About SW Steakhouse - Wynn Las Vegas
Star chef David Walzog presents his unique interpretation of the classic American steakhouse along Wynn's Lake of Dreams. As befits a top-notch chophouse, SW offers a selection of expertly charred steaks, including a succulent porterhouse-for-two, New York strip, dry-aged tomahawk chop and Walzog's signature chile-rubbed double cut rib eye. SW also offers a wide variety of seafood and poultry options, and such innovative side dishes as black truffle creamed corn and cipollini onions with charred jalapeno. SW's décor matches its steakhouse-with-a-twist cuisine brilliantly, with an opulent dining space that radiates glamour, punctuated by floor-to-ceiling windows framing postcard views of the three-acre lakefront and forested mountain. The adjoining open-air dining terrace offers prime views of the multi-media shows of sound, light, video and puppetry that unfold both on the lake and against it's 90-foot tall coursing waterfall.

SW Steakhouse - Wynn Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
One of the best meals I had in Vegas. The steak was perfectly prepared as was the lobster. The foie gras mouse is delicious but should be shared. The black truffle creamed corn was one of the best side dishes I have had at any steakhouse. Highly recommend SW.
This is my third or fourth visit to SW for dinner.
My husband and I were both disappointed in our soup selections. His was butternut squash which had no squash flavor but tried to make up for it by having too much salt and spices. Similarly, my crab soup that had bits of completely flavorless meet (was it crab? Was it chicken? No way to tell) was also overly salted and spiced. The foi gras and filet were both excellent, however.
Upon leaving the garage we were SHOCKED to discover we had to pay $12 after being told it was “free parking”
It was also a bit loud for a special occasion, we had to lean in close to hear each other.
SW is a consistent high-level performer in Las Vegas. I enjoy the vibe, the service is excellent and the food is very good, some items are better than others. We ordered our Chateaubriand for two medium-rare, it arrived more live medium but I was not about to send it back, it looked great. The wine list is very extensive and also very expensive, but they offer several interesting selections by the glass. Service is impeccable, as well as food presentation. We were there for an early 5:30 seating since as East-coasters we were already hungry - the restaurant filled up quickly and by 8 PM it was full. We sat outside to enjoy the show in the lagoon and waterfall that goes off every half hour. I return to SW on every trip to Las Vegas, if you have not tried it then you certainly should.
Book this restaurant because we were told this was one of the better steak restaurants in Las Vegas. Well, the service was poor and and I have had better steaks at other less expensive restaurants. Our party of 4 had 3 steaks, two appetizers and 11 drinks and the bill was 925.00 not including tip. You would expect exceptional service at these prices. Not the case here. Once our food was served no one ever returned to our table to ask if our meal was cooked properly or if we needed another drink. Nothing at all. After paying for this meal I asked to speak with the restaurant manager and expressed my concerns with our meal and service. The manager apologized for no one asking if we needed another drink or water but said that there policy is not to ask if your food was prepared how you ordered. He said that Mr Wynn had made this rule. I have eaten all over the world and I believe this is the first time I have encountered this. I told the manager that I understood that this was a rule the waiter had to adhere to. The manager said if I was not happy with my meal I should have told the waiter myself. My 4 oz KOBE steak cost 220.00. I feel for that price someone should be asking if your happy with the way your steak was prepared or if there is anything else you may need. This was our first time eating at SW and most likely the last. I hope this review will help with your decision to visit SW at the Wynn.
Such a fun spot to dine and be lightly entertained. Without the obtrusiveness of a full on "dinner and a show," you can watch the visual water musical while partaking in an overall fabulous menu right from the pretzel bread to the PB&J birthday macaron. Fun and fanciful experience!
My girlfriend and I had come here on a date and overall it was phenomenal. The service was outstanding and would always attend to you when needed and the view was great. We chose to sat outside (yes there is indoor and outdoor seating) and had a great view of a waterfall on a "lake". They have shows that play while you eat and great colors overlooking the water at night. The food was delicious, I ordered a boneless rib-eye steak and it was the best steak I had ever eaten. My girlfriend had the Alaskan King Crab pasta and it was a creamy delight. I would definitely recommend this for a friend to come here on special occasions.
My wife and I took our honeymoon in Las Vegas over Christmas weekend and had Christmas Eve dinner at SW at the Wynn. We were so surprised and impressed by the look and feel of the Steakhouse, and we were seated right in front of the large windows over looking the waterfall which has various shows and scenes that play every half hour or so. This is EXACTLY the kind of place I was hoping it would be, something special to celebrate our wedding, and Christmas all in one.
The food was amazing, best steak I have ever eaten at a restaurant, hands down.
The service was very good, servers were friendly and attentive. The only down fall of the entire experience was that my wine glass was dirty. I simply told one of the servers and he took the glass right away. These things happen occasionally and I wasn't going to let it ruin our night, it could be quickly fixed. But, it wasn't. It took about 10-15 mins before I was brought another glass of wine.... and I think it was the exact same glass! Or, another dirty glass. I wasn't too happy about spending $20 on a single glass of dirty wine.
All in all it was great, I will just stick with water next time.
We were celebrating 20-Years together, and both my wife and I agreed that this was our best dinning experience ever! The food was very good, but not the best we've ever had, but when you add in the amazing staff, the atmosphere, the scenery, the unexpected "shows";... it just became something that we absolutely loved and plan to come back to every time we are in Vegas!
Booked online months in advance and was so glad I did. This restaurant was packed. And yet – you had more than enough room to have a private conversation at your table, you were able to enjoy the thoughtful setting of the venue, and the food was spot-on. When we were sitting there, in the well lit, yet romantic room, my dining companion said something that summed it up best for me… “This is a women’s steak house.” It was done in luxurious beiges, a departure from the oftentimes dark and hard “old school” steak houses. The food was terrific -- crab legs with orange butter were a special and we felt fortunate to have been there when they were offered -- really a wonderful flavor. Steaks were on the money. Rib Eye and Filet -- done to perfection. Our side was the potato tarte -- I'd recommend this (our waiter recommended to us). Overall, next time I am at Wynn, I will be headed back to SW.
The restaurant was beautiful the server was rude and impatient and took forever to come back to us. The food was subpar except for the side dishes. The only saving grace was the woman who helped us with the wine selections. She was awesome I wish she was at every restaurant I’ve visited.
The Wagyu steak was a huge disappointment. The steak taste was like any other steak. I ordered my steak medium and only one end was medium. The other end was very rare. The wait staff was exceptional except they should have offered something for the poorly cooked steak. The ambiance was exceptional as was the desert. We had high expectations of SW and overall they did not deliver on the hype.
Gf is vegetarian and hard to find a steakhouse with vegetarian options -- this place has many alternatives which was perfect.
Steak was great
Amazing Caesar salad one of the best
Delicious teriyaki greenbean side
Loved the every 30 minute visual show outside water fountain
Our server was mediocre. Not sure if it's because we are "younger" so he didn't give us as much attention as necessary but luckily the B server was fantastic. Wish I could've given him the entire tip.
Very good - but not the best. We tried SW for the first time this past week. My wife and I both ordered filet mignons, medium rare. My wife’s was mid-rare but the char was way too much. My filet was medium at best, and when I sent it back, the replacement was perfectly mid-rare - but no char at all. For one of the more expensive filets on the Strip, I expected better.
