My wife and I had a fantastic evening at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint. The food was absolutely delicious—we ordered the fried chicken and the shrimp & grits, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the night, though, was the live music. We were lucky to be there on a Friday when One Nation Xpress was performing. The band was incredible—high-energy, talented, and fully engaged with the audience, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be adding Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint to our list of must-visit spots whenever we're back in Atlanta.

We were dissapointed that we had a party of 7, and one person is in a wheelchair. 5 of our party was there, and we had to wait for the other two due to getting the wheelchair from market. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation so the rest of us could order drinks and appetizers. They wouldn't seat us until the entire party was there, the restaurant only had two seated tables. Then they told us that we had two hours only at the table. Still waiting to be sat. Then the communicated that we would be charged $5 per person after 7pm for an "entertainment fee" which was never posted when I made the reservation, as we were not going for entertainment. We were exhausted from market, and just needed to eat and visit some before retiring. Had they sat us at 6, we probably could have rushed through, but once they finally sat us at our 6:15 reservation time, it was at least 20 minutes before we got our drinks and appetizers. There was no way to order a meal for 7 ppl and get out prior to 7pm. We were there until 7:30, and had to pay an extra $35 that was not acccounted for in our daily meal budget as we were on company business. Once we were told about the fee, there was no way to get a reservation at any other restaurant in the area. I made this reservation weeks prior.

The host was rather rude. Just no personality unlike our waiter Sam who was fantastic. Drinks came out a bit slow and portions of food are huge!

My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation. We were seated quickly and our server came over about 10 min later. We both decided to order the 1/4 fried chicken that was served with collard greens and mac and cheese, plus a shared yams side that was loaded with way too much cinnamon. The service was great and very fast, but the portion of the chicken was not worth the $20 price tag. Another missed opportunity was the lack of cornbread, biscuit or even roll with the southern cuisine meal. This was my 3rd time going to this restaurant but the first time feeling like Sweet Georgia's isn't so sweet after all.....

Not good. Service was slow and no jazz music which was advertised. We left and did not eat. Wont be back.

We had an 11 a.m. reservation, but when we arrived on time, the restaurant was not open. While waiting outside, we noticed that the time on the door said they’d open at 12 Noon, so we were confused and almost left. We had to wait outside for approximately 10-15 minutes before being allowed inside, so I’m not sure what was going on with that. There are huge fans that are on while you’re eating so depending on where you are seated, your food will get cold quickly. Ty, our waiter, was amazing! Her energy, her vibe, her singing—10/10.

The food was great!! Could’ve been a little hotter but definitely still good! Our server Ty was nice, the music and entertainment was nice also!
