It was such a great experience! Worth the cost, great customer service, they went above and beyond for your anniversary.
VERY NICE SETTING,EXCELLENT FOOD AND TERRIFIC SERVICE
My wife and I had a great time
Wonderful food, good service and lovely atmosphere, can’t wait to do it again!
The service was excellent as always. Very attentive and charming server. We’ve been coming to T Cooks for years and sadly this meal wasn’t up to the standards we have come to expect. The shrimp appetizer was bland & needed salt, the branzino was also a bit dry & the associated forbidden rice tasteless. It used to be a restaurant we would relish for special occasions but the quality of the food has gone downhill. It’s still good food but not “special” the way it used to be. Certainly not worth the higher prices. Will have a hard time coming back especially with so many excellent restaurants in the area.
Went for AZ rest. Week. Menu was ridiculously awesome. We had the mussels and tomatoes for an app. The scallop entree was was amazing. The beef was killer too but the surf was over the the turf!! Any dessert will be amazing. Our server was great, Amy the rest super stopped by to make sure all was fab. She’s great as well. Sat outside. Couldn’t have had a better meal. Do this place. Don’t hesitate. That’s how I and we feel. Enjoy!!
This venue is phenomenal for luxurious, romantic, elevated dining experience, from the walls that seem as though they can talk, to the manicured grounds, the playful lighting that offers enough to keep you aware of the beauty but allows the stars and shadows to draw your eyes toward each beautiful vignette. Although there was a shortcoming with one entree the staff did all they could to recover and ultimately our experience was about the setting, service and the majority of our meal.
We had been looking forward to an amazing experience, but unfortunately it was not. The server was not personal at all and not very attentive. The noice level was horrible - there was a a table three tables over with four people who were talking so load that we could not even keep a conversation going. So, what was supposed to be an unforgettable experience in a good way, took on a totally different feeling. Even though the manager was walking around, she did nothing to correct the situation - very poorly run. It was expensive and we will not choose T.Cooks for any other occasions in the future. Royal Palms is such a beautiful setting so it is really a shame that the restaurant did not meet our expectations.
Incredible dinner for our Anniversary and the special dessert from Pastry/Dessert Chef Hollie Layman-Sanders was off the chart!! She is the best !!
Amazing food! We really enjoyed eating outside in the patio area, less noise and more relaxed. A great place for any special occasion to try new, delicious food with a good atmosphere.
This particular visit started out perfectly with a quiet environment, but then a very energetic group showed up and were extremely noisy. That's not the first time I've experienced loud groups, since it is part of a vacation and wedding resort, but this was definitely well beyond what I'd have expected. It's not necessarily the restaurant's fault, just bad luck. It's ordinarily a very enjoyable experience and a great place to hold a quiet business breakfast or bring my wife for a special occasion.
The new chef is wonderful ! The chilled cantaloupe soup was the best ever ! The preparation of the branzino was perfect ! Our server was friendly and professional ! Very pleased with everything !
My birthday and tried because of restaurant week
Valets told us there is a new chef and they're not using his menu yet. Well it has to be better than this.
No flavor in any of the dishes - appetizers or main course. And then over flavored desserts. Each thing we took a forkful of, we thought, oh maybe this is where a little spice might be used. And then again no. All of the ingredients were high quality - good fish, good steak, beautiful black rice, but not one bit of garlic or cilantro or well, anything. My mother is British and used to brag she used nothing beyond salt and pepper in her house. If you liked my mother's cooking, you will love dinner at T Cooke's.
T Cooks is always good. The patio is a pretty spot fo outdoor dining. Service is attentive without being pretentious.
Excellent service from Tony.
Cantaloupe soup was a great, tasty surprise. scallops delicious. Great wine list, a bit pricey.
Casual elegance, we’ll be back.
AZ restaurant week...superb food and environment but waiter harried and not at top of his game
The resort is beautiful, the service was fine, but the food was not great.
Beautiful grounds and landscaping. On entering T Cook’s no one there to great you or show you to your table. Had to walk around several minutes to find anyone. This on my wife’s 75th birthday.
After being shown to a table, had to wait minutes and more minutes until I had to get up from the table to find someone to wait on us.
The food absolutely wonderful, the highlight on our birthday visit. Once we had a waitress she was most efficient and courteous.
I would again recommend the resort for its wonderful setting however, tell friends that the service was wanting for such a renowned resort.
The service is one the best features. The food was tastefull and full of flavors. The manager Javier was so knowledgeable about the history of the resort. The entrance is breathtaking. Will recommend!
All was perfect except there was an error on the check...kind of embarrassing to address with the server in front of my guest.
One word sums it up - delicious
Excellent restaurant with fabulous food.
