Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint
I was there from Texas to celebrate my birthday. The band, atmosphere and food was great. The servers were very attentive and had great suggestions.
Food was delicious with generous portions and service was good. Music was awesome! The moonshine cocktails were unique and tasty.
There was live music that was fabulous, energetic. It was a great evening!
The staff were superb. The food is fabulous. The grilled trout and crab cakes were excellent.
We arrived early for our reservations and were seated right away. Our waitress was nice but it seemed like she was overworked with other tables. We thoroughly enjoyed the band! They were absolutely outstanding!!!
The food was delicious. The waiters were knowledgeable and honest. There was a live band and the music was an added bonus. However, I was surprised to see a $5 entertainment fee added to the receipt. I would definitely eat there again when I’m in the Atlanta area.
We had a great time at Sweet Georgia’s. The service, food and music was too notch. Would go again!
I had the Bayou Salmon, it was delicious. Angela, the server was great. The music is always top notch. Great experience overall.
Had a great time listening to the live music. Food was great. I had the smothered pork chops with green beans and mashed potatoes
We set time for 8:45PM right after work and l was surprising my husband with a nice date (on me). I assumed with a live band and restaurant closing at 10 that the live band would end at 10 not 930PM. By the time we were seated with being on time we only got to experience music for 25m. It really defeated my purpose of coming to see a LIVE band.
I really loved the salmon with the crawfish beurre blanc... I also enjoyed the collard green spring rolls however the banana pudding was basic and something I could have gotten at a random carry out or grocery store on the East Coast :-(
Great food and atmosphere!
We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Brandy, our server, was the best! Our food was delicious. My husband had the fried chicken, and he said it was the best he’s ever tasted. Don’t tell his mom ;). I had shrimp & grits and it was amazing! The entertainment was fantastic. We laughed, sang, and danced the entire time. We had the best time. This will go into rotation for our date nights in the future for sure. We can’t wait to go back!
Truly enjoyed the band, Soul Cartel. They were exceedingly good and I loved that they played a variety of songs suitable for all audiences.
The food was good, but lukewarm. I ordered the juke joint chicken with collard greens and mashed potatoes (normally comes with Mac n Cheese). Great flavor and portion size.
The staff was welcoming and gracious. I will return!
Great time!!! Awesome atmosphere. Great food.
We had a wonderful time eating the great food and dancing to the awesome music. When we are back in Atlanta, we definitely would like to experience this restaurant again.
Delicious food, satisfying cocktails and the live music was very entertaining.
Our group of four had a wonderful time. The owner Terry met us and introduced us to the singer, Regina. The moonshine was something to try for the experience and the taste. Had a great time!
I made reservations for myself and my husband for his birthday. When we arrived the greeter was very nice he asked for my name and he had someone to take us to our table. We sat down the live band was playing and they were great. The waitress came to the table and we ordered our drinks and looked over the food menu. My husband ordered our food I went to the rest room to freshen up. In within the next 5 minutes our food was ready. Everything was delicious. The waitress was awesome and we will be coming back. Thanks for the hospitality... The drinks were very good...

Wonderful atmosphere! Love the live entertainment and the food was on point!
The ambience was excellent as was the food, staff and entertainers. I've been looking for a place like this for years. So worth it
Seriously my favorite place EVER
Awesome place. Great music and food.
Outstanding all around
Our server seemed a little irritated. We ordered a bottle of wine ($32.00). It was opened, I tasted it, did not taste like Chardonnay. Gave it to my mate to taste, we commented on the watered down flat taste. We looked the brand up on line which sells for $4.99 at stores and Georgia Brown’s had the nerve to charge $32.00! My food was OK, it has been five years since I ate here and the food is different.
I was celebrating my wife’s birthday and was disappointed.
Such an amazing time and experience. The band is phenomenal and the service was excellent excellent
Second time there. Visiting from out of town. Ambience was great each time. Drinks were good. Music was good each time. Food was okay each visit.
I loved everything about this place. I went alone & felt like I was in a house full of family & friends.
They nickel and dime you to death. Never heard of an “entertainment” fee before.
So we went right when it opened so the place was still empty and the true atmosphere wasn’t going yet. We were the only ones there so we couldn’t get the true feeling of the place. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken and waffles. I try them wherever I go if they are on the menu. They were good but not the best I’ve had. I don’t like that they were chicken wings. My husband had the ribs and he enjoyed them. The Mac and cheese was good but I was disappointed in the collard greens. They needed salt. Overall it was still a good meal. I’d definitely go back and give it another try when the music is happening. Nice staff!
The food was not as expected, very disappointing. The band was really nice. My husband complained about the food not being good after taking maybe two bites, but the wait staff refused to compensate him other than offering him another dish. At that point he was so turned off that he just sent it back for nothing in return not even his money back(which they did not even offer). Will not go again, atleast not for the food.
The restaurant is convenient to the downtown area, it’s an alternative to the other food venues nearby.
Good food and entertainment
Overall experience was OUTSTANDING! Unfortunately, our server was disconnected and provided very poor service. Other servers seemed to be engaged and friendly.
Great atmosphere and outstanding food.
Had a great evening out. Food was spot on Southern style and the band was totally on point to round out the evening. Arrive before 7pm to get a great table. Many thanks to the manager who connected with most tables.
The food was amazing.
The atmosphere was awesome
Akaya was an excellent hostess and server.
Service was so great, everyone was very friendly. The chicken was under seasoned but the sides were delicious!
I came with my boyfriend for my birthday on Tuesday night. We were both first time visitors. The host was cold and not very approachable - we greeted him after not being acknowledged while standing at the stand. Not a major deal, as he was very accommodating when we asked to sit along the walls with the cushioned seats versus the middle of the restaurant. We waited there along the wall seats for about 20 minutes - literally, from 6:50pm-7:09pm - as several servers walked passed us after looking at our table. I finally politely asked the waitress I was able to whether there was a server for our table. To our surprise, she replied quite abruptly “I am the server, I need a minute”. I, again, politely questioned “Pardon?” hoping that the response would be different but it was not. At this point, my boyfriend was annoyed as she has walked past our table several times before I stopped here and not once did she do a table touch to introduce herself and communicate that she was a bit behind and needed a moment of our patience.
Anyway, in to the highlight of the night - the bartender Ashley. We moved to the bar, which I preferred, and Ashley took great care of us. We ordered the crawfish salmon (excellent), Jambalya pasta (decent), a moonshine mule (good), and two peach cobblers (very good despite substituting whipped cream for ice cream).
I may give it another try if I’m in the area.
I was in town visiting and my hotel was within walking distance. The Uber driver suggested it as a place for good food and the live music. The food was good. They give you a lot for the price. The band that night was Fantastic Voyage. Excellent. We stayed after dinner until they finished the last set.
Great food and music
