Limited menu in comparison to what is online. Food came out late. Our waitress was lovely. I will not go back.
Great menu options, including specialty drinks, and everything was delicious. We had a vegan in our group, and the rest of us voted hers the best meal, which does not happen very often! The noise level was low, so made it very easy to catch up with each other. Our waiter even offered us umbrellas at the end of our meal, as it was pouring outside when we were getting ready to leave.
Got to take my daughter to one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville. It was so fun and the fun was as yummy as always!
Awesome food....great ambiance and service....maybe the best friend chicken I've ever had!
We made a reservation and stood at the entrance for a while before a waiter said it’s just open seating on the side by the noisy bar. Then the food (fried chicken) was over cooked almost burnt. We noted in our reservation that it was Our Anniversary so we would’ve like a quieter area.
Not at all what we expected. Biggest complaint is the food.
Did not have a good time. The dish I ordered really was awful.

the food was very good and there was plenty of it. The service was great and took good care of us even though our reservation, which had been confirmed electronically, wasn't in the system. The noise level was a bit loud.
We went for a lunch business meeting. We did not want to order immediately but the server became more and more insistent that we order immediately. We arrived at 12 and they do close at 2 after lunch but it seems they want everyone finished and gone by 1:30. After we got our food our server was pretty much finished with us and did not fill our empty water glasses. We asked another server and she brought us more water. The employees were all busy cleaning up the dining room and did not want to be bothered with guests who had apparently overstayed our welcome even though we left well before 2:00.

Dining room wasn’t open, and so we were stuck in open seating in the bar...wish we would’ve known ahead of time.
Valentines...strange they didn’t have the nicer dining room open but we still had a nice evening sitting in the area next to the bar.

worst service I've had in a while. Total of 8 tables with 3 servers in the dining room and still had to wait 18 minutes for a to go container and another 10 minutes for the bill. Food was good but not worth the extra wait. Don't see us going back

Too 10 best fried chicken in town with all the southern everything to go with it. Unexpected spot with hotel ambient not fitting food but still nice but hits the absolute spot in your mouth for biscuits, collards, gravy, fried green tomatos, deviled eggs and lots of fun bourbon things. Shhhh it’s still a secret gem.

We were a bit disappointed by the food. It wasn't bad but not anything to write home about.
The fried green tomatoes and the dinner salad were good. Everything else was just okay.
The wait staff at Sway were so helpful! We were so appreciative of our waitress and all she did to accommodate our large party. Try the Friend Chicken Plate. It is beyond delicious!

The design was stylish and the food was excellent. The wait staff was adequate but nothing really stood out about them. Overall it still had the ambiance of a hotel restaurant.
Terrible service. The worst service ever. The bartender was just rude and did not want to serve us.
Got a phone call 30 minutes prior to dinner that they were cancelling. I then needed to scramble to a table of 7 with a trade show in town. Not cool.
I like coming to SWAY before an event! But, every time it seems to be short staffed! Two bartenders for all the drinks and getting food orders! It gets old! I have to find another spot!
They clearly prefer that you go to their buffet. They are not staffed to provide service.
Booked with open table. They didn’t have a hostess. We stood around waiting to be seated. We were told to sit where we fit. Then we were forgotten. We had to go ask for menus. Our water was served promptly. We waited 30 minutes before we were offered to order food. Then we had to wait insanely long for our food too.
I had made a reservation, but we arrived early. I told them about my reservation, and asked them to cancel it. I did not get a confirmation on this, so I had to ask again before it was done. We ordered our food, it was good. Then the waitress disappeared. We were sitting there for 30 minutes waiting for our check. I had to wave her down to get it, then she never came back to process the payment. After another 10 minutes, I went up to the bar to see if anyone else could help process the payment. There was only one bar tender and he was busy and when I asked if he could help me he snapped at me saying " We were not expecting to get slammed with 50 people all at once." It was a FRIDAY NIGHT. What did you expect?
Ugh! I was so close to just walking out! Our waitress saw me standing there and still did not come over to process the payment....finally she, or someone else, took care of it so I could leave.
I understand that they had gotten busy, but it would've taken two minutes of her time to help me. I will never go back.
Umm... where to start. My Tuna was insane delicious. I had my heart set on a salad and our server said the chef couldn’t make it. He should have told me that when he gave me the menu. I chose another salad and was awful. The presentation looked like a kindergartner made it but I think they could have done better. We may go back just for drinks. Oh well, live and learn.

Met our son and daughter in law who we haven’t seen for over a year. No service, seated for 15 minuets and no water or menus. Bartender said it was him and one other bartender for the whole restaurant. Terribly understaffed. Sad.
Made reservation but there was no hostess to seat us and we were told to just find a seat. Our waiter was the bartender who had two black eyes but was knowledgeable. Chicken sandwich was very unmemorable but my date had a good full entree. Very noisy, convention folks were there drinking.
Restaurant is not well staffed, and the server was the ONLY server as well as being the bartender. While he was very pleasant, he did not write down our orders (or anyone else’s) which resulted in some miscommunication. The food was good, not great, and I had high expectations on the fried chicken as they are known for this. It was hot, crunchy and about like KFC. Drinks were the speciality berry bourbon drink and too much bitters in it ruined the taste. All in all, just OK.
Food was great! The atmosphere was laid back. I was underwhelmed with the table service and the overall presence of the wait staff. Not to say I won’t go back. But definitely not a special occasion spot.
Food was pretty good. Service was not as good as the food. I had the Shrimp and grits. The dish was tasty and well prepared. Good but not great.
I knew this place had delicious food but the service was abysmal. I had contacted and my future sister-in-law's mother had contacted to reiterate to make this special. We were left 30 mins without our cocktails we had ordered (6 margaritas and 1 vodka lemonade - not a difficult order), they brought our shared appetizers but we had to wait 10 mins for plates, there was water pitcher confusion... it was just unacceptable and frustrating because we wanted a special event. All that said, the food was hot and delicious, which we appreciated the chef's attention to that!
My family dined at Sway in celebration of my son's high school graduation. We had the best of both worlds, being seated in a somewhat private dining area, yet had access (by view) to a contemporary, newly & beautifully renovated space that's available for cocktails and dinner. The 2 spaces were separated by an impressive bourbon display encased in glass. The food was terrific - I recommend the fried chicken & shrimp/grits and wonderful wait staff. Oh and perfectly mixed martinis!
Underwhelmed by the experience and food quality. I wouldn’t recommend this venue.
After seeing Sway featured on Secrets of Louisville Chefs we were so excited to go try the dishes we had seen on tv. Unfortunately the experience left us very disappointed. When we arrived there was no hostess and we finally had to ask a bartender about our reservation. After finally getting seated the server delivered very poor service. The food was decent, but nothing so spectacular that I would go back and pay those prices and subject myself to the lacking customer service.
