I had bbq pork which was dry. However my sweet potato gratin and fried tomatoes were outstanding. My partner had an excellent pasta. Band was very good. Management was visible and service was very good. $5 cover charge was strange when we were eating and having drinks.

The server was very rushed and rude! Even if we voiced a concern he just sort of laughed it off. We spoke to a supervisor and she was nice. The food was EXTREMELY good. I had the Chicken and Waffles definitely a thumbs

I am not sure why they charge $5 per person for live entertainment. They were projecting Prince, Solange, and Destiny's Child the whole time we were there. Since when did projecting on screen became live performance? Repeated (we got a call, then another reminder at check-in, and a third time by the waitress) reminders about the rules they have about things spoiled our lunch even before it started.

Live music (local group) was good jazz group, though they took a more than 30 minute break during much of the meal (so timing may be important). Food was good for a corporate owned site, and abundant.

Great Fried Chicken. Could not seat us until entire party arrived. If you have a reservation what’s the point.

We enjoyed the service, food, music & atmosphere. I was disappointed to receive my check to discover we were charged a $10 Entertainment Fee. For 20-25 minutes of our 1 hour brunch experience, the jazz band was not on stage. During that time, we were watching a DVD of Joe Sample and George Benson. Patrons should be advised when making a reservation that there will be an entertainment fee added.

Loved the ambiance. The jazz quartet/trio was very entertaining and created a wonderful music backdrop. The food was definitely the highlight for me though. I had the chicken and waffles and they did not disappoint. I was very happy that the restaurant actually had hot sauce as well:)

This was our first trip to Atlanta. We visited all of the historic and family fun locations but this juke joint was our favorite experience!! We went to this establishment twice with great music, food and service both times. We highly recommend this restaurant for an evening of great food and fun for the whole family. We will be back!!

We came here for brunch after church one day. We waited 40 minutes for our food after placing our order. Two of the four dishes came out cold. We sent them back to the kitchen. One came out as the other two members of our party were finishing their food. The other never came back out. Our server forgot to re-order it, and left us sitting there another 30 minutes waiting. We asked for the manager three times before she finally came out. The $5/person entertainment fee is irritating as well.

It seems as though this establishment is geared toward tourists, and does not depend on repeat business. We sure will not go back.

Great music and food was outstanding. I had a business associate in town for an important meeting and we needed a place to relax . The drinks were outstanding and the staff at the bar was accommodating. The band sung R&B and got the crowd involved. A great place for a good time after work with an electric bar. The soul food was great.

Had a great time. It was my wife's birthday and she loved. I booked reservations two weeks in advance and we were seated right away. The service, the food and the band(The Soul Cartel) was great. Will definitely recommend this to anyone and we'll be back.

I have traveled to Atlanta for business several times and was not that excited to return. However, we had so much fun at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint that I am looking forward to my trip in a few weeks. The food was great and the band was AWESOME. Service was a little slow but we were having so much fun, we didn't mind waiting a little for our food.

The food was terrific. The three of us had different entrees and were fully satisfied. We called the mini corn muffins that are given when you sit down "basket of joy" . Service attentive but not overbearing and the soul trio was very good. In short, the evening was perfection.

Overall this was not a good experience for me. We had a party of six on a Sunday afternoon (brunch hour). We watched the waitress take our orders (she wrote them down). Although it was a bit of a wait, the camaraderie was so great we let the long wait time slide. The waitress delivers the food (five orders) and leaves. She looks at me and clearly realizes I didn’t get my entree. She returns two additional times and never informs me that my meal is on the way (it was a simple chicken entree). By the 3rd time, “I” inquire, to which she looks through her notes and apologizes and runs back to the kitchen, she comes back so quickly (w/the wrong order) that we all realize she ran in and grabbed the first plate. I tell her I didn’t order this (chicken wing appetizer), she goes through her notes again and I tell her to cancel my order all together! She still received a tip that was well above and beyond (which someone who provided superb svc would received), because we were just coming from Church and were trying to do the write thing ! I will not go to this place again.

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's fun and lively. However the service and quality of food can be inconsistent. This time, the wait for the wood was long. Our steak was over cooked. My pasta was cold. But the drinks and music were great.

My Son and I were visiting Atlanta and heard that 'Sweet Georgia's Juke Box' , had terrific food and great ambience. So we made a reservation (because the wait can be 2 hours long) and we went there at 7:45PM.

We were seated on time the jazz band was playing and there was a singer. The band and singer were not bad.

We were waited on in a friendly and timely manner. We both ordered a drink called Juke.It was sweet and very good! My Son had Gumbo and liked it. We both ordered Fried Chicken ,Baked Macaroni and Cheese and Collard Greens. The Chicken was bland, The collard Greens had very little flavor and the Macaroni and Cheese was totally bland! We both had the same opinion about that.
I anticipated and really good meal but sadly it wasn't.

I drove forty miles to listen to the music and per the reviews try the good food. I ordered chicken and waffles but did not realize they came with chicken wings(totally my fault). Not a fan of chicken wings...so when the food came i asked if they could substitute the wings for a breast. I wouldnt have mibded paying a little extra. The dish was already $18. The waitress asked the manager and was told no. I would have to order a whole other meal instead. It was my first time trying chicken and waffles so i was excited. I at least thought they would try to work with me, but no, twice they said its not possible. So is it more about the money than customer service?. I will not return and would not recommend anyone i know to go..they also said they validate parking still ended up having to pay for parking. I ended going home hungry.

Wanted to surprise my husband w/a different dinner idea. This is a great spot, small and cozy, food is great, service is a little slow (had to flag down server to order & get checked out), menu is diverse enough to please a varied group, music was great and the atmosphere is very casual. Unexpected: there were children, babies, etc for dinner Monday night, not sure if late nite weekends are the same. Not very romantic No prob getting reservations and seating Mon. night but weekends are impossible.

I have lived in Atlanta all my life but we decided to go some place where tourist were recommended. It was PHENOMENAL! We had the BEST service and the best food. We all ordered an entrée and shared. Each dish was just as scrumptious as the next! - Chicken and waffles, Shrimp and grits, Hawaiian Steak, and Jambalaya. We will definitely go back - the ambience is amazing. Thank you for making my 50th birthday a night to remember!
