Great food, pleasant staff. Surprised us with flower petals and dessert for our anniversary
Great place! Beautiful grinds and setting. Wonderful food and service. Is there anything more that matters?
Wonderful restaurant with great service. I took my fiance here for our engagement night dinner and without asking we had rose pedals put on our table and treated very nicely, to include a special congratulations dessert. Highly recommend.
We had a fabulous birthday lunch here out on the patio. Everything was wonderful-the food, the service and the ambiance. I would highly recommend it
Always a great place and the drinks are amazing!!!!
Thank you, everything was perfect!!!!!
Great food, Great service and GREAT EVERYTHING!!!!
Wonderful Sunday brunch! The buffet choices were not excessive which allowed room for the wonderful entree choices. The sea bass was excellent.
The food was very tasty and the atmosphere is quiet and inviting, but the waiter was terrible. Not terrible in that we didn't get our food on time or drinks refilled, but terrible in that it was painful for him to smile or to utter a friendly word. The waiter usually sets the mood for the evening, but he mumbled and kept a straight face through every conversation he had with the table. It must have been a bad night to put him in such a foul mood. I would return for the food, but if I saw the same waiter, I'd request to be reseated.
Great spot with an awesome setting
Another excellent meal.
Food was wonderful and I appreciate the quiet atmosphere so we could easily talk with our guests. Marc, our server, was excellent. He gave us the time to relax and enjoy our meal, wine and company.
Enjoyed our dinner at T Cooks. Our waiter, Paul, was outstanding and we appreciated his good service. There was a noisy group at an adjacent table and he kindly moved us to a more quiet space so we could have conversation. The food was delicious, as always.
We came at end of lunchtime and the place was more than half empty. The hostess led us to a table next to table for 6 -- 2 grownups and 4 pre-teen kids and tons of jackets and knapsacks on the floor. So we asked if we could sit at the next table over, which was ready and unreserved (there were lots of possible tables). The hostess said, oh, no, they've gotten their check and are leaving shortly. So we reluctantly took that table. Instead of leaving, this family were waiting for a room and ordered another round of drinks. In the end, they left only a few minutes before we finished our meal and left. When I mentioned this to the hostess, instead of nicely saying, "I'm sorry," she explained to me that she was following the the information from the server, who said he had given a check to the party. I think this server needs work about how to handle customers. Our server was himself pleasant and the avocado toast was tasty.
Lovely atmosphere but food is overpriced.
The waiter had great awareness and intuition for service!!!
Would have given 5s except our service was so so...not what we expected.….was hoping to order a white wine with our salads but our server did not deliver them and by the time he showed up with the wine, which we had to order from the hostess..our salads were almost consumed...though truly wonderful were not to be enjoyed by a glass of wine...soups showed up while still eating our salads and when returned were warm at best...main course was excellent....kudos to the chef..not so much on the service...will try a brunch next time
Four of us went for dinner on New Year’s Eve. It was raining heavily, & when we arrived we found out we were to be seated on the Terrace. We were seated in a corner that was dark, cold & damp, & we couldn’t see any of the holiday decorations. Evidently there weren’t any other tables available, so we decided to stick it out. Then the canopy overhead sprang leaks & we were getting wet. The manager, server, Jeff, & hostess just couldn’t have been more gracious & accommodating! We were so impressed with their professionalism & pleasant attitude. We were moved inside & had a WONDERFUL evening! Joy was our next server. She was so pleasant & efficient. Kudos to T. Cook’s. It’s been a favorite of ours for many years & that continues!
My husband and I truly enjoyed everything about our experience. The Food, the service and ambience was top shelf. We'd love dine there again. A+
We enjoyed T Cook’s with friends for an early New Years celebration. Our waiter was a dear but we left concerned about the service. He voluntarily comped us our drinks as we waited a significant time for our meals. The food was good with the exception of the pesto on the pasta. The pesto served with the bread was actually better in flavor, color and presentation than the pasta dish. Other than that the sea bass and the salmon was fabulous! We loved the atmosphere in the dining room but wondered about the Mixup Lounge. It seems that the Lounge has been renovated but the lights need to be dimmed to set the mood for a festive holiday night. With the only fireplace in the library - we feel that perhaps they missed the mark for creating a cozy place to enjoy cocktails. We love the resort and trust that you will continue to create the nostalgia that has always been there. Please don’t remove the magic!
