Enjoyable evening started out with friendly greetings by all personnel from valet to hostess and table service. Ambience is old world charm but not overly formal. While many resort dining destinations have become somewhat standardized in food and beverage offerings, T Cooks has maintained an independent feel with interesting menu offerings and preparations. There is something to be said for a resort property that delivers a unique customer experience in a relaxed and reserved environment that allows for simply having a pleasant dinner. Table spacing is ample and background noise is low so you can hear and enjoy conversation at your table. Tried one cold and one hot appetizer. Salad of tomato and burrata was refreshing and tasteful. Fried oysters were brimming with a fresh wisp of the ocean. For entrees both continued with seafood and halibut was bright and well prepared . Wine list was ample with surprisingly reasonable pricing considering the location. Staff acknowledged special occasion celebration and provided complimentary desert which went well with specialty coffees that ended the dinner. Looking forward to return visits with friends and family.

Upon arrival the host stand was backed up. At least four couples waiting to be seated. It seemed like the hostess had no idea how to manage the situation. The wait for our food to arrive was ridiculous. The waiter was very nice though. The short ribs were very dry and the Brussel sprouts were burnt. The pasta and chicken was just ok. The pasta was good but the chicken was dry. It seems like they forgot to bring out our food then heated it up in the microwave and that was why it was so dry. This was atypical for our past experiences at T Cook’s.

T Cook's has the advantage of being located within a premiere resort in Phoenix. There is a lot of good cooking in Phoenix, and T Cook's is definitely in the top tier. The menu is not extensive though it is sufficiently diverse to satisfy most high-level diners. Good meat dishes (beef, lamb), nice fish and great desserts. The bartenders are highly skilled so you can enjoy a wide variety of great cocktails. The wine list is impressive, but again diverse enough to allow many budgets to participate. T Cook's is not inexpensive, but you'll leave smiling nonetheless. We'll be back.

Our daughter was married at Royal Palms and we had the reception there in 4/2017. My wife and I were in Phoenix recently and decided to come back for a relaxing dinner. The food was terrific, as expected, and the ambience was outstanding. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere

My two friends and I chose T. Cook's for our monthly get-together lunch. It was a great choice. The ambiance, food (especially the Sea Bass Tacos which we all chose), and the service were perfect. We will be coming here quite often as it's an enjoyable experience.

Poor hostess service. Despite calling in advance to reserve outdoor table (and confirming on the phone day-of) the requested outdoor table was not reserved. We were married there and brought wedding party back for dinner & hostess could have cared less. Disappointing & could have been handled better - very rude.

Went here for Sunday brunch with friends and left deeply disappointed. The food was fine, not spectacular but also not bad. Just fine. The service however was abysmal! An establishment that charges $46 per person for brunch needs to do some basic things such as making sure all guests have utensils, filling water glasses, bringing a second mimosa when asked, making sure salt and pepper are on the table and getting the places correct for the runners bringing food from the kitchen. I ended up providing most of these services myself to our table as nobody else, especially our absent server, was doing any of it. I honestly got up four times and all I got was a smile from waitstaff in the dining room. It was so bad we all actually laughed about it. I will never be back and caution anyone else to choose another place over this one.

It makes sense to visit this restaurant because of the food. In my experience, it’s not only the food, ambiance or location, but more importantly- the people that makes T Cook’s special. Many reviewers use the word “service”, an act of assistance. In my opinion the word service conveys that I am in need of service? I realize I cannot serve myself, but making myself seem more important, than the ones there to increase our comfort is self serving. It’s your employees who make a business, a restaurant, a store more welcoming to those wishing to return. At T Cook’s, I chose to have dinner there because of the way those great employees make me feel, like I am welcomed, like I am a part of their family.

T Cook's is a destination resort which has an atmosphere of a European place. The wait staff was patient, never hovered, and let us enjoy a great Sangria and chat before ordering lunch. Previously the resort reset their goal on decor, food and the demographics that best suits this gem of a place. We enjoyed sharing a yummy beet and mango salad, a flavorful panini and outstanding piping hot lentil soup. The food value is good, the staff friendly nd cheerful, and friendly. Treat yourself to a most different kind of experience....right in the middle of Scottsdale/Phoenix.

Our waiter was absolutely THE WORST! He completely ignored us the entire tim, it took over an hour to get our food. He never checked on us throughout, not asking wither we needed another drink, never gave us any updates. Didn't listen to us, walked away mid sentence
Food was good, not great. Absolutely the worst dining experience ever due to the waiter only, especially for a restaurant this caliber! The waiter tried to apologize only after my husband called him out for if ignoring us for over an hour! Completely unprofessional! He sent another waiter to smooth the situation over, who was really nice and attentive to us, but it was a little too late! Your client is what brings you $$! Train your staff well!!!!

