Had a nice dinner with my husband before the Dregs concert at the Paramount. Food and service were excellent. A Sand City Red Sand Ale was very tasty with a thick and creamy head. I highly recommend this restaurant for their unique and scrumptious creations. Tasty and flavorful dishes are fun to share with friends. The more, the merrier.
I have to say the food was very good. The price was a bit high when you consider it’s a small plate resturant and the recommendation is two plates per person. The asparagus fries were awesome. The grilled octopus was ok a little too charred perhaps. Perhaps the person preparing the dish that night also forgot salad dressing is not just olive oil as it was missing vinegar and seasoning. The sliders were very good but definitely needed a pickle to cut through the juicyness . The grilled wings had an excellent sauce but could have been more crispy as the skin was a bit fatty. I would definitely get the asparagus and sliders again.
Great food and atmosphere!!
Awesome food as always
My wife’s favorite restaurant
Great restaurant in Huntington - tapas style so you can try many different things and there’s something for every palette. The asparagus fries are delicious.
Swallow is a fine restaurant which we do not frequent enough. This most recent visit will change that. The two of us shared four items which allows for a mini tasting menu.
The Burrata was fresh and creamy; the beef Sliders were cooked perfectly and delicious; the Short Ribs were tasty and fall-off-the-bone tender (there actually were no bones) and the Skirt Steak was a perfect rare and flavorful.
This comes with high recommendations not only for the food but for the service as well.
My wife and I met up with a couple of friends for dinner and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We were seated immediately at our reservation time and the food/service was outstanding. I will definitely be back and highly recommend coming here!
Excellent food as usual! We will definitely be back!
Great choices for meat eaters and vegetarians. Cocktails were delicious.
The staff was friendly. Our cocktails were amazing to start out. Would go back just for the drinks. We both had salads - both tasty nothing special. It was a little dark for lunch lighting. Our wait person was very attentive. Nice spot for lunch-
Had a very romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day here, the menu changes but there are items that never change, there are also daily specials here, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys delicious food, tapas style
Missing some old favorites. The menu has been reduced. The Wedge Salad is gone, replaced by spicy choices only. The Calamari in hot sour sauce is still great. The poutine lacks meatiness, relying only on chicken skins for heft. The lime rickeys are great. Disappointed. The chef has shown himself capable in the past and should change things up again, but the current menu is not making it.
Small portions. Limited menu for brunch. Didn't even provide bread for table. Small plates were just about same price as full plates and they encourage 8 for the table. Wouldn't go back
Birthday brunch. Excellent event. Great service great food
Awesome experience at Swallow. The food was incredible. Service was fabulous too. Waited at the bar area for a few minutes before our table was ready. The vibe was just really good all around. Deff make a reservation. Will be back for sure.
Perfect evening !! Food was incredible & creative. A tad bit pricey but worth the splurge.
Service was excellent. Everything that came to the table was delicious. Drinks were perfect! 100% will return!
Food unique and very tasty, service great bordering over attentive in a good way. Perfect date night
Food and drinks were great! Just wish the tables were not so close together bc I felt like people
On both sides were more interested in our convo then their own
We have been here before. Menu hasn't changed for some time. Overall food quality is good. Many dishes come out rather quickly. The calamari is a standout as well as the hummus. The chicken wings were overdone with too much sauce. Would ago again if the menu changes.
In a town full of nice places for lunch this one is a real stand out
Great service and the food was delicious!! Loved it!
Went there for a Girls Night Out. Service was amazing. We were a bit early so it was empty but got really packed around 6:30pm. Loved the grilled octopus and short ribs ravioli. Definitely good plates for sharing. Drinks were nice and strong. I love a heavy hand!
Love Swallow! Always a great meal.
great meal! great food! great drinks! best server ever, Sabrina killed it!! 10/10 would recommend.
Have been here twice now, two different Wednesdays. One was busy, one was not so. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, delicious food BOTH times! Will most certainly be back.
