Great food and amazing service! Food prices are reasonable and people are true professionals!
Great! Moscow mule amazing !
We went for our 7th anniversary and had a great experience, food was delicious and the service superb. I’d recommend this to anyone as a place for a romantic dinner or even just a standard night out.
Dear Anonymous, Thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent dinner at T.Cook's. I am thrilled to hear you had a memorable experience! I hop you'll return again soon!
Food and service were excellent. The desserts were outstanding. Although the price is high the overall quality makes it worth the money, especially for special occasions.
The food was deliciously decadent. Great service! This is a great place for a special occasion. We were even able to take advantage of the live Friday night music in the bar!
I have enjoyed meals at T-Cook's for over twenty years now. This was the first time that I thought the food was not up to par. The octopus appetizer was not as tasty (as every time I had it before) and there was only one tentacle (typically, in my experience, at least three). Also, the mushroom side was cold by the time I ate it and only lukewarm when first delivered. The restaurant was not busy - so, it is hard to understand why the meal had less focus than usual. I love the setting and that is the primary reason I choose T-Cooks for anniversaries and other special occasions.

One of my favorite restaurants. Food is always great. Ambiance and service is the best.
Not as special as we expected. Fatty lamb chops. No excuse for that.
We stayed at the resort for a girl’s weekend to celebrate a baby shower and a birthday, and made reservations for T. Cook’s. We were sat at an awkward banquet table outside with white folding chairs. The food was ok (my salmon was over cooked and one of my pregnant friends was served very rare steak when she ordered medium- I will say that was promptly fixed) and the server was ok, but I really felt like they did not like that we ordered off of the restaurant week menu. We did order two appetizers and two bottles of wine as well, our bill totaling over $500 for the five of us- it just left me wondering if that’s what The attitude is- then why offer a restaurant week menu at all?
I have been to T. Cook's perhaps a dozen times over the years and it used to be one of my favorites in the valley. The food is very good, no doubt. I also really enjoy the general ambiance. However, they were incredibly understaffed, which led to very slow service, and very grumpy waiters. It was clear that the wait staff was unhappy and that had a substantial negative affect on our $600+ experience. I was celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary with another couple who were celebrating their 22nd. The discussion the group had after dinner was that the food was good, but next time we'll dine at Sanctuary, or something like that. Too bad.

Exquisite except for the service
It was Arizona restaurant week and it was very disappointing
The food was very good in an atmosphere very conducive to a speciyevent
We truly enjoyed all of our selections from the Restaurant Week menu. The food was delicious. The service perfect.
The weather was beautiful and the patio was lush and green. Food was great, service excellent. My best restaurant week choice, ever.
Amazing as always...absolutely best restaurant in Phoenix without a doubt!
Great service, great food. We also appreciated it was quiet enough that we could actually visit without raising our voices. We’ve been there a couple times in the past and will certainly be back.
Paul our waiter was fabulous. Food was superb. We’ll be back!
Dear CarolP, Thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent experience at T.Cook's! I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed dining with us! We can't wait for you to return!
The scallops were amazing! For entree I had the steak and my partner had eggplant lasagne. It was delicious!! Perfectly cooked and well paired flavor combinations. Dessert was a perfectly sweet ending. The passion fruit creme brûlée was a great texture and consistence. The flavor was light and tasty! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I would definitely recommend!
Dear MeganS, Thank you for sharing your recent experience at T.Cook's. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed dining with us as well as our new menu items. The Passion Fruit Creme Brulee is also one of my favorites! We look forward to you joining us again soon!
The food was good, but they seemed to be very short staffed and if the cost is going to be as high as it was the food and service should be 10/10 an unfortunately it was not.
Dear Admp81, Thank you for taking time to share your valuable feedback. I are pleased you enjoyed your food. I will share your experience with the rest of the team and use it as an opportunity for continued improvement. Please let me know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
One of my favorite spots! Never disappoints.
Arizona Restaurant Week visit with family that were in town. Everyone loved the food, drink and ambiance sitting on the patio on an unusually cool (for May 18th) day.
The overall experience is wonderful here. The grilled octopus was delicious as was the Sea Bass, lobster risotto and sauteed mushrooms. Anthony (our server) made the evening very enjoyable as did the mellow stylings of the artist performing at Mix Up. My only criticism was the lower quality of the Waygu Strip I ordered. The cut was not tender nor particularly flavorful. This is certainly not indicative of our usual experience at T. Cooks. We will definitely return as it is a favorite of ours, but next time I will go with my gut if anything does not live up to the usual expectation - and inform our team. I am certain this steak was a one off.
Loved it best ever!!
