Paul was a fantastic waiter and individual. He really helped make the evening special. Food was incredible.
The best. Our favorite terrific six stars. Outside a must
Wonderful restaurant. Delicious food. Great wine selection. Service excellent. Love T. Cook's!
Spectacular experience. We were staying at the Royal Palms but would come back just to eat at T Cooks. The atmosphere was so warm and old world. Service was stellar. Definitely will be back.
Some of our dining selections were good , others were very so-so, ho-hum . The charcuterie board was poor , cheese was stale, not all items listed on menu were on the board
All was great except the server. He was polite but inattentive in placing our order, checking on us, and getting the check. Each time I had to flag a bus person or another server to find him. It was 30 minutes after sitting down before he took our order. He stated the first time that he didn’t want to interrupt our conversation. I asked him to please feel free to interrupt. The restaurant was not that busy. He seemed to be a seasoned server. I’m not sure why he was absent from the dining room so frequently.
Disappointing as compared to two years ago. Had the octopus appetizer and it was a fraction of the portion since last time we had it. Also not nearly as nice of presentation.
Royal Palms is really great place to celebrate any special ocation or just for Happy hour, we had a great birthday celebration this time...
T Cook’s staff is amazing! The ambiance is perfect, great wine list, and cuisine is beyond delicious!
We sat outside and I feel like we were forgotten. Saw two other couples inside seated after us and both received their meals and drinks prior to us. We were seated at 6:00pm and our order was not taken until 6:38pm.
Very nice hidden gem of a restaurant. We had a party of six and the wait staff were very attentive. The food was excellent. One person commented that her Paella was better than what she had just had in Spain.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Being the only ones under the age of 50 in the restaurant we were ignored by our server. It was very disappointing services for the price we paid. To top it off the hostess forgot to add the birthday to the reservation. Instead of apologizing when addressed with the issue she just stared at me. She was extremely rude and her reaction embarrassed me in front of my boyfriend. She was so unprofessional. It was a terrible experience.
Fair to partly Cloudy. For whatever reason, the food quality seems to teeter back and forth on "okay" to very good. Not consistent. We ordered the charcuterie / cheese starter and it was not varied as described, one small slice of prosciutto and lots of salami. The rest of dinner was good to okay.
Diners should be warned, it seems that T. Cooks attracts drunken, loud people who yell at each other. Forget about having a nice conversation with your dinner partners. Management is immune to asking the drunk diners to tone it down a bit. Value wise, you can do better.
Did not enjoy the food at all.
Great food, great service, and great ambience. Definitely would go again. 8 person business meal.
We LOVED our anniversary dinner at T Cooks!!!!! This place has always been a favorite of mine especially for special occasions.
We were greeted warmly and escorted to a very lovely decorated table for two. Our service from Sasha was impeccable as well. Thank you very much! We shall definitely return!
My visit last evening at T Cook’s unfortunately confirms recent food critics evaluations. It is good but not great. The squash soup and desserts were excellent to give appropriate credit. However, the main entree was served luke warm and the potatoes/vegetables the same. When brought to the servers attention, he took back the plate and basically the only thing warmed was the plate. The server said he was sorry and didn’t fully correct the problem. If the restaurant is going to compete with the many restaurants in the same price category, the experience has to be much better overall.
Service was great! They treated us so well! Food was amazing.
One Enchanted Evening. I organized a birthday dinner for my wife and family and we had a perfect evening, full of good memories. Food was delicious, service was wonderful (thank you Paul), table setting was special, it was everything you would want for a special birthday. Absolutely solid.
Beautiful restaurant. Perfect for date night or other special occasion. Service was impeccable. The beef short rib, the brussels sprouts, potato croquettes, and vegetarian squash entree were terrific. Also enjoyed hanging out in the bar afterward listening to live music. An all-around great experience.
New Year’s Eve dinner and fireworks. Super fun!
We had a 6:30 reservation for 3 on New Year's Eve. The restaurant was less than half full when we arrived but we had been assigned the table right as you walk in the restaurant. Very high traffic with every arriving group and table service. It was cold as guests arrived and the door was constantly opened. It was very bad ambience for a bill close to $500 for 3 of us with one cocktail each and a tip. Somebody had to be stuck with this dissapointing experience and this New Year's Eve it was us. Paul, the Manager, apologized and the chef provided a special course for our meal. Thanks Paul. The thought was appreciated.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful restaurant. Definitely for a birthday, anniversary, or such special occasion.
T. Cook’s is consistently outstanding in every category and a great value for the excellent food choices.
Elegant and fine dining. The experience from parking to table service to checkout they are constantly making you and your guests feel welcome.
Service and waiter Paul were attentive, and gracious. Ambience was lovely Food was...well not that delicious.
