S. Y. Kitchen requests a credit card to hold a reservation of 8 or more. A minimum gratuity of 20% will be added. You may cancel by calling the restaurant by 5 PM two days prior to the reservation. After that cancellation is subject to our policy and fees may be incurred. All credit card information will be processed securely.

Service was pretty bad. Drinks were late. No napkins or utensils on table. Had to ask 10 minutes into our meal. A can of Diet Coke is $4 😳 overpriced!

SY Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. The food is always spot on and the service is always wonderful. The craft cocktails are unique and delicious and the atmosphere is great. I wish they had a little more room so patrons wouldn't be so cozy (lol), but I don't want them leaving the SYV so forget I ever said that!

All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh. What was lacking was flavor. Each of us ordered a pasta dish that costs between $24 and $28. The pasta was definitely fresh and made from scratch. However, there just wasn't any depth of flavor- we had to salt all of our dishes. For that price, we expected delicious. We also each had the special soup of the day: broccoli. At $14 a serving, we were expecting an nuanced, flavorful experience. Again, we were left reaching for the salt;

The cocktails were OUTSTANDING, as was the fresh bread served as an appetizer.

Unfortunately, we decided to skip dessert; we became more disappointed as the meal progressed.

Food was delicious and the service was perfect. We couldn't have wished for a better experience. We showed up a bit early, so as we waited for our table they offered to sit us outside next to an open fire and took our drink order. It was perfect for our date night, it aloud us to relax after our drive up from Santa Barbara, as well as enjoy our drinks, (I had a great red blend that was recommended by a very nice gentleman that was very knowledgable about the wines being offered, and it was perfect. As well, my wife had the Special Moscow Mule they offered on there drink menu and that too was on point.) We were sat at our table at our reserved time, and were met promptly by the staff. Megan, our server, was exceptional, super friendly and knowledgable about the specials being offered for the night and the regular menu. We ordered from both. We ordered an app, salad, pasta, and a main dish and two deserts. They were all simply delicious. Its easy to tell that all were made with the freshest and best ingredients and that they were made with both care and love. That is hard to find these days. I can't wait to go back, it is worth the drive and I'd would highly recommend SY Kitchen, as it will not disappoint.

:(The seating selection was poor so when we politely said we would go somewhere else (after they told us we couldn’t be seated anywhere else.) the girl said, Perfect! It wasn’t the main hostess it was another gal. I understand being stressed, I previously worked in the restaurant business, but it was not a polite way to handle the situation.

Blake was an outstanding bartender. He made the visit very enjoyable. The food was very good as well. The Butternut Squash soup was the best. The pasta dishes were a bit on the 'al dente' side, so if you prefer a little more cook on yours you may want to mention that up front.

Read about this restaurant in Sunset magazine so decided to try it. Definitely a great spot with very good food. Probably a top restaurant in the region of Santa Ynez Valley.
