   Our first time dining here. It is one of the best overall meals that I can remember. From the small plates through to dessert, every item was fabulous. If you are in SW Florida, this is a destination restaurant.

   Seasoning on the salmon was truly outstanding and along with a seasonal salad paring watermelon, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella food was delicious! Friendly service. Would definitely go back on a return visit to the island.

   Nice night and the service was good and friendly. However the food wasn’t up our expectations. We’ve dined there many times in the past. I’d have to say the menu hasn’t changed much over the years and seems staid and set. Nothing was exceptional and I’ve had exceptional food there in the past. I felt that everything was over salted and the presentation lacked pizazz. Maybe it was an off night but the whole affect of the restaurant seemed dull.

    The entire experience was excellent. Hannah our server never missed a beat. We were never rushed. Our drinks were very good. We started with the 3 cheese board which included 3 very nice cheeses and a delicious cranberry walnut bread. They also served us warm crusty bread and olive oil which was also very good. For all entrees, there is a choice of petite or regular serving. We decided to go with the regular so we could have lunch today. What a great deck because there was plenty. We had the excellent fish stew and the grilled scallops. Both outstanding. We couldn’t even consider dessert although I’m sure that it was just as good. They had an extension wine list as well. Five stars for sure!

    We didn't enjoy the menu choices as much as we did last year. It felt like the chef was trying to choose odd combinations of foods just to out do himself. For instance the watermelon salad had Kalamata olives as one of the ingredients and a pesto dressing. It felt like the watermelon was just thrown into a Mediterranean salad and not the star ingredient. My duck breast was just ok, but the Duck Confit was wonderful. Scallops would have been better if they were seared.

    My absolute favorite restaurant in SWF! I drove 2 hours to dine at this fabulous place. The bartender, Kevin, is knowledgeable in wine selection and creates tasty mixed drinks as well. Melissa is a chef extraordinaire.

    Second time here and didn’t disappoint. I had first seen Melissa showcased on TV about 10 yrs ago & had been dying to try it. The food has been fresh and impeccably prepared both with creative flair and with just the right amount of spice and seasoning. The server was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely come back & highly recommend.

    As usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sweet Melissa's. We certainly didn't need a reservation as traffic has slowed considerably since the season has ended. My husband had the grilled romaine and the mussels, and I had the kale salad and prime rib sandwich. Everything was very good. The only thing I would say, and this comes from someone who almost NEVER salts her food, is the frites could have benefitted from a more liberal sprinkling of salt as could the prime rib sandwich. Without the nice crust that comes from a seared piece of beef, the shaved prime rib really needed some salt. I didn't ask for any at the table (didn't want to insult chef!), but I certainly salted my leftover sandwich half that I ate today for lunch. All in all, Sweet Melissa's remains one of our favorite places.

    We dine here once a year, so we can only go by that experience. Every year for the last 5 or so, there seems to be something that's good, okay and not good. We wish the dishes were consistently good, like when we first started dining here. What's worse is that the wait staff didn't seem to care when we nicely mentioned what was wrong, although this was the first server we had any issues with. In this particular case, the scallops with squash risotto was mixed. The scallops were great, but the risotto was terrible. It was too salty and salt is all we tasted and some of the squash was cooked and some were not. What's funny is we had a similar dish in 2019 and made the comment that the risotto was good but needed salt. We wanted to try it again hoping it was better. On the other side, the beef tenderloin with dauphine potatoes and asparagus was great!

    The food and the choices were good, but the server was so bad that it tainted the meal. All I wanted was to not be bothered. Sorry, bottom line good food poor service.

    the food was absolutely lovely. the scallops were to die for and the chefs special was also delicious. our server was so kind and made it a great experience. the restaurant itself is not large, but if you’re looking to get away from the crowds and have a nice quiet dinner with a guitarist playing in the back, this place is amazing.

    Sweet Melissa’s has been my favorite dining spot for a few years. Chef Melissa’s creations are always delicious and unique. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic about specials and offering their knowledge. Always my birthday dinner, so that’s got to be special!

    The atmosphere is always pleasant, and the service superb, but one goes for the outstanding food! The selections range from unusual to special renditions of favorite items. The wine list is varied and excellent as well. Overall, a very pleasant place to dine.

    Food was excellent. Chef Melissa has got it going on. You're not going to be disappointed...in fact you'll likely be very pleased. Had the Hamachi, Red Snapper & a couple of their signature cocktails....all fabulous & VERY clean. Love it!
