Although the food was good and pricing was reasonable, I'm not real picky but several of us ordered Chicken & Waffles (brunch) and they were not the least bit warm (I would even venture to say they were cold). Some of us sent them back and they came back lukewarm. I even told them it was ok if they just zapped it in the microwave but I never received a hot waffle. Not sure why that's an issue. My server was just not up to standard. We were trying to make a joke out of the whole situation but she would not engage. Again, not a place I would recommend or try to frequent and I go to a lot of restaurants. I've never written a bad review as I don't mind that "bad" things happen. I'm an avid believer it's how you respond from a customer service perspective that matters.

My party was disappointed in the food. We had 11:30am reservations and were promptly seated. Our food, however, felt like it was microwaved from the night before. The french toast was rubbery, the waffle was hard, the wings were lukewarn.

We visited during our trip to Atlanta and had such a good time we went back again during the trip. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was lively. There were different bands both nights we were there but G Clef was our favorite. They played lots of older R & B and the crowd couldn't hold still. Everyone was singing and dancing--either on the floor or in their seats!

Even after we were done eating the staff was attentive and didn't rush us to so they could turn the table over. Brandi was an excellent server, she was friendly, smiley, offered suggestions and even gave us some directions when we were ready to leave.

It was great! Ambiance was amazing. Food was okay, not all that great for the value. Everything else was perfect. I would go there just to have drinks next time.

When you read the reviews please believe it,I order the fried chicken the room temperature of the food was warm.I made the reservation and when they email me back confirming they told me 5.00 per couple for the band, which was ok.After I receive the bill it was 20.00 per couple on the bill for the band. The band was good and the service was good.I want be back. For the price of the food and quality I was better off at red lobster. Trust me on this one.

Great atmosphere, love the live music. Great sides I don’t eat meat so I had the veggie option. Would be nice to have vegan and vegetarian options.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The hostess and servers are poor quality. The hostess did not even greet us when we walked in and acted as if we were interrupting their conversation so that was a bad first impression. Then the server we had acted as if she was unable to speak with volume. The band was not playing at the times she did speak and we had to continue to ask her to repeat herself or speak up. We had to constantly wave our hand to get our server’s attention and when we finally did and ordered additional things she kept forgetting our order. I requested a second drink and instead of bringing my drink she brought the check since it was the end of her shift and they were doing a shift change. The drinks were mediocre. The food was not good to me. I had their popular fried chicken and it wasn’t good at all. We also had their fried wings as an appetizer and those were nasty. The couple that sat next to us stated the fried green tomatoes are good. I had to doctor up my Mac and cheese but once I did they were good. The collard greens were subpar. My fiancé enjoyed his fried catfish. The ONLY thing that made me like this place was the band but I can find a good band somewhere else with better hostesses, servers and food. Overall it was not a good experience. I went on 02/11/2018

The live band was amazing! We went on a Thursday and we had amazing service although I with the online menu was up to date I had my heart set on those short ribs. I settled for the fried chicken instead which was still amazing. Great time, great vibes, and good laughs. Had so much fun I forgot my servers name but he was amazing as well. The peach cobbler... was so good I was dancing in my seat. Will definitely be back!

Service was terrible. Our waitress was very slow and then non-existent. We later found out she had to leave and someone had taken over our table. We weren't informed and thought she was just helping out.

Interesting drink menu and I enjoyed some of the monshine drinks. Food was okay--not great. Pulled pork was dry but the shrimp and grits was tasty and a large serving. Our server was attentive. Music was enjoyable. Would have stayed longer, but had another place to go to.

If you are looking at the name of this place and thinking "That looks like a good place to try" then you should definitely go! The music is great. The food is better. When we went the band started at 7:00pm, go get an earlier reservation if you want to talk some. But after that, be ready for good soul/R&B music and authentic southern specialties. Great night. Can't wait to go back!

Went to brunch with family. Service was amazing and we had no wait for seating at the bar. This was my 2nd time and the food wasn’t quite as good as it was the first time (a little cold, not lacking in flavor), but still a great experience!

It was my aunt’s 60th bday. I have another aunt who has a bday a couple days prior. They are from a time where their mother owned a light club that sold food and had juice entertainment so i wanted them to experience that once again. Our experience was awesome and we laughed the entire time!

This was my 3rd time dining at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint, like they ALWAYS do...They delivered. It was my Grandmother' 85th birthday and there was NO other place I would have taken her. I hope to take her for her 86th birthday. My family loved the food and the trio that played that evening was ON POINT. What a GREAT night!!!

My first-time visit was a good experience. There's live music which has $5 fee per guest, plus additional costs in parking with an average of $20 for the entree and drink. The chicken and waffles seemed to be ordered the most, in which I also ordered. It seems to be a nice hangout spot for the entire family during lunch, but I'm sure it's gets really "grown and sexy" at night. Be sure to make your reservation with open table to ensure it won't be too long of a wait!

This was a first visit for the 5 of us. Over all the brunch food was tasty but not over the top, with some items overcooked (eggs in the crab Benedict and omelets). The parmesan grits were a hit and so were the deviled eggs appetizer.
We did want to both enjoy the music and visit with one another but found it hard to talk at all when the singer's performance was underway (loud). If there were a way to tone the vocalist's volume just a bit it would be more enjoyable over all (we were sitting at the seats furtherest from the stage).
The music was fun and enjoyable. When the singer took breaks and the musicians played, some of the time it was very pleasant and not so loud as to be overwhelming.

The restaurant is conveniently located and easily visible from Peachtree St. The hostess was a little cold and short when we first entered the restaurant but improved as we talked to her more. This can also be said for our waitress who turned out to be awesome. I felt that we had to joke with them and convince them that it was okay to be nice and provide good customer service. The food was well seasoned and you received large portions which were both positives.
