T-Michaels Steak and Lobster Ratings and Reviews
The menu was small, but comprehensive. A nice offering was the stuffed squash. The service was abysmal. Time to take drink orders, and time to take the dinner orders, were all too long. Considered leaving, it was that bad. Bread was late to the table (but tasty). No Prime rib served rare available, but med-rare was good. A vegetable side dish arrived when the meal was almost finished (cauliflower pureè, it was delicious). Setting was nice, on the water, but will not return due to inattentive service.
Service was not good but the food was excellent. Unfortunately this waiter was very poor and ruined the evening
Waiter rushed us especially at the end
Waiter was not very professional
We had to ask for coffee and desert
At the beginning of the meal BEFORE we’ve Even ordered I specially told the waiter that I was to have the check very clear instructions as I did not want my guests to pay
Unfortunately the waiter ignored my request and gave the check to my guest and they paid the bill
When I expressed my displeasure the waiter shrugged off my comments and did not even apologize
I do not consider this professional service for a restaurant of this category
My wife and I went there with friends for New Year's Eve. Given the date, I am somewhat reluctant to throw stones but it was not the best experience I have had at T-Michael's. After cooling our heels in the bar for a drink, and notwithstanding our 7 o'clock reservation, we were told that there were four tables still in front of us and that the best they could do for immediate seating was a high-top in the bar. We opted for that but it was clear that the restaurant had tried to fit in too many patrons for the evening. The servers were overwhelmed and I suspect, based on the food, that the kitchen was too. One of my guests found his meal to be inedible (which, given my rave reviews, was embarrassing) and mine was mediocre at best. To be fair, my wife said her lobster tail was wonderful. I have always loved the food here (and appreciate all they do for veterans), but would be very reluctant to try them again on a holiday evening.
Excellent food and service on a very busy New Year's Eve. The noise level was a little higher than normal due to the festive occasion, but that's understandable. Great wines by the bottle or glass, and their Surf & Turf special is always great. Highly recommended.
We had a reservation for 7:30. When we arrived they sent us to the bar to wait for a table to clear. After watching others be seated ahead of us we had to settle for a bar table. Personally I don’t think we will go back. Shouldn’t take reservations if you can’t honor them.
Overall a good dinner. the ny strip and prime rib were excellent. the lobster bisque was cold which was a bit disappointing. The restaurant is VERY loud so we had to yell across the table. even our waiter had a hard time hearing our us and us him. The tables were very close together. my husband was pretty much elbow to elbow with the table next to him. the waiters has to deliver/hand the food from across the table because there wasn’t enough space to walk around our round table. think this restaurant is under new management so they are working out kinks. all in all we would go back, just not with my parents who are a bit older. it was a bit overwhelming to them with all the noise and packed crowd and tables.
The restaurant is crowded/busy as is, and on the weekends there is a live band inside the restaurant making for an unfittingly loud ambiance— (and this is coming from someone in her 20s). The service was good,. the seafood was fine, but the steak was excellent. Overall don’t need to go back again, but was an okay overall experience.
Great Food, had a slight problem with the table when we arrived and they gave us a wonderful Shrimp app to compensate. The seating is crowded and the atmosphere is very loud. It’s almost impossible to have a conversation. It limited ours. Would recommend on the off-season or fringe hours.
The food was amazing. Especially that lobster appetizer for $19 that was a 1 1/4 whole lobster. The lamb chops were amazing. Even the baked potato was perfect. Fresh light airy and so yummy. Can’t wait to go back. Now it is noisy and our table was 15 minutes late but so worth it!
Ran out of Prime Rib at 7:30 ?
Waiter came back after 15min of our order placement to tell us and did not do anything to compensate for it. The owner was advised as well and though surprised he did not seem to care either. Was expensive for nothing special. We were doing them a favor being there, not the other way around. Many other restaurants in the area to choose a better meal and more welcoming environment.
The view here is beautiful with views of Venetian Bay. Everything here is a la cartel and meals run $40 and up, so plan on paying a good amount of money. The sea bass was fantastic. The steaks were not that great and had to be sent back. We asked for medium well and got rare. Shen we received them back they were black. Not worth the price.
Reservation was for 5:45 pm and we sat at 6:15... What was the point of reservation? They put a lot of tables to fit the people and it became very uncomfortable for the people. The server has to go around 2 or 3 tables to reach the whole party. First time there and it wasn’t what I expected for the price per person.
I booked T Michaels for a special occasion 2 birthdays and Christmas Day away from England.
It was intensely busy and table wasn’t ready when arrived. However we were soon seated but not where I’d anticipated in my request for to be seated with a view.
I was a little disappointed as we were seated outside on high tables where it seemed had I known this is how it would have been, I wouldn’t have booked.
They never mentioned our celebrations, must not have read my request.
The meal, service was exceptional and we had a truly wonderful time, outside turned out to be the best and
This was Christmas Day and it was packed. It was noisy and every seat was taken with others waiting for tables. I will say they did honor our request to sit at a window table which did help. we had seen the menu and were debating on what to get. We were back and forth but kept coming back to their special turkey dinner. This would be our one opportunity to get turkey with the fixings whereas we could get any of the other dishes anytime. I did ask our waiter if the turkey was cut off a real turkey or a turkey roll. He didn't understand my question at all but said it was real turkey. He said there was both white and dark meat. My husband said he would like dark meat. I said both would be fine. They were both the same with a turkey roll that was a meld of both white and dark meat. I hate a preformed turkey roll. For $35 I would expect to get a carved turkey since it only came with a scoop of tasteless dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and a small dish of cranberry sauce. We did get lobster bisque to start which was excellent. The turkey plate was served immediately after we finished the lobster bisque. We opted not to get desert and were finished and out the door in less than one hour. I do understand that they are trying to serve the maximum amount of people on Christmas but to spend this much money in such a short time was a disappointment. I would go back again on a weekday early when it isn't crowded and we can see out the windows. Then we would not feel rushed to hurry up and get out. I will pay for a good meal but must have the time to enjoy it and not have the noise of a packed house.
The noise level was so high I could not even hear my wife who was sitting next to me. The restaurant was jammed with tables so close, othe patrons conversation overshadowed ours.
Before ordering we got up and left. A terrible experience, especially on Christmas Day. Shame on T Michaels for packing people in like cattle.
I would never recommend T Michaels to anyone.
