If you go to a more expensive restaurant you expect good service and you get that here. Clearly, the owner is concerned with providing a great experience rather than chain restaurants that only want to minimize labor costs.

This restaurant for me reminded me of the restaurants of the 70’s and early 80’s. Lots of leather booths not too dark without the cigarette smoke hazeThe food was excellent. The portion not too small or large and the wait staff attentive. Our server offered to split the check. We had a good and left trying to figure out when we could go back. I recommend the Prime Rib

Always good dining. A subdued atmosphere conducive to table conversation and enjoyment of cuisine. We've become regulars.

Sutter’s Mill has always been a local gem in Simi Valley. Easy parking and easy to get a reservation. Our last visit was just so so. Our server was wonderful. My Prime Rib was a bit dry and a little tough. The other folks at the table who also ordered prime rib, had the same issue.
I wonder if it’s the same owner or perhaps it was just a bad cut of meat.
Either way, we’ll be back because it’s a great local eatery.

We arrived on time at 11:45. The restaurant was closed . I received an e-mail a few minutes later telling me they would not be open until 4 or 4:30. We were from out of town and had to go searching for another place to have lunch, a big disappointment! I gave a low rating in everything because Opentable would not allow me to post this review without a rating but we were not able to experience the place, it was closed. Opentable should not have confirmed my reservation.

Exceptionally good service and delicious food. The prime rib was superb. Get there early as the prime rib runs out later in the evening. A big plus is their "No corkage fee" policy! Decor is comfortable, old world style like steak houses used to be. We loved the intimate setting. You would never guess that you were in a strip mall once inside. Nice bar area too.

My son and I had a very nice dinner. I had a filet and my son had steak and shrimp, all nicely prepared. We also had cocktails which were well made. The server was friendly and professional. We'll be back!
