Nestled at 755 Beacon Street, Sycamore in Newton Centre is a revelation-a neighborhood bistro that elevates dining to an art form. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting glow. Exposed brick walls, soft natural light, and a lively yet intimate vibe create a setting that feels like a heartfelt embrace. This is where passion for food and community converge, and it's impossible not to be captivated by the magic. The menu, a tribute to seasonal ingredients, showcases the brilliance of Chef-Owner David Punch and Chef Greg Brodsky, whose vision brings every dish to life. Each plate is a work of art, crafted with locally sourced produce, fish, and meats that sing with flavor. The housemade orecchiette is a standout, mingling forest mushrooms, tender fava beans, and a luscious porcini crema, crowned with smoky ricotta infornata for a dish that's both earthy and indulgent. Equally impressive is the grilled Crystal Valley chicken, paired with nutty farro, charred rapini, a fiery cherry mostarda, and a rich roasted garlic jus that ties it together with bold, harmonious notes. Every bite celebrates New England's bounty with European finesse. The beverage program is a triumph, thanks in part to the artistry of bartender Scott Shoer. Scott's craft cocktails, like the citrusy Falerno! with its smoky mezcal kick, are as inventive as they are refreshing. The bar, buzzing with energy, feels like a clubhouse where new friends bond over chorizo croquettas and impeccable drinks. What makes Sycamore truly special is the staff's warmth and dedication. From attentive servers to Scott's welcoming presence behind the bar, their genuine care elevates every moment. This is a team that loves their craft, and it shows in every detail. Sycamore isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination that leaves you eager to return before you've even left. Whether it's a special occasion or a craving for a soul-warming meal, this Newton gem delivers.

Wonderful foodie experience with incredibly nice wait staff. The noise level was the only challenge because the food was great.
