Just OK. Servers seemed unenthusiastic and prices were average. If you have a refined palate, this is not the place to go to.
A basic brunch. Probably worth the $25. but nothing special or interesting.
The server was least concerned about us. He was busy chatting with colleagues at the bar. I had to ask for him every time even to place our orders. However he was all attentive when It was time to bring the check and hovering all over us for the tip. It was pathetic.

2nd time we've gone for Mothers Day brunch and both were great. Good variety of food and all tasted great. The musician was also very entertaining. Just a girl with a guitar and she killed it. A great experience overall.

Anniversary lunch, only disappointment was that the lunch menu was rather limited.
Three friends and I dined at SWB, a Southwest Bistro, on Saturday evening. We feel so fortunate to live in the Phoenix metro area and have the opportunity to enjoy the resort experience of the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and the fine cuisine that SWB offers. I’ve enjoyed the ambiance and cuisine of the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort since it opened around 1987. With its grand entry overlooking a beautiful view, it’s a wonderful way to share the beauty of Arizona with out-of-town visitors.
I had the salmon, which was served just the way I ordered it and presented beautifully. It was cooked perfectly and was flaky and moist. Two of my friends had the rack o f lamb, which they said had been seasoned to complement the lamb well. My fourth friend had the Atlantic halibut, which he enjoyed as well. We ordered the Pascual Toso Malbec, which was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised when Damon Thompson, the Beverage Manager at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort, shared with us a special bottle of wine. It was Red Schooner by Caymus Voyage 4,, which had a nice fruity flavor and velvety texture and paired well with our fish and lamb. Our server, Max, was very attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant. After dinner we enjoyed listening to the live band playing in the lively Center Stage Bar.
The hostess was so rude and didn't have our table ready when we had a reservation then when the waitress mixed up our orders the hostess came and switch them around and plunked them down in front of us. I had brought people here who had never been before and they were surprised that at a nice hotel and how things were handled at the restaurant. You need more training in how to serve as a hostess when you're at a 5 stR hotel. My wife and I have been there on many occasions and have even stayed at the hotel and never once were treated the way we werethat day. . No bread was offered with a $16 salad. Plus the sourdough bread was so hard I couldn't even chew it for my sandwich. The exterior of your hotel looked very bad to there were bird droppings, and big black birds flying around the table all the time and eating off the table. Plus it looked very messy on the patio. I remember this being such a beautiful hotel even in the last 6 months and I really wonder what has happened. We spent Fourth of July there and had a wonderful time at your pool but your restaurant and your appetizer and drink area really need some improvement and your staff too. We won't be coming to the back to the Hyatt Hyatt Gainey for quite some time after this very unpleasing lunch
Great margaritas, very good food. Nice ambiance. Chicken was very good.
Great breakfast out on the patio. Beautiful view and we sat near the fireplace so we weren’t too cold. We each were very happy with our meals. Great portions so we weren’t even hungry for lunch later. We’ll be back soon!
Our wedding reception was at the Gainey Hyatt. It has been & will always be a special place for us.We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary- noted in our reservation.I was a bit disappointed when there was no recognition of such,as one might expect at finer dining venues.Waiter did his best to recover when it was mentioned in table conversation & was very accommodating in getting the daily special menu signed by the Exec. Chef to accompany our collection marking each 5 years since our wedding.SWB was a bit of a cattle call, perhaps owing to the inclement weather which probably necessitated moving abunch of tables inside.Certainly not optimal for a romantic occasion, but understandable.The food was good, especially the feature menu- presentation was average- ok for a casual dining experience. We lament the change in décor and realignment of the F&B outlets,lobby bar & courtyard,done a few years ago.While the change was intended to appeal to a younger "hip" crowd, this place was the ultimate ambassador for the Southwest culture & mystic of the desert, which has a timeless audience appeal bridging many generations.The Golden Swan was a special occasion place,the current line-up, less so.Wait staff in both the SWB and the entertainment area were excellent and helped make the evening another for the memory book.They were stretched, but did well in keeping things flowing.We enjoyed a visit with one of the floor managers & were delighted with the heart for hospitality found in all the line level employees.As to the lobby bar, the drink prices are certainly not reflective of the quality of entertainment.Using local bands, is ok,but no where close to the heart-filled memories rendered by Esteban or Mosiaco in yesteryears & clearly not commensurate with the bar tabs.Perhaps the new ownership will consider reclaiming the ambiance that featured the signature elegance of Frank Lloyd Wright & the desert rather than the more glitzy feel of another amorphous uptown eatery.
Missed the Sunday Brunch. It used to be amazing to take out of town visitors to enjoy the feast
Would have been much better, if the buffet breakfast had not been sitting. Eggs benedict were rock hard, pancakes cold Waitress did replace the eggs with fresh ones but it was disappointing.
Hostess very rude. On phone when we entered and completely ignored us to the point we did not think she as the hostess and carried on to find a table. I wanted to make sure I got my open table points so inquired at the bar where reception was and sure enough it was the girl on the phone . I told her I had a reservation on open table and she had no idea what I was talking about and responded so do you want a table? I was surprised too get my points.
Lovely location overlooking the patio and outdoor space. Fresh food. Service was attentive.
Good dependable food. Convenient if staying in hotel and don’t have lots time. Breakfast is far superior — have the egg sandwich! Good service. Ambience lacking.
First night at the resort. Food was excellent. Waiter Max was attentive and made great suggestions.
We ate here 6 months ago and had wonderful service and food. This time our server left right after we ordered drinks and did not return until we were done eating. He seemed distracted and did not care about our experience or taking care of us. The server who filled in was very nice and accommodating but he was stretched pretty thin trying to wait on his tables and the other server's tables.
But the ambience on the patio was lovely as was the live music we could hear in the background.
restaurant was ok, not other restaurant to choose for lunch.is the only one open or at the pool at the chair.not crazy about.
We sat in the front opposite the kitchen, it was very hot and uncomfortable. The menu was odd, but good. Desserts were delicious.
We celebrated my son's 20th birthday. SWB has the absolute best fajitas we've ever eaten!!!
Great restaurant, great food, great service....and nice ambiance!
We were celebrating two birthdays and staying at the Hyatt where the restaurant was located. The server was first rate. The food selection included some novel items and everything we ordered was excellent. The birthday desserts were unique and delicious. All around a great place to celebrate.
Max was great! Very personable and great qualities

