SW Steakhouse - Wynn Las Vegas
In all the years I've come to Vegas this is the first time I've tried this SW Steakhouse. I'm from Dallas so didn't really have the desire to go to a steakhouse. I was so wrong! The restaurants at the Wynn are among my favorites anyway - but now this one is at the top of my list. The menu is creative, the appetizers were amazing, the salads great, the sides creative (and make for foodies) and the steaks rival anything I've had in Dallas. The atmosphere, with the doors opening on to the "lake" with a spectacular view of the water shows beginning at 8:30 was the BONUS! The prices were comparable to that of a good steakhouse - less than many I've been to in Vegas and NYC. The service was the best I've ever had in Vegas - anywhere. We never felt rushed, were always taken care of and they did not clear the plates until the last person at our table of four was finished. This was more than a "dinner out" - this was a Vegas experience! Don't miss this restaurant!
The service was amazing and the quality of the food was excellent. The outdoor terrace with the water show was a unique experience. It was a perfect night.
Loved every minute of it!!!
Had a great dinner for Father’s Day
Dress code has become a little relaxed. Website says business casual must be collared shirts. Table across from us had dry fit under armor shirt and old Levi’s a few other tables the guys were wearing v neck t shirts. The food and service is exceptional and well worth the price but it takes away from the ambiance when your sitting next to someone that is dressed for sizzler.
We arrived 3 minutes early for our 5:30 pm reservation. 3 employees at the reception desk were too busy taking phone calls to talk to us. One man put his hand over the phone and asked us to sit down and they would call us when they were ready. Must be nice to have a line at your door so that how you treat customers doesn't matter. It is obviously an expensive establishment that cost a lot to build. Waterfalls don't come cheap. The wine list was limited and overpriced. The steaks were OK but expensive. I wanted this to be a special occasion for my friend's birthday, so I wasn't surprised by any of this. But the staff had an attitude, and I do mind paying for that.
I was so looking forward to the SW Steakhouse and I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food. We splurged and made reservations for our anniversary and I may have built it up a little too much and simply expected more...especially for the price. My wife had the filet and I had the bone in ribeye and both were not served hot. It appears they let the steaks sit too long before bringing them out. This restaurant was going to be the highlight of our Vegas trip and it didn’t live up to the hype.
Great restaurant to have our anniversary dinner! All the staff was very polite and helpful. They had no problem telling us what not to order and they were right. Food and drinks were amazing and huge portions.
The restaurant was amazing. Food and atmosphere was just what we were looking for in a Vegas date night. We didn’t even realize we were the last ones out. Be prepared to spend money as it is pricey.
Didn’t like any of the four starters we had. Pate. Octopus. Crab cake. Steaks were good but not the best I’ve eaten abd very expensive. Sides were ok, mash was the best of the pick. 1 rocky road pudding was excellent. Wine ok. Overall nothing special but lovely setting. Ask to be seated outside for the view of the show. $750 for 4 people.
Outstanding all around! Food, service, ambiance!
What I enjoyed most about the SW is the service. From the gentleman greeted me to the young woman who seated me to the tableside service.
The best was Cory, Timothy and Terry. Their service was the best I have experienced in a very long time.
Usually as a single diner, restaurants rush my order in spite of me indicating I am not in a rush.
When I said this to Cory he made sure I was not rushed. They even went to the effort of allowing me to enjoy a half glass if wine. I do not drink much and I was enjoying my birthday.
I would recommend these three gentlemen to anyone.
The food was terrific. Perfectly prepared.
The only criticism I have of the restaurant is it was far to loud.
Thank you to the SW team for making my visit a very memorable celebration.
Wife and I got great seats in terrace to watch light show
Best food, wine and service in town! Highly recommend for business or casual dining.
The overall experience was good, but the food was underwhelming for the price.
Excellent. Nothing bad to say! We had reservation and was seated immediately. Beautiful food presentation. Delicious flavors. Highly recommended
We got there early and they sat us down right away!

