Superb dinner!! Great service!! Pianist a decided plus!! Used to come here all the time when I lived in Glen Ellyn, now live in IA and came in for a concert-- was not disappointed!
Food & service, excellent as always!!!
We always love our time spent dining here. We highly recommend them.
The hostess was so accomodating & friendly and our server was delightful! Crepes were outstanding!
Made a reservation for birthday luncheon for 3, unfortunately, the service was slow and the kitchen painfully slow! After our initial order, I was told my desired entree was sold out... so I selected a steak entree medium well. The waitress brought out 2 sandwich entrees and told us the steak would be up soon. After a lengthy wait, the other diners had already completed their meals, the steak arrived - extremely under-cooked, less than rare! After informing the waitress, the plate was whisked away and finally returned... at this point, my companions were needing to leave. We hastily ordered a Birthday desert whilst I finished my meal. I informed the manager how disappointed I was and her offer of three meringues from the bakery was a poor solution. For a $90 lunch tab, we will not be returning.
Well the food was good, however the service was pretty poor. Upon arrival we were totally ignored as if we were invisible for at least 15 minutes. The hostess was pretty ditzy, and the server was well let's say her mind was not with her that day. Maybe it's the fact we were ignored by several employees for sooo long, that the rezt of it seemed so bad. But.....the food was good.
Well, we had a slow start. It was very busy in the entryway/patisserie side when my party of 6 arrived at 1 pm so we had to awkwardly stand around and move each time the door opened. We were seated and I noticed menus on the table which I though was weird as I had booked an online reservation through OpenTable weeks beforehand. The waitress asked me about it but someone had gotten us confused with a 6 person brunch group. Then when I told her it was 2 French/4 English tea she said—hmmm they should all be the same for a tea. I said, well, the online reservation asks how many of each type—perhaps she didn’t know. So we finally got lots of tea at 1:25. No spoons on the table so we had to stir with knives. Several times we had to ask for milk/milk refills as well as we only got one tiny split plate of cream and curd for 6 people. The food however was really good. Generous portions and delicious scones and dessert. I feel like the service issues could be fixed very easily so would be willing to try again based on food quality alone. I think our server was trying—but she was just too busy to be able to get us what we needed or notice what was missing.
This is my fifth visit. Everything elegant in one setting. Incredible food beautifully presented.
The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday morning and the wait staff was very pleasant. The restaurant is very accommodating to children of all ages. The food was delicious and very filling. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Amazzazing!! Food, awesome...service, exceptional...ambiance, inviting and comfortable. First time dining and will most certainly return.
I have been to Suzette's quite a few times over the years. I have never been disappointed in service or food choices. I highly recommend!
My niece visits me from NY once and sometimes twice a year. We always make a point of having lunch at Suzettes each visitl The food and ambiance is special. In addition, we had a marvelous server (Caitlin) who was quite delightful and helpful.
The food was really yummy and the service was excellent. The ambiance is warm and lovely, and I highly recommend it. The noise level can be a bit high, but overall Suzette's is a terrific place.
Both being British, my fiancée and I decided to try this for her birthday as she loves afternoon tea. This place certainly did not disappoint: The food was unbelievably delicious; the tea was amazing; the service was incredible. What a treat this was! It had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere where you could comfortably hear each other. They even went above and beyond, providing my fiancée with a cake for her birthday. We will most certainly be visiting again as it really was incredible!!
Food always good and service exceptional.
So Yummy have the Mimosas. Try the Croissant French Toast Delish! We even got the quiche to go! Great place for girls get together!
The food was excellent, and the waitress was perfect. She gave us exactly the right level of attention, there when we needed, but not hovering; she provided excellent suggestions and clear descriptions.
This place has so much potential but always falls short. Wait staff is nice however clueless. Off times results if off service
Excellent food, great ambiance and service. Totally worth the drive.
We go to Suzette's several times a year, and each time they seem to miss the mark just a bit. This time for brunch they way over-cooked the bacon. It was so over-done, we could hardly chew it. The French scrambled eggs were very good, however, and you can't beat the ambiance. Nice to have a Sunday brunch spot where you don't have to wait in line or eat in a packed, noisy venue.
Person seating customers was not overly friendly
I had asked online to be seated near the window at front
Instead I was taken to the very rear in a room with not one other person. Odd
Very nice meal. Waiter was good but could have been a little more attentive.
Have been to Suzette's many time over the years. It's my "go to" place for lunch with women friends. This was the first time I thought the noise level was such that I couldn't hear my friend talk. It was a Friday at 12:30, so I guess it was just busier than usual. I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm looking a quiet place to lunch with a friend.
Love this place! Wonderful atmosphere, food is delicious and the service is attentive. They are very accommodating if you tell them you have an event after dinner and must leave at a certain time. Good bread, feels like France. Piano player is a nice touch as well.
Everything is outstanding. I had the salmon crepes this time. They were light, beautifully seasoned, and tender. The salad was dressed perfectly. Apple pie is a winner.
Wonderful food, great service, quiet and immensely comfortable. This is a place I can go to alone most happily
We have been to Suzette's many times. This was the first time for Sunday Brunch.
Given the ability to order from an extensive menu (rather than going to a buffet), excellent food, friendly, efficient service as well as the comfortable and attractive ambiance, we will come back on Sundays for brunch more often.
This Gem pleases each and everything I go there! This is a great place to relax and enjoy the Magnificent Food!!!
A great place to meet for a cocktail, and/or a fantastic dinner. If you like loud and noisy places and bar food DON'T go there but if your in to quiet conversation over excellent food and drink and not a 100 people competing for service this is the place! If you crave great french food and deserts I hardily recommend Suzette's. In the summer they have a nice outdoor area but not to big
took a friend out for her birthday, food was very good, service was great.
It is important to note that their English Tea must be booked 24 hours in advance and is only at specific times. This is not shared on their website. For the price, which is close to Four Seasons cost, they do not provide an experience of equal quality. We will not be returning.
Wonderful every time, and this visit was no exception. Adore the atmosphere. Super little wine bar
My husband and I decided to go for Sunday breakfast to relax. We were here one other time years ago. We didn't want to go to a noisy breakfast place with kids running around. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess and the servers were very nice. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We will be going back.
Top notch service as usual and the dinner was amazing. If you haven’t been to Suzette’s you are missing a great experience in the western burbs.
Always a great meal for the two of us when we want to be treated nicely, have a great menu and a getaway from all of the loud restaurants that are too popular. City dwellers, who feel that the only great restaurant is east of Central Avenue, are so wrong.
Delicious food with great help from waiter on selections. Great atmosphere with live piano that was not too loud. Great service and very nice couple hour dinner. Will definitely return.
Suzette's has a cozy atmosphere, quaint, food is wonderful. Just a nice place for something different. A nice place to meet friends for lunch and you are not rushed out. Their bakery is fantastic too. I wish them continued success!
My wife and I love this special romantic place. Great ambiance. Small and cozy. Perfect for a special occasion. They always put their heart and soul into their food. The French fare is delicious . The menus is well put together. A very special wine list that is extensive with lots of choices. The deserts will keep you coming back.
It reminds me of some of the bistros I visited in France .
Great place for a romantic Valentines dinner, the fixed price 4 course meal had plenty of choices. The food was excellent, as well as the service. We had a great time, we'll be back.
Aside from the singer being too loud for the small room, the evening was very lovely and the food was excellent!
