Excellent in every way- but it was extremely loud!!!
Very good and the desert, raspberry and cream pavlava, was awesome and must have!
Great place for a business meeting or a date night!
Dinner at swifts attic is great for any special occasion or even just a date night. Dark candle lit atmosphere, great drinks, and a unique menu!
Fun time in great atmosphere
My wife and I found our new favorite restaurant in Austin!
Everything was fantastic. Quaint place perfect for a cozy date night or time with friends.
Service was excellent and our vegetarian diners loved everything!
A great meal in a warehouse-meets-attic-splashed-with-glamour setting! The food is unique but not so strange as to leave you fearful or hungry. A great night out with friends or a lovely date night is well spent here.
Wow! Thank you so much Holly -- it truly means a lot to our hardworking team. We hope to see you again soon!
Great experience! Drinks were amazing and so were the bacon wrapped dates and Brussel sprouts. Wasn't a big fan of the crab stuffed sole special.
Food, place and service was great, but the plates were too small for what I payed.
Thank you so much! We will be sure to let them team know your feedback. We do hope you come back to see us again soon!
My husband and I went out for the 4 course New Years Eve pre fixe menu. The restaurant was packed, so we anticipated a wait, but it literally took us (and other tables) more than an hour between our first course plates being taken away and our second course coming out. The only explanation we got after flagging down our server was, “the kitchen is busy, let me check”. Someone that appeared to be the manager came around to check in, and apologized for the “timeline not being up to snuff”, but only after multiple tables complained about the wait. The food was unfortunately subpar, and not worth the hype. The check included a mandatory 20% gratuity, which we decided not to object to, since we didn’t feel it was worth our time to try and flag down the manager. We’re usually not the type to completely avoid a restaurant due to one “off” night, but we’ll be steering clear of this place after our experience tonight.
Best New Year's Eve dinner from a pre-defined menu that I ever had! Can't wait to return to this restaurant and try items from their standard menu.
Thank you so much Darlene! It truly means a lot to our hardworking team. We do hope to see you again soon!
Our server was great, but I docked on service stars because we wrote in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, and nothing was done to celebrate it. No dessert or anything. It’s a bummer because the food and ambience was great but that spoiled it. Hostess acknowledged mistake but bit of a bummer that nothing was done.
Is a very comfortable place to dining. But is expensive
Great service and great food.
Thank you so much!
Always fun combinations of flavors but disappointed there were no shishito peppers on the menu - it’s my favorite
Thank you so much! The Shishitos are one of our faves and is available on our lunch, dinner and happy hour menu. We do hope you come back soon!
Vacation with teans
I took my husband here for his birthday. It didn’t disappoint! The food and staff were amazing, and the music was nice!!!! Will define back!!
Thank you so much, we truly appreciate it! We hope to see you again soon!
We had a wonderful, delicious experience! Very attentive service by our favorite waiter Jonas.
Thank you so much -- it truly means a lot to our team! We hope you come back and see us again soon.
Overall, extremely mediocre. We arrived and the hostess sat us in a table in the middle of the restaurant. It was my partners birthday and I had asked for a nice table, but we got seated here rather than a cozy booth against the wall. The waiter immediately swung by and asked if we wanted drinks less than 1 minute after we sat down. He never asked if we had been there before (we had not) or any details. We ordered drinks and then ordered our food. We were hoping for some recommendations or suggestions, but he did not offer any. We heard other waiters tell their tables about how the menu works/number of small plates recommended per person/favorite dishes, but we got none of that. All of the food we got was incredibly bland. It was well prepared, but so under seasoned it was unreal. Also, we had to ask for new plates (if you were sharing, everything had to be eaten off of bread plates. Nothing bigger was offered). One of the dishes was brought out super early in the coursing so it was cold when we ate it. When we were wrapping up, the waiter said they were sending over a dish; he never asked if we had allergies (we do) or preferences. They gave us the Brussels sprouts which was a portion big enough for 4 people, and they had almonds on them, which my partner was allergic to. We were never checked up on, which stunk because my partner would have liked to try a different wine. Then, the waiter says he’s sending out a dessert; we assume for her birthday, but again no asking about our preferences. Well he does ask what we prefer but then says he wants to send us his favorite, and at this point we just were ready to leave. He brings a dessert which was tasty (though included pears which my partner is allergic to), and this was the only dish the entire evening with salt! Arguably too much salt, but we were excited for salt nonetheless. The restaurant appeals to the baseline boring Austin eater; complicated cocktails, Brussels sprouts, and fusion main courses.