My husband and I made a reservation for dinner at SW Steakhouse to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary. We were seated outdoor close to the beautiful lake/scenic view. We thoroughly enjoyed the food - we got the dry aged porterhouse for 2, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare, definitely the highlight of our meal. Service was very attentive. SW Steakhouse is perfect for special occasions, and the Wynn hotel was so beautifully decorated that we just spent the evening walking inside and enjoyed a matcha green tea chai latte afterwards before the La REVE show.
The hype just didn’t life up to it. Prime rib was not as tender as I thought it would be. Tasted rubbery. PRETZEL bread was delish! Wedge was good. Just expected a better steak.
Everything was exquisite. A+
They sat us at the worst table and it wasn’t busy. Because I booked on open table if I would’ve book from the Wynn I would have gotten a better table because we were staying in the Tower Suites. The service was poor but the bus boy was great and told us this wasn’t right what they did to us.
Amazing food. Amazing service. We ate outside and it was lovely. The staff were very accommodating.
Perfect night for the date
The Filet Mignon was expertly done, just right and also just the way I like it and the way I asked the waiter to prepare it. The carrots prepared in beef broth were excellent. The same can be said for my wife's steak, it was done to perfection for her taste. The baked potato was excellent also. Enjoyed the great service, friendly and observant. Overall, the experience was fantastic.
Pear martini. Amazing. Bread basket. Amazing. Caesar salad. Amazing. Scallops with pea risotto and black truffle. Amazing. Filet Mignon. Not quite amazing. A little under-seasoned for our liking. Molten chocolate cake dessert. Very, very good. But all in all just a beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion. I suppose we could have complained on the spot about the steak, but decided not to.
Best steaks in Vegas
Food was cooked to perfection and service was impeccable. We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday and will definitely be back.
From a place as SW our expectations where high, but we were disappointed with the food!!
We chose the most expensive steak in the menu and ordered it to be medium well, guess what it was over cooked and burned !!!
As always excellent. Been here 10 times .
Having the right server makes it better.
Here in Vegas for a quick getaway and we always love dining at SW Steakhouse. It is hands down our favorite steakhouse here. Consistent in its quality, service, and overall excellence. My husband had the oysters, which he said were delicious. I had the kale salad, which I get every time. We big had the filets which were cooked to perfection. We were seated outside at a table right next to the lake which made out experience even better. We love SW Steakhouse. Make sure you make reservations as far in advance as possible if you are coming Vegas.
It was a great choice all around. The property is so beautiful and it feels like you are in Europe. The service was great and staff very accommodating.
The food was very good and the water view very relaxing. It's expensive but worth it. I recommend.
It was an excellent experience
The food was very good
An excellent service
More expensive that I thought
The service was terrible. We literally had to try to get a servers attention to order and then to request our check at the end of the meal. The food wasn’t bad, but for the price, we have a wonderful steakhouse back home that is much better. The filet mignon didn’t have much taste to it, and the mashed potatoes were overloaded with butter (and I love butter so I’ve never said that about anything).
They made our anniversary extra special with a complimentary truffle plate! Thanks
SW was amazing in every way... great food, great cocktails and wine, great service. A table by the water and watching it transform from dusk to dark was lovely. Will definitely keep this as a must-do when returning to Vegas.
I was very disappointed in my first experience at SW. I had heard good reviews and while the atmosphere and service were great, the steak was almost inedible (I may have eaten a fourth of it). The bone in ribeye, at $82, was tough and had considerably more gristle than I would have expected for such a pricey entree. We had two of these and both were deficient in texture and flavor. The third member of our party had a filet and said it was good. But overall, I was quite disappointed and won’t be returning.
Amazing food! Excellent, outstanding and professional service. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
The service was impeccable and the wine was superb. Julie’s beefsteak salad was beautiful and scrumptious. We were both a little underwhelmed by our entrees. For me, the couscous was perfect but the lobster was so-so. Last time I got steak and I will next time. The weather was perfect (not humid like Houston). I could only get 5:30 reservations and it was disappointing because my last time was in January and I got to see three shows on the fountain. This time we waited for hours til the one show at dark. At least you let us keep our table all night. I cannot brag enough on all your staff and the ambience.
