We went around 2PM and it was quite empty. It might be more interesting to go for dinner.
Been here couple of times with my wife and both occasions we were welcomed very well and the food was good. This time we came with our girls for a dinner, and also an early celebration of my birthday the next day. Realized that although their food selection is good, it is not child friendly.
Also not really good value. Now, I paid GBP2000 (c. $2800) restaurant bills for my birthday before and don't hesitate if its worth it. However beginning to become conscious at this restaurant about what we are paying for what. Paying about $180 for two chicken schnitzels, one burger and a salad with two glasses of wine is a bit too much for this restaurant. If you go for steaks and wine for all, with starters, you will end up paying over $100 each (as we did before), which is really a bit too much for this cozy crowded neighborhood concept.
I have passed by this restaurant many times and never tried it. I chose it, just to try something different and felt quite embarassed with my choice when our friends arrived.
The place felt dated. out of a time warp. My husband ordered a glass of wine for me while we were waiting for our friends to arrive and it was sticker shock when the bartender asked him for $19.60.
I wouldn't expect this in a place that looked like a dated bowling alley from the 1960's. ( It was not intentional retro decor).
The service was mediocre and our husbands' were both unhappy with their entrees.
My fish was "ok" at best. How can you mess up Branzino?
Out of all the great restaurants, how does this place survive?
One has to wonder....
Nice salads and quiet atmosphere. Good wait staff, available without being intrusive.
Such an amazing place. The food was great, and the service is fantastic. This is really a nice place, I had a lovely experience eating here. I'll be sure to come back here.
What has happened to T-Bar? It is nowhere nearly as good as it once was. The pizza is mediocre at best, particularly for the price, and the chicken milanese was rubbery. Even their fabulous olive bread lacked its usual crisp outer layer. We didn't see Tony around when we were there, so maybe that explains it, but we won't be going back any time soon.
Always a wonderful experience. Upscale casual crowd. Great service and atmosphere.
Food is always great and consistent. Drinks are fantastic and creative. Service is always above and beyond what you would expect.
Superb service in elegant contemporary setting with excellent choices from salads to desserts. Worth the price if you are a foodie. Had the kale salad, branzino with citrus, and a fine Pinot Grigio .
Dinner is too noisy, so I have met here for lunch if a friend requested it. Italian Tuna which is meant to be a salad nicoise is surprisingly very ordinary. 3 blocks away there is a far superior one. The ambience is nice for lunch. I am a vegetarian and beside an omelette and the Italian Tuna, there was little else. A salmon burger would have been nice. The choice of rosemary bread and olive bread were crispy but way too salty. Do the owners actually eat what they serve?
First time trying this neighborhood restaurant for brunch/lunch and found the food to be very good. It was a really nice place to eat, relax and have good conversation. The omelet and french toast were very good and the brunch comes with a breakfast cocktail and coffee/tea.
I noticed in the back they have an area that would be nice for a large group, 8-10.
It was great!
We dine there often but now this restaurant is becoming too expensive for what you pay. Paying $52 for a steak is a ripoff and would rather go to a steak house and pay that amount. Will not be dinning there anytime soon unless we go for a salad and pizza.
The noise level was so high that my friend and I, sitting opposite one another, could not hear each other. The restaurant is a scene for the 1%ers.
Nice all around! Great service!great and diverse menu... love this restaurant
Too noisy for dinner and too expensive for lunch. Used to be my favorite but don’t know what’s happrned.
I used to love this restaurant but was there twice this week, once for dinner and once for lunch.
It was unbelievably noisy at dinner- no quiet spot for conversation. I don't remember it being like this. The prices have become too high. for example - $15.00 for apple crisp for dessert! Main entrees are now mostly in the above $30 range. Disappointing. It looks like they baffled only half the ceiling for noise control to save money. They need to fix this. This was my "go to" restaurant but now need to rethink.
If you are OK with the prices (~$150/person depending on how much you drink) this place does not disappoint. Good service and outstanding food. My wife and I had an excellent time.
Valentine date night
Everything was great
Hope to come beck soon
Love the food and atmosphere at T-Bar! The salmon is the best in the city, imo.
Service could improve-was on top of us to take order and nearing closing out to switch from lunch to dinner. Dropped check and kept coming back for payment. Didn't approach table anytime in between...but food good and easy place to catch up with friends!
Favorite local restaurant !
Two friends took me to TBar for a birthday celebration. They were lovely, gave us a nice table. We shared the pizza and the beet/endive salad, another had a burger with fries. The food here is consistently good.
Delighted by the food: everything from the bread basket to the extraordinary salmon ceviche to a delicious Irish salmon. Even the coffee was excellent. The strawberry shortcake dessert really stood out: Creative and unique! This gem is right in my neighborhood. I'll be back.
Went for Restaurant Week Lunch. Excellent meal, Salmon was very high quality cut with a nice job cooking (crisp outside, pink inside). Salad is handcrafted. I felt price was fair given app & dessert (a superb banana parfait) is included.
Saturday brunch and it was a wonderful experience. Moderate noise where you can have a conversation without screaming. Never felt rushed. Service was great.
Took my daughter in law out for her birthday and we all had a great time. The bronzino, salmon and tuna were very good. Great desserts too.
Great choices for restaurant week.
We had a 7pm reservation on. a Wednesday and weren’t seated until 7:45.
T-BAR knocked it out of the park for our restaurant week dinner. They honored our reservation time and sat us immediately at one of the best tables in the house. The waitstaff was friendly, warm, efficent and knowledgable
The portions were full size and came out in a timely manner. The wine was fab & resonably priced. The four of us went home happy. Thank you TBAR, kudos to the manager, owner and staff.
Excellent experience across the board. Deserts were also outstanding. I had the banana caramel sundae. Even your breads were fresh and excellent.
We did the restaurant week menu! But normal menu although pricey is always great
I have eaten there 20 times. I won’t go there again. The food was terrible v
The rosemary bread at the start of the meal was amazing... food was cooked to perfection. The bartender makes a great Negroni. Would totally go again for a date night or special occasion.
Delicious and great atmosphere! Recommend for date nights and quality time with family or friends
Food was very ordinary. Caesar salad was cut up pieces of romaine w/ a very few shavings of tasteless parmesan like cheese. We asked them to add shrimp. I think they took one shrimp and cut it into small pieces. Really?
Delicious dinner.....great service. Hostesses were friendly and helpful when I asked for a different table. No attitudes.
Steak for 2 is amazing so is the Tuna Tartare!! I love this place!!
Always love Tbar. It’s consistently delicious.
I have been coming to tbar for 10 years. I love their grilled salmon on the tbar salad with sherry vinaigrette. Tony is terrific. He is very hospitable and hardworking.
