young hostess and manager were trying, but the place was unusually busy for off-season and those two were trying to organize us many old timers, which is like trying to herd cats.
After seating us, the manager made a very nice gesture of delivering a complimentary crab appetizer, which my wife raved about. Our waiter, Joe, was very personable and attentive, even apologized several times for our wait. (He knew something was awry when he noticed our appetizer.)
The food was good and plentiful, so what started poorly, ended very well. With me, It's hard to recover from a bad start, but they did it. We enjoyed our evening at T-Michaels.