Food was excellent, service was attentive without being intrusive
Great flavors and presentation. Server was very attentive to our needs and selected wine pairings for us that were perfect for us.
My partner had never been to T Cookes for dinner. Initially he worried that he was under dressed, but was fine once we were in the dining room. The food was exquisite, as were the drinks. Loved the Mosco mule! This is going to be a special place for us to come to celebrate in the future. Just a perfect night all the way around.
Amy was a wonderful addition to our lunch. Meeting her and being helped by her was a benefit and most
enjoyable. Tyler, from the bar, was a friendly help too! I have met him before and was very happy to see him again. The room today was quiet and delightful, sitting in front of the back windows with a lovely view.
The salads we shared were great and the coffee Tyler made for us with a double shot were strong and delicious, just the way I love them.
Your staff at the Royal Palms has always been so friendly...being met by Linda was a delight. I love the history of the hotel and the ambiance here is hard to beat!
Thanks to all! elizabeth and angelo, celebrating our birthdays!
Nice, but not knockout nice... not as nice as in the distant past. It used to be one of the best in town, but over the last several years, it's lost some of its luster while others have risen. We went this time on a Groupon coupon, which made it a very good value.
So disappointing! Not our first dining experience at T Cook's, but definitely not a good one. Two couples and we both had a Travelzoo voucher for our meal with wine parings. Wine was very nice. Appetizers were weak but edible. Main course was really bad. The Wagyu strip loin was anything but tender. One of our friends found a hair on his plate. The fish was ok, although my husband didn't like it. Dessert was probably the strongest course.
If restaurants are going to offer specials in the slowest part of the year to reach customers that might not visit the restaurant, the food should be outstanding to make people want to return! There are now 4 people that won't be returning! What a waste.
This place is absolutely fabulous. My husband and I went there for my 59th birthday. I had the sea bass and my husband had the filet. It seriously just melted in your mouth. T Cook's I have to say was the best meal we ever had. At the end of our dinner they brought me a piece of strawberry tart with a candle and a Happy Birthday written in chocolate across the plate. It truly put a smile on my face and a perfect ending to my birthday celebration.
Nice. A bit overpriced for the dinner.
After dropping off our son at college in AZ we decided to extend our time in Phoenix to celebrate our 32nd anniversary - booked this venue because of the menu items and great reviews. We arrived early so had a cocktail at Mix Up next door and the most DELICIOUS Grapefruit Classic Daiquiri. Then we moved next door for dinner and WOW. So many tasty tidbits, and lots of gluten-free options. We ate appetizers earlier at Mix Up, so we ordered the Pao De Quiejo Brazilian Cheese Bread which was so amazing, then had the Kale Caesar Salad followed by the Colorado Rack of Lamb. We had ordered the Shishito Peppers but they forgot to bring it and we almost forgot about it (but they didn't) and we ended up taking it back to our hotel instead (and they ended up comping it too). Then they surprised us with a special g-free chocolate dessert! The SERVICE was beyond belief...split our selections without having to ask, water always filled, staff and management stopped by throughout the meal to thank us for coming and to congratulate us. Literally a PERFECT evening and we look forward to returning each year to celebrate here! MAHALO from Maui!
Everything was perfect from the service the food the ability to communicate without the usual noise and this is our second year back for a special occasion we will be back in 2020
We used the Travelzoo voucher that we had purchased for $99 which have us both 3 courses, plus wine pairing with every course. They poured very generous pours, the food was great and they even gave us a complimentary chocolate dessert plate as it was our anniversary. Such a nice place to go to celebrate
The food and wines were excellent. The waiter made the evening extra enjoyable.
When my granddaughter and I arrived at 5:30, we asked for a quiet spot and we were directed to a corner table which was perfect. Our waiter was Paul and he was the best ever...my granddaughter asked questions and he was very responsive....We both ordered salmon and when it arrived, she noticed the red sauce on top.....we motioned for Paul and my granddaughter inquired about the sauce and it turned out she was allergic to it...he promptly took care of the matter and returned with a plain salmon.
We had a celebration and he provided a very nice presentation of desserts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will return.....thank you, Paul...
The location is beautiful and the food was delicious! I have celiac so I can’t eat gluten and everything I ordered was perfect! I have a gluten tester and all of our dishes tested safe!
We went for my birthday and had a great experience. We dined with our toddler, and they did have a kid's menu for him, which I wasn't expecting. We will definitely be back.
Our tasting meal was fantastic and we included the wine pairings. My husband and I each selected something different with each course, then shared so we could each enjoy even more of the food tastings. Tony, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome to T. Cook's. The ambiance was lively, but not too noisy, with the crowd definitely enjoying their evening. We highly recommend this experience and will definitely be back to T. Cook's again!