ORIGINALLY MADE RESERVATIONS FOR PATIO. DUE TO WEATHER THEY OPEN CONFERENCE ROOM AND THREW IN TABLES. THAT SUCKED. THEN THE MENU WAS LIMITED AND MASS PRODUCED. WHEN 1ST COURSE ARRIVED, SERVER GAVE WRONG ORDER TO EACH OF MY PARTY OF 4, AND WAS CORRECTED. THAT INCOMPETENCE PROCEEDED WITH EACH COURSE. MAIN ENTRE' ARRIVED AND WAS COLD, AND THE QUALITY WAS EQUAL TO MASSED PRODUCED, FOR WHICH IS WAS. BECAUSE OF SET UP IN CONFERENCE ROOM THE TABLES WERE STACKED CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AND ADJOINING TABLE CONSISTED OF NOISE CHILDREN AND LOUD COMPLAINING ADULTS. AFTER THAT NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE THE $460.00 DOLLAR BILL IARRIVED. DEBATING EVEN LEAVING A TIP, I CONSIDERED IT WAS CHRISTMAS AND LEFT $55.00. WHICH IN TRUTH WAS WAY OVER COMPENSATED. I WILL NO LONGER BELIEVE POSTED RATINGS AND WILL STICK TO SMALL INDIVIDUALLY OWNED BISTROS .
They accommodated our request to be reseated. Our server Dan went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional.
Very special Christmas Day lunch. Although we were away from home, the ambience was warm and cheerful.
Holiday buffett was over priced
Not worth $100 a person
The bar area was beautifully, tastefully decorated exuding warmth. Prices are fair for level of meal you receive in main dining room on prix fixe meal for Xmas eve dinner, however some items are not. The service is a 10+ as is the staff at the front who greets& seats you. Sue from that group is tops! Well-selected wine choices. This was a very special Xmas eve with an old friend who has had an especially challenging year? Close to perfect!
Since it was bought by a large chain it's really lost it's uniqueness. XMAS eve service was so easy..price fix menu & reservations. Our server & buser were lazy. water glasses left, dishes not cleared, server was a "jovial" guy who just wasn't funny, forgot requested straws, mean lacked imaginaton, the basic chicken was way too salty, pre dinner drinks in bar we just ok, no festive music...For $450 I expected the old TCOOKS with the "Director of Romance" and a dining room full of warmth & deliciousness, What we got was drugstore lipsitick on a Hyatt pic. Sorry just my opinion.
I was very much looking forward to a Christmas Eve dinner with my family at T. Cook's. We arrived early and the restaurant was about half full. Instead of being seated in the main dinning room, we were seated in the bar area - on the plus side, we were in front of a very nice fireplace; on the minus side, our table was directly in front of the rest rooms. We asked to be moved and were told that the manager had already selected all of the tables for the night and so they could not move us. Not a great way to start off our visit - essentially being told that the manager had insisted that we sit by the restrooms. [BTW - the atmosphere in the main dinner rooms looked fabulous when we peaked around the corner; beautifully decorated for the holidays.]
We intended to make the best of it and order some very nice cocktails, and wine, and placed our orders for dinner. The cocktails and wine were very good - they had a nice list of "last chance" wines that were a surprisingly good value for restaurant wines. The entrees arrived and they were good but not great. We selected T. Cook's over many other options based on strong recommendations. We were disappointed. Maybe it was just the big crowd for Christmas Eve, but we were expecting superb and only received average.
We might give the restaurant another try on a less busy night, but for us on our first visit, it was decidedly less than we had expected.
Excellent!! Waiter was funny and helpful. Food was amazing. Setting is beautiful. All around enjoyable evening!!
Only complaint was pumpkin gnocchi was cold and dry as if it was sitting there awhile.
Outstanding food and service.
Pretty setting but no table covers. Pricey entrees but nice sides on plates. Paella was so-so. Salmon & chicken superb. Dessert menu a bit too alternative.
Also surprised to see ball caps at a fine resort venue.
This is my third time dining at t. Cooks. My family frequents there even more. I was very excited to bring my significant other there for the holidays. Overall, the ambience was great, as always. The service was to be expected given the type of restaurant. We both had a starter (lobster bisque and pear salad), filet and salmon for dinner, and then the banana cake for desert. It was a good, nice dinner.
Unfortunately, that evening both my partner and I became extremely ILL. If you have seen the movie Bridesmaids, the scene in the bridal store, was our evening which proceeded into the following day. The only meal or food we had together that day was at the Royal Palms. I called the following day to follow up on our experience. I received a call back, and got a generic, ‘sorry for that we will let the back of the house know’, and that they would take care of an appetizer when I come back. I have no interest in coming back. I was very surprised by the response of my experience and there was no empathy given my way. I will not be coming back and will be letting everyone I know I got sick from this restaurant.
Fot a holiday season weekend, not enough waitstaff so the wait was awful
