The Burnt ends are a must!
It’s probably the best BBQ in Miami, but I will say that the level of perfection has diminished over the last year. I see less effort overall in terms of presentation, plating and desserts. I find that it’s a watered down version of how it was when it originally opened. Still good, but do better.
The ambiance could be better for this restaurant. It doesn't feel as cozy as a southern-style comfort food and whisky lovin restaurant should. The brisket and mac and cheese were delish and the old fashioneds were on point.
We fell in love with this place online. The menu had our mouths watering. The pictures looked great. The reviews for the most part were good. But. . . . Service was so slow. Thought they forgot about us after they seated us. We ordered "an order of biscuits to share first, then we'll have the pulled pork with eggs and cheese grits, and the kale salad with pork belly." We waited and waited. The biscuits never came. Finally they brought the entrees. When we told the server we never got the biscuits (half way through our meal) he said "I don't know why they never came". No, neither did we. What an odd response, we thought. We cancelled them. The Kale salad was quite large, but basically a huge bowl of kale with very little else. The pork belly just wasn't what we expected for pork belly, especially at a place called "Swine" -- more like three little half slices of bacon which wasn't very flavorful and wasn't at all crispy. $8 added to the $15 salad for those three little pieces of "bacon" seemed absurd. They also apparently forgot the cornbread croutons which we saw on the same salad next to us. The pulled pork was also very bland and quite a skimpy serving hiding under two perfectly cooked eggs on a bed of cheese grits. The eggs and the grits were definitely the best things. We waited and waited for the bill. We won't be back.
Delicious as always
The food, service and ambiance at Swine is absolutely perfect. The Burnt Ends appetizer is the best and their cornbread is to die for.
It appears that weekends have become "brunch only" for lunch. If you are looking for brunch, then this is the place for you on Saturdays and Sundays. Regular lunch items are very few. In terms of "Southern Fare," very much lacking. I did not feel like I enjoyed a "Southern" meal. The food I ordered was actually quite tasty and showed the potential of the kitchen, and the service was very good. I wish the menu hadn't been so limited. The banquettes look worn out in places and need some upkeep, and the railing on the second floor needs some thorough cleaning. All in all, "Ok." I would not go out of my way to come here, nor would I necessarily "recommend" it as a "must."
Moth watering selections. Ask for their recommendations. Truly do not dissapoint.
They have one fish entree on the menu and they didn’t have it. The filet mignon was too busy, fried chicken was over cooked although the cheese grits were excellent. Ribs were very good, porchetta was good, not great. They didn’t have the wine we chose. Bourbon milk and cookies were very good and the deviled eggs were ok. All in all, Yardbird in South Beach is a much better bet. Service was pretty good.
By far best burger in town!
Food was great and the service was as well. All of the staff was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Neat decor , great service and food, everyone enjoyed and they expertly worked around some special requests!
Food and service are great. However a little pricey.
I had made this as a birthday reservation for my siblings. On the reservation I had requested two desserts (to be charged, didn’t ask for freebees) for the birthdays. Everything was going great until the desserts came. It was the saddest happy birthday song I have ever heard in a restaurant. Worst part was, when we were being seated, we heard another group being sung happy birthday by a large group of servers, not just the one. Really ruined the whole birthday experience.
Overall it was good but some plates were cold and a bit overpriced . The best were the cornbread, Mac n Cheese, and burger.
This restaurant was a real find and it was close to the theatre...Theywere extremely accommodating to get us in and out by showtime. The food was amazing and the roasted brussel sprouts were the best I have ever tasted! The decor was inspirational and we felt like it was a great experience! I will recommend and return!!!!
By far the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had. A must try!
Great food & the restaurant is very cozy.
Great modern industrial atmosphere that would fit in any rust belt city. Slim draft beer selection but off the hook BBQ. We got the sampler and the two of us struggled to finish it because there was so much food.
I’ll be back.
Pretty great and fattening 👍
Would recommend for Sunday Brunch ☕️
I've been here 3 times now, food has been amazing everytime. Brunch with bottomless mimosas on sat. and sun. are the perfect pair. Will go back again
We would have liked and expected a BBQ chicken dish on the menu, but the only chicken dish was fried, which was not desired because One of our group couldn’t eat pork, which limited her options. The BBQ salmon was delicious, as was the Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and molten chocolate cake. The prices were appropriate for the type and quality of food offered.
Had a lovely brunch with friends. The service was spectacular and the food was flavorful and abundant. Highly recommend!
Great food! Drinks way OVERPRICED!!!!
It was amazing! It was my first time there and I will definitely be back!
Brunch on Swine was excellent. It was clearly seen why they won SOBE’s burger bash as their burger is balanced and delicious. Rodney in the kitchen was very attentive.
For what they charge the quality of the food does not match the prices. The 3 strips of brisket for $32 was fatty throughout, the cornbread dry and not fresh, burger small for $18, and potatoes wedges way over fried. The best part of the meal was the kale salad.
Great service! Super friendly staff. And always great food and drinks. Never disappoints
Great atmosphere, food was absolutely delicious! Would recommend the BBQ pit mix for 2. Ribs fell off the bone without effort!
Incredible restaurant...the food is to die for !! Burn ends, Macarooni and Cheese, wedge salad, brisket.....all greta!!
Lovely service, great recommendations. Food was delicious and perfect for sharing. Wish we had room left for desserts. Will have to come back to try them.
We celebrated a birthday at Swine. Service was great thanks to Stephanie. The food was very good. We shall be back.
Food and drinks never disappoint. Although pricey, the portions are generous and you won't leave hungry. Burnt ends are a must, as well as the Creme Brulee. Pork chop is amazing, when in season on the menu.
One of my "go to" restaurants. Food and service are always incredible and consistent. Cocktails are delicious. Whenever I have family or friends in town, I make sure to bring them to Swine.
GARBAGE, STAY AWAY
As a long time Customer (since when originally opened) a South Florida native, to include Coral Gables where Swine is located. It is with total disappointment that I must rate my experience at Swine as mediocre at best and I'm being kind !
First of all as I walked in I saw that the front windows and doors were very dirty ! as we waited at the front podium, took a while till noticed (let me add the place was empty, just 3-4 couples eating)I noticed that the lack of cleanliness was not isolated to the first impression walking in at the front door.
In addition , many of the vinyl back and seat cushions in the booths had huge signs of wear , you could see under the rips the actual yellow foam on most !! My general impression as I walked in was looks and smells dirty, and somewhat rundown, I understand that its not a brand new restaurant, but management is responsible for what I have mentioned, I suggest that you hire an independent cleaning crew that comes in and cleans every night after closing !!!!
Floor felt greasy, as did the tables, even the glasses were full of smudges , to where my wife was mentioning it to the busboy, and he acknowledged and continue to select several different glasses from the tables near by ours ( most tables were empty) until he found two for us.
Menus had food stains throughout, actually I will stop now, without mentioning a few other unacceptable similar unclean areas, because I would like to move to service, as follows, slow, slow, slow, slow, the young lack of experienced server was trying her best to be nice, and she was, however bottom line she just is not a professional server, which is expected at this price level & class of restaurant as Swine is suppose to be.
Hope management really cares and takes my sincere feedback and does something about this.
We enjoyed our dinner. We had the mixed grill which was a nice portion of four meats. The ribs were great, the brisket was good and the chicken was very good. Really enjoyed the brussel sprouts!!
