Swiss Chalet - Woodland Park
Jaeger Schnitzel Spaetzle
Excellent food, service , and ambiance.
My overall evaluation is very good. The service was outstanding, especially since the server was the only one there attending to all the tables. My dessert was wonderful, but the Salmon was a little dry and had very little reduction to help with moisture.
Always awesome food. We went for our Thanksgiving meal. Very reasonable price and we have never had a bad experience. You can actually hear yourself talk without having to shout. We always go for special occasions. Service is always top notch. We'll worth the drive up to Woodland Park
Thanksgiving dinner was rushed. To bad
Always great ambience and service. Food seems to be a hit or miss affair. The Thai Chicken soup tasted very good but I wouldn’t say that it was ‘Thai’ in its flavor profile. Prime Rib was excellent but no horseradish or au jus- just sour cream. Grilled Ribeye was undercooked and considerably under seasoned with the caramelized bourbon onions also under seasoned. The smashed potatoes and asparagus were perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Amazing food with the perfect atmosphere! Perfect date night in the mountains.
The staff was amazing! So friendly and attention to detail was spot on! The chef prepared our meals perfectly.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, Staff and will be coming back very soon.
Thank you so much!
It's been awhile since my wife and I have been there. But mom and mother in law passing has been difficult
Beautiful, romantic dinner with delicious food as well.
Outstanding food, ambiance and service! The best in Woodland Park!
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and it did not disappoint. I had the pork chop which was done perfectly. My husband had the rack of lamb served with a blackberry sauce. He said it was one of the best dishes he has had since we moved back to Colorado. The chocolate torte and crème brulee were the perfect way to end the meal. Overall a wonderful delicious meal in a cozy welcoming atmosphere.
The perfect place to enjoy a quiet and satisfying evening/meal while in the mountains. The cabin setting is perfect. The staff is wonderful and the central fireplace compliments the evening.
Peach margarita wonderful. Swiss fondue delicious. Salad awesome. Bleu Cheese dressing best I've ever had Chicken Zurich fantastic. Apple pie amazing. Delightful dinner from beginning to end!!
Wonderful place! Excellent portion of salmon… great ambiance.
Beer cheese soup and salad (champagne dressing) were perfect as was the filet. Rack of lamb was tasty as was the blackberry Demi glacé but the serving size was no more than about three edible ounces. The potatoes au gratin were the best I’ve ever had. The St Julia Malbec paired nicely with the meat.
They forgot to bring out the smoked salmon appetizer, otherwise service would have been 5stars.
It had been several years since I had been to Swiss chalet. A friend and I went there for lunch, and I was a bit disappointed. We ordered hot tea to warm up and it was tepid at best. Sitting by the fire was lovely. The meal itself was good, but not spectacular. The service, however, was great. The potato salad that accompanied our brats needed more flavor.
The hardest part is deciding what to order. My favorites - fried avocados, Norwegian smoked salmon, Thai chicken curry soup (soup of the day), the lamb chops with a blackberry glaze, almond crusted salmon, and finish with the swiss crepe or gluten free chocolate torte.
Expected some Swiss/German music... not a deal breaker.
We arrived at 5pm so it was a little chilly for my mother in the restaurant.
However, food was great, service great and atmosphere very pleasing. We will return.
We were very disappointed when we heard that they ran out of the salmon. I was really looking forward to it, and due to dietary restrictions, none of the meat meals were options for me. That left me with either the overprices sea bass or the pasta. I chose the pasts, which tasted very good, but was not salmon. Although the bowl was very hot when served, the pasts was only luke-warm.
Salmon was way over cooked. The rice had too much safron on it. I had the chicken which was juicy and the noodles were good BUT there were a LOT of capers (50+?) on the plate. I struggled to taste anything besides capers. An hour after our meal, I still tasted capers in my mouth.
Everything nice, but slow - 1:20 from arrival to main course served.
Excellent meals, excellent service, excellent drinks, excellent experience
One of the best places to eat in the region. It is small and intimate and the food is fantastic.
Excellent service, friendly staff, great salmon and pork chops
One of the best seasbass that I have ever had. Lovely with risotto. Escargot appetizer also made me want more. Wonderful restaurant in Woodland Park.
Wish it was closer to me!!!! I'll go back as soon as I can get to Colorado!
My wife and I loved our evening here/ Cannot recommend this enough!
The food was perfect! Limited menu but offered great variety. We would definitely go back but we didn't discover this restaurant until the end of our vacation.
Another wonderful dining experience at the Swiss Chalet. My husband and I shared escargot for an appetizer. Absolutely delicious!! We both ordered the coffee rubbed pork loin chop served with a maple-bourbon glaze, roasted brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. We savored eat bite. We washed everything down with a Paulaner Oktoberfest.
Very delicious meal. Service was great. Make sure to make a reservation before going in!
Food, service and atmosphere is always perfect here.
The food was excellent and so was the service! Great place for a special dinner or to celebrate with friends. I’ve never had a pork chop so tender or lamb so perfectly cooked! We were so full, we took home food and passed on dessert.
Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding. My only criticism, and this is not much of a problem- we ordered the cheese fondue for an appetizer and it was easily enough for 6 people or more. There were only 2 of us! It would be nice if they offered fondue for 2. A small issue. We will definitely go again.
Lovely and so relaxing as always! Staff was extra friendly and attentive and food/drinks were top notch. We have family that travel into town on occasion and this is our go-to spot to treat them. Thank you again! We’ll be back soon.
Excellent service as always.
Best dinning in Teller County hands down!
Love the ambiance at Swiss Chalet. We come back here time and time again. The staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our meals have always been excellently prepared and enjoyed. We drive well over an hour one way just to treat ourselves to this upscaled cuisine. This last time we brought our daughter and son-in-law to introduce them to this delightful place and they were wowed!
The Swiss Chalet has been a family tradition for at least 50 years. Anytime we are in Manitou Springs we always make a reservation for an enjoyable evening with excellent food.
We always enjoy our time at the Swiss Chalet. Great service and great food a homey atmosphere.
Elegant and Special!
Always a great place to eat! Tasting food and friendly service!