We have always enjoyed T Cooks.
Attentive service, beautifully plated food and a special birthday dessert made for a wonderful celebration. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the outdoor areas and bar prior to dining.
A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Everything about the brunch was outstanding including our waiter. It’s a definite try!!
Only possible answer was YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beginning and ending with the valet, service was exceptional! The ambiance was just what I wanted for our special night out. We will definitely be back as well as spreading the word about this gem!
Joy, our waiter, was a “pure joy”. She helped to make my 60th birthday an extra special celebration. Our food was delicious and the ambiance in the bar and restaurant was so comfortable. We will definitely return soon!!
Had the best server assistant Bernie.
Our service otherwise was just okay.
The food was good but the salmon was undercooked twice that we gave up on trying and my husband didn’t end up eating dinner except for some of mine.
The chicken was great and the beet salad was great.
After our experience, I cannot think of one reason why anyone would want to dine at T. Cooks. I hesitate to conclude this but really, the food was so poor, quality and presentation, and I am saddened to see what has happened to this once-decent restaurant. T. Cooks has struggled to establish what they wanted to be but at this point, they have drifted to absorb a form of Denny's and a fast food chain. Service had so many amatuer mistakes. Why go?
I have been to T. Cook’s before and loved it and was well taken care of. This past time was terrible. My friends and I do a annual Secret Santa brunch and we wanted to go back to Royal Palms. Well I made a reservation and when three out of the five of us were there they made us wait at least 15 minutes before seating us. The hostesses kept saying “we have to get your table ready”. Well we finally sat down and we were the only ones outside. Then our server was very friendly and kind but he was SO slow. We had to keep asking for refills on our water and the turn around time to get anything was beyond slow. Our reservation was at 11:15- we didn’t leave until 2! Also we found a hair in our hummus and should’ve said something to the manager but all of us were starving and ate the vegetables instead. Very upsetting for such a high class resort to have such terrible service for their guests. :(
Great place with 'lots of charm. Excellent and friendly server. Surprised I had to move my bread plate to make room for the filet that was delivered by a young man in a hurry.
We went expecting the anticipated buffet to be part of the main dining room along with the set lunch. As this was our first time for the event at the restaurant, we were not aware until our departure that the buffet was in a tent elsewhere on the property. While certain dishes of the set lunch were tasty and the service prompt, we went there expecting the buffet. At no time from our arrival on the property or into the restaurant were we asked which meal service we wanted. I suggested to the host that this be changed in the future to prevent newcomers from not having the experience they were expecting. I also suggested that their website advertisement for the event be clarified in the future.
Great staff, great food, great atmosphere.
We went on Christmas Day expecting the “Sunday Brunch” menu as had been indicated in the reservation. Instead, we were greeted with a three course meal for $95 a person, exclusive of drinks. Insult to injury, the food was ok but not great. We won’t be back despite the fact that the setting is really beautiful.
Loved it it was awesome
Disappointing considering we have dined here at Christmastime for past few years.
Rib eye way overcooked and tough; certainly missed the corn feeding.
Lamb chops kind of similar; not medium rare and less than scrumptious as they ought to be.
Potato croquettes, tato tots, good idea but poorly executed by not being HOT.
Holiday meal not wanting to complain and mess up the ambiance, but afte thoughts not pleasant.
Terrible value but top notch setting.
Holiday brunch truly enjoyable. Will return again soon.
The overall experience was excellent. However, I did have difficulty in making my reservation for Sunday brunch. The "Open Table" application did not provide the correct times for the advertised brunch schedule. Additionally, when I spoke to Sue at the front desk at T-Cooks, she was rude and condescending. I have enjoyed meals at T-Cooks for well over twenty years and have never had such a bad experience. I strongly encourage T-Cooks to find someone who enjoys their job and likes people. When Sue met me at the front desk, she remembered our call and continued to be less than pleasant. The place, the meal, and our guests more than made up for the bad start, but T-Cooks should take note.