My husband and I have been going to T. Cook's for at least 15 years. We were there recently to celebrate his birthday. We planned a trip from Denver to specifically stay at The Royal Palms and eat at T.Cooks. So disappointed. In the past, service was exceptional. On this recent visit, it was awful. Cold, hurried (less than an hour for dinner), uninterested and neglectful in a nearly empty restaurant. The food was cold and adequate but not great. Sadly, a long time favorite, T. Cook's has lost its edge.

Got married at the Royal Palms 15 years ago. Thought T. Cooks for our 15th anniversary made sense. Did not disappoint us. Got there early, got an outside table in the courtyard area, very quiet, very intimate. Had a wonderful anniversary. Thanks, T. Cooks!

We absolutely used to loved T. Cooks for brunch. It always had an amazing spread with crepes, pancakes, omelette station, paella station... live music- delightful way to spend a Sunday.
We were super disappointed that all the fun stations were gone & the spread was less than a fourth of what they previously offered. For $49 a person this was really disappointing. Service was adequate- nothing special- we had to get forks and knives ourselves several times. The atmosphere is so beautiful here it’s really a shame the new ownership has changed things so significantly. It did not feel special in anyway and with having to select from a menu it was hard to time your meal. The menu selections arrived cold. We don’t feel compelled to return anytime soon frankly. Truly a shame as this was the place we have celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries, it’s where we got engaged. Always a crowd pleaser when friends come to visit from out of town. I hope you will read the review and consider that there are lots of choices to go for a beautiful brunch in Phoenix and this pretty atmosphere and very mediocre food, service does not justify the pricing.

We said outside at a corridor table and it was beautiful! Out table overlooked a grassy area lush with flowers and planting’s, gentle lighting and a trickling fountain. So serene. Our meal and service was outstanding. Eating outside and at Cooks is one of our must dos when visiting Scottsdale.

We always like to take our out of town friends to T Cook's for an upscale treat. The ambiance is cozy and well appointed. The service is always excellent. The food menu is varied and includes many dishes from pasta, fish, lamb, steak and venison, which is my personal favorite. Weekends can be busy so you should make a reservation. There is outdoor dining, but we never experienced it. The Royal Palms' grounds are immaculate and very quaint. T Cooks is well worth the experience.

T Cooks used to be where I went to feel like I had gone to Europe for an afternoon. Wonderful resort with well worn patina of character. Then they changed their demograohics, messed up their menu, and generally were confised. THEY ARE BACK'!!!!! Redecorated from ridiculous tall community table, brought back real food, good value and comfortable seating. We had wonderful Sangria with seemingly FDA required amount of fruit. Friendly staff. Waiter split our veggie salads, bean soup, and Rueben so we could taste a variety of dishes. The location is a gem. Sat next to window and viewed Camelback Mt.looming in the background. But after lunch , do walk around the gardens and public rooms to appreciate the nooks and crannies of architectural surprises and sounds of water. Lots of seating areas to have an afternoon chat in an exceptional grand resort. So happy you are back. Will bring more friends on our little European tour.

Last time we were in town renovations were being made so we did not know what to expect. I will say although the food was amazing I am not a fan of the new brunch concept and I really miss the old concept. Sea Bass is a must have! And the mimosas are always delicious. Great music and service but definitely left hungry for the price tag attached.

Food was just good enough to not be completely mediocre. Do NOT order the asparagus. They ruin it with some kind of ill-conceived tapenade. The size of the filet mignon at $54 was a poorly concealed ripoff. The decor in the restaurant is better suited for the early bird/blue plate special crowd than anybody not born in the late 1940’s. Too bad, because upon entry to the resort we had relatively high hopes. Very cool Versace-ish/South Beach courtyard. But the rest of it was pure 1970’s Miami Beach.

The food was so mediocre it is hardly worth mentioning. I had the fish tacos which were cold and tasteless. My husband had the beet salad and french fries. The fries reminded us of potato chips. The salmon on his beet salad was done well but the salad was just okay. My girlfriend had the beet salad also and made no comment. Her husband had the short rib tacos. I watched as he tried ketchup on them to try to give them some flavor. I had suggested the Royal Palms as I thought they would enjoy the ambiance which they did. I guess we came for the ambiance and that is what we got. A student in culinary school could have prepared a better meal. How do they stay open?