This was the second time we have been here. The food is served tapas style (small plates) and the choices are vast. This visit was for New Years Eve. When I made the reservation neither the restaurant nor open table stated anything about a pre fixe holiday menu. Although the selections were good, I would have appreciated knowing this when making the reservation as there were people with us who had certain food allergies/preferences.
The service was good as there were only a certain number of tables for dinner. It seemed that they only took dinner reservations until 7pm. By the time we were finished eating, they had turned the whole restaurant around us into what appeared to be a dance floor and a DJ was setting up. Another thing that would have been nice to know.
We had plans elsewhere at 10pm, but I felt a bit rushed to get out after we were finished eating.
Overall, this is a good place. The small plates are great when you are eating and drinking with friends. However, it's nice when you aren't on a time crunch.
The food was great. I would recommend this place and will definitely return.
Amazing food and service. Can’t wait to go bacj
Have been coming to Swallow for years (from back when it was a tiny 24-seat place with the kitchen right behind the bar)...still one of the best finds on Long Island. This was our third year coming to the family seating on New Year's Eve with our two kids - LOVE that Swallow does this.
Best restaurant in Huntington! Great food, great staff! Love it! Never disappoints.
My first visit to Swallow. The atmosphere is chaotic from the moment you enter, possibly the first impression caused by the total lack of a "meet and greet" space....4 steps and you are in the heart of the restaurant. The chaotic first impression could also come from the somewhat tacky restaurant sign outside with half the bulbs blown out.
Despite first impressions, the energy is unmistakable and the food was indisputably outstanding. Batter fried asparagus. Butternut squash soup. Hot spicy noodles. Broiled oysters. Other creative tapas dishes. Superb!
Our waitress, Serena, did a good job despite an overall impression of having already been overcome by the chaos.
We may not be back anytime soon, but that should not stop others from enjoying the chef's creative flair...they may even love the chaos!!
Small plates. Order two or three to share. They recommended 3 or 4 plates but it was too much food. .
Staff and servers were friendly and accommodating. Food was very good and there was a great variety of choice among their small plates. For small plates portions were generous. Great date night or get together restaurant. Would highly recommend. Excellent location in the heart of Huntington Village.
Great food, very attentive wait staff, only drawback was that I had asked for the sliders to be cooked more medium- well instead of medium rare and they came out medium rare.
Visited Swallow on date night with my wife. We each ordered a mixed drink and 2 plates each. I loved the Tallula - a spicy tequila cocktail. 3 of the 4 plates were amazing - poutine, Brussel sprouts, and mac & cheese. The last to come out was the chicken tostada. Partly because I was full, and partly because there was too much chicken for the size of the tostada, this was the only dish that I did not enjoy. The service was excellent and the ambiance is great. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Would definitely recommend and return.
The food was amazing, but our waitress was quite annoying. We were going to see Theresa Caputo that night and without even asking us if we wanted coffee, she put the bill down on the table. We said we wanted coffee and she said you need to be there or you won't be able to get in, Theresa has strict rules. We were dumbfounded. Needless to say, people were still strolling into the Paramount at 7:45, and the show didn't start until 8:00. When we were paying our bill, I said to my friend, I really would've liked coffee, and she rudely put two cups in front of us and said what do you want in the coffee. I said forget it, I wanted cappucino and she just walked away.
She ruined the experience.
Huntington Village's greatest spot by far!!!
Have been there twice and didn't disappoint either time.
Interesting combination of ingredients - flavorful.
Would def go back again - especially since it's next door to
The Paramount. Fortunate for both of them.
Your dinner at Swallow will be about 5 different plates for the two of you. We really liked the Hummus plate, the Shrimp n Grits and the Brisket Taco. Located on New York Avenue, next to the Paramount Theater, it is perfectly situated for before or after the show. The food is delish and they have a lot of staff, so you never have to worry about an empty water glass or getting a clean plate.s