Wonderful! Beautiful property. Great meal and service
Our party of four had a marvelous experience at T. Cook's. The restaurant is located among intimate boutique Spanish - southwestern designed buildings with beautiful desert and Mediterranean landscaping...worth the visit by itself. The waitstaff was attentive, pleasant and welcoming. The food was tops...we attended during Arizona Restaurant week which was a great value. Food prepared to perfection...from the finally prepared scallop appetizer to the grilled butter main course steak and finally the unbelievable four chocolate dessert plate. A totally wonderful experience...food, presentation, atmosphere, and attentive waitstaff..all combined to be a perfect memorable evening out. An experience not to be missed.
We had dinner at T. Cook's as it was participating inn AZ Restaurant Week., allowing each of us to get a 3 course meal for $44. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with dinner. The wine list is extensive with lots of different price options. We also added the grilled octopus appetizer to our order and it was wonderful! I had the salad for my appetizer and my companion had the scallop; both were very well prepared. I had the eggplant lasagna for my entree and my partner had the salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection, slightly rare and the eggplant had a very good red sauce to accompany it. For Dessert my companion had the tartufo, nice and chocolaty. I had the passion fruit creme brulee. More of a mousse with a bruleed top, it was one of the best desserts I have ever had!! Light texture with lots of passion fruit flavor. We will definitely e coming back for dinner!
Back patio is great. Love the outdoor seating. Food good but could be better especially for a hotel of this caliber.
Royal Palms setting is the best. Food good but could be better. Service could be improved upon.
We had Mothers Day dinner at T. Cook's. The servers were very accomidating and the setting was beautiful. Sadly, the food was just ok. Two scallops were served as an appetizer for $14.00 which I felt was overpriced. The entree I ordered was featured on the website but when served was 1/2 the portion in the photo. The server started by telling us all of the items from the menu they did not have (most of the menu). We left hungry with $200.00 out of pocket! I would not be inclined to return for dinner.
The four of us had a very nice dinner on the patio. The tomato salad with burrata cheese was great, as were the steaks and rack of lamb. Good cocktails and wine too.
The food was good but many things on the menu were not available. It was obvious that our waiter did not enjoy his job. His interactions with us set the tone to an evening that was just ok. Hard to have an ok evening when the meal is so expensive.
The back patio was great especially with the weather. The service was slow and because it was a brunch we constantly had plates that needed to be picked up. I would prefer proactive service. The servers were not that busy they seemed distracted and not focused on catering to the customers.
I love the garden quaintness & music atmosphere for the Sunday brunch. The buffet is great but the entree’s could use improvement. The Mother’s Day price was $85 on their website but $95 at the restaurant.
The food was outstanding and our server, Dan was great - very attentive. Apparently, there were two different buffet options; however, we were not given a choice. The option selected for us was a partial buffet with one entree. This was a great option for our party but there were two tables around us that were not happy with this option. We selected the outdoor seating preference and loved the ambiance but lots of walk-by and walk through traffic due to close quarters segregating the two buffet option areas. We could not hear or enjoy the live music in the outdoor seating area.
I made a reservation for Mother's Day on OpenTable. I knew from experience that Royal Palms offers a Mother's Day brunch buffet, so, after making the reservation, I called the restaurant three different times to try to ensure we were set up with the special brunch event. I was never able to reach anyone, and finally left a voicemail at the restaurant's direct line confirming my request and requesting a call back. No call back. On the day of our reservation, we showed up, with our one-year-old daughter, only to find out that we were NOT signed up for the Mother's Day brunch buffet. We ordered in the main dining area and our food took over an hour to arrive; meanwhile, we had nearly maximized the time our daughter could stay still in the restaurant. I asked our waiter several times for the status, and only the last time did he actually come back to tell me "they were really busy" - which is unacceptable when we showed up on time for our reservation (setting aside the screw-up for not getting us into the brunch buffet). Our food finally arrived, and it was good, but we had no time to enjoy it. The waiter comp'd our meal, which was a good gesture, but all I wanted was a nice Mother's Day brunch with my family. Very disappointed.
Great food Great Music in the bar and great service
We have been to T Cook's dozens of times over the years. It is and always has been a wonderfully beautiful venue with very good food and excellent service. This visit was marred by painfully slow service. Our food came out cold to Luke warm at best. Nothing worse than cold Branzino. Want water? We repeatedly had to ask for it. So disappointing for a Phoenix mainstay. I hope that this is a one off, we will try it again, of course. However if it happens again there are too many other good places to eat in the Valley.
Recommendation to T Cook's, try to get back to the service that made you special.
As another reviewer mentioned there were several flies swarming our meal the entire time. Better bug control needed. Wasn’t crazy about the flavor or texture of the Wagyu striploin but the scallops were good as well as the sea bass and lobster risotto. For the price I would have expected slightly better.
The setting is lovely and the food was quite good. But our waiter was snarky and the service was poor. Ruined a celebratory evening.