Thank you Kate for letting us know about your experience. We are sorry to hear and apologize to you and your partner. Upon dining if you ever have an issue with food or service please speak to our manager and they will be happy to fix any issues right away and of course please let your server know if you do have any allergies. We do hope you come back and give us another try.
The food, unfortunately, was not hot. It was warm and edible but I was hoping for a hot hamburger.
Thank you Michael for letting us know about your experience. We are sorry to hear. Upon dining if you ever have an issue with food or service please speak to our manager and they will be happy to fix any issues right away. We do hope you come back and give u another try.
Way too close to others and could hear intimate details. Very uncomfortable and we were never recommended individualized items on the menu. The waiter recommended the same items to every person, regardless of their requests. Second time going and I was very disappointed. Will definitely not recommend as a second go.
Excellent dinner before a show on a Thursday night. We caught the end of happy hour, and shared a dinner portion. Our waiter from Sweden was excellent, the food and drinks delicious. It was loud and vibrant but not over the top noisy.
Thank you so much -- we hope you come back soon!
What a find! We were looking for a place to eat within walking distance of our hotel and luck into this gem. Quirky, lively setting. Friendly staff and a wonderful innovative menu. My husband said they were the best scallops he’s ever had. High praise from him. Our small plates were just right for sharing. Fun craft cocktails as well. The place was full of interesting groups of people enjoying themselves. Highly recommend!
Fabulous experience here. This literally hidden gem truly delivered a first class experience. From the moment you enter you know you’re in for a very special treat. Wonderful warm greeting, superb service, great menu and excellent food and drinks. The setting is stunning in every way, it’s a beautiful space that you wouldn’t even know was there - SO glad we found it! Will definitely return.
We were there for Sunday brunch. 3 of us had the burger - OMG hands down the best burger any of us have had in a long time. Food presentation was wonderful. Portion sizes perfect. Flavors fabulous.
Go! You won’t regret it!
The food was really good! The only thing that was subpar was the pad Thai.. it tasted like pb &j it was a little too peanut buttery
Best service we had in Austin. The staff all worked together and made sure the experience was positive. Our drinks were never empty and we never needed anything. All of the tapas were delicious and there was plenty of options for every dietary restrictions (fish, meat, and veggie). The ambiance is rad with very cool decor.
I ordered the squid fries and the fried chicken sandwich. I can't remember when I've enjoyed lunch more. That chicken sandwich was off the hook! Definitely deserves the blue ribbon. The spicy sauce served with the squid was perfect....excellent service...all for a very reasonable price. My lunch companion ordered the grain bowl and she said that healthy food had never tasted so good!
We enjoyed seven or eight different plates. Each one was delicious. Particularly enjoyed the flavor of the flank steak.
I’ve eaten at Swift’s Attic many times and have never been disappointed. Good drinks, good food, great location.
One word Amazing
Amazing food and amazing service. Our first time in Austin and would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant
Brunch menu was comprehensive. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of the custard French toast when I visited. Tried the eggs benedetto instead. Very good, eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was good; however, the dish was a little salty for my taste. The $5 mimosas are large and more champagne than orange juice just the way that I like them.
What a nice way to spend Sunday morning! We were greeted warmly and thoroughly enjoyed the great service and the awesome food. We indulged in the beignets and French chocolate - scrumptious is not a good enough word. Our order was promptly served and expertly plated. It was a great experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Simply a pleasure from start to finish.
As always, the food was amazing. Both delicious and creatively presented. The drinks are also unique and fun.
This is a fun and lively place to eat. Our bacon dates were the best, but the pop rocks edamame was not as bright as I remembered. The kale Caesar salad was great , but the scallops were decent, not amazing. Our waiter was very attentive, but I did feel a little bit rushed, as if he was trying to turn the table quickly.
Our group of 6 had a great time. The food was delicious - definitely try the Brussels sprouts! There were so many dishes we tried. All were great.
service was not in line with prices & no red wine glasses......odd as had any expensive red wine list
The drink choices were incredible. Our waiter was friendly and a lot of fun as well. The food was good, but not all we had hoped. However the huckleberry dessert is a must try! I would go again.
Thank you so much -- we love our new pastry chef! Come back and try some other dishes soon!