We went for Mother's Day brunch and the buffet spread was impressive and tasty. There was something for everyone, from traditional breakfast fare to sushi, pasta and even a Mexican bar. Also the free flowing mimosa bar was excellent. Great for special occasions.
One of the best brunch spreads I've run into. Great way to spend a Sunday.

This was our second time and the food was not as good as the first time my wife and I went. The service was very good, as well as the ambience. We will probably return.

Sunday brunch: large variety from breakfast to seafood to prime roast. The restaurant was busy and servers may have been overwhelmed. Service was mediocre, the food was abundant but not particularly memorable, and the value was low. Recommended for those who like variety and quantity.
I never, ever leave bad reviews, but our experience was one of the worst ever. Food was dry (pork tenderloins) and cold (ribs). I took my boyfriend there for his birthday. No one poured the wine, the food took forever to come out to the table (reminded the waiter for both our appetizer and our meal). I have to admit, it was probably one of my worst dining experiences ever. $200 later....not at all worth the money or our time.
Food was good, although portions were small and seemed over priced for what you got. Drink service was very slow and finally arrived halfway through the meal.
We were very disappointed with the average food quality at the brunch. Fruit offerings were minimal, entrees were just ok.The carving station had one piece of roast beef, average in quality and a distance from the rest of the brunch. The potatoes were up the steps and not in the same area. You would not even know beef was available until you had dessert.
Overall, it offered nothing interesting, the atmosphere was boring and we would never go back.
