Marie and the SM Crew are SECOND TO NONE in service and quality!! Their outdoor eating area is wonderful and accommodating! SM is the BEST RESTAURANT OVERALL VALUE in Southern California.

We LOVE this restaurant!! This is the only place we go for big special occasions. Anniversaries, birthdays etc. Their food is incredible as always. Their surf and turf is to die for! They make the best Greg Goose vodka dirty martinis. They make them perfectly the way I ask, including hand stuffed blue cheese green olives for my martini. We love the wine selection, dessert selection and they have excellent options for the appetizers. We love the bacon wrapped shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms topped with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, go and get there as fast as you can. You will feel like you’ve been missing out on a hidden gem of Simi Valley.
The service is always the best here!! The food never disappoints either. Unfortunately, about 7 of 10 items we usually order are now off the menu due to Covid (from what the staff told us). It’s unfortunate that some of our favorite items are off the menu now, but we still go back for a Wally Burger and to say hi to everyone who works there (the most friendly staff ever!)
We had excellent service and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only comment is one of the prime ribs had a large piece of fat, otherwise all else was good.
I would recommend the prime rib and salmon. Delicious!
Enjoyed our server and the food was cooked just right I think mushrooms should be optional on chicken piccata they were everywhere haha! Steak needed a little more seasoning so I needed A1 sauce not overall it was good!! We will be back again
Hurried through our meal. Asked steak well got it med. rare, both. Again waitress at our table every 5 min. Trying to hurry us. We love Sutters Mill. Long/ long time customer but this was over the top. If you over book , the customer should not suffer for it.

Been going for over 30 years, always good food, Service is always great, they are on top of things unlike most places you go to.
This is an old school type of restaurant— good food, lots of it and all inclusive with salad or soup and sides.
The specialty of the house is an 8oz top sirloin. One taste and there is no argument. The accompanying garlic toast is heavenly.
The wine list is limited but the labels pair well with the menu offerings. If you feel like bringing your own wine, there is no corkage fee.
We had a very pleasant rookie server; and though there were gaps,she made up for them with her bubbly demeanor and ultimate recovery. The veteran servers were smooth, friendly and efficient.
This is a place where good friends and families come to share a meal so be prepared to be able to hear others’ conversation.

New Years dinner
My wife and I have been going to Sutters Mill forever. Back when they were in Mission Hills.
We both ordered the Top Sirloin with the stuffed baked potatoe and garlic bread. Everything was excellent. The steak was cut thick and looked like a filet. Very good piece of beef. The steaks the last few years have been from verygood to awful. Should have taken a picture.
Great food, service and ambiance. Prices very reasonable.
We always have Christmas Eve dinner here. Very special place.

We had a great time at Sutter’s Mill for a Christmas Eve celebration. The service and ambiance were great and our food came out quickly. We came a bit early for our reservation and was seated quickly. The only downside is that the steaks (requested medium) were more like well done and on the dry side.
This was my 3rd visit to Sutters Mill. The first two time were excellent. On Xmas Eve, the service was great, but the food was not prepared well. I had a full rack of baby back ribs. They were burnt to the degree there was little meat left. The BBQ sauce tasted like worshishire square. My wife’s meal was also burnt. If this had been my only meal there I would not return. Based on previous visits I will give it another try.
Good night at Sutter’s Mill. One of the few restaurants that serve Rombauer wine by the glass. Best deal in town for lobster dinner. Lobster was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by a baked potato and a salad. You can’t beat the price. It’s a throw back restaurant style, booths feel private. Two extra rooms for overflow or a large party, but not as romantic as main part of the restaurant. My husband had the prime rib that he said was very good.I had the lobster which was terrific. This is a neighborhood find.
They ran out of prime rib (we arrived at 6 pm). Good prices.
Food was below average not enough options, disappointing.
This is our favorite steakhouse in the area. The Signature Sirloin is consistently flavorful and tender. We always ask for the Bernaise sauce on the side, (which is complementary), unlike many restaurants. My only recommendation is to offer another veggie besides the green beans. We are on the Keto diet, and prefer to eat veggies instead of the potato options.
Old school feel, dark and charming. No corking fee brings us back every time. We love the wedge salad!!
It was really good and great service--we live about 15 minutes away on the 118--and NO corkage, so I can bring my fav wine! We are trying their happy hour this week. We will be back!

The Food and service was excellent. Ordered steak and it came out exactly the way l wanted, l wish they served Cesar salad otherwise great, the bacon wrapped shrimp is the best everytime.
We go to dine at Sutter’s Mill for special occasions,over the years. The experience is great always. Welcoming, great food, drinks and service, always. That it is a local family own business is nice to support too.
I was there for my wife’s birthday and I had and I let one of waiters know and she would let my server know. They failed , they brought the check but nothing else.
One of the dinners came out a little cold
The stuffed mushrooms were not as good as they have been in the past. This is our first time we have ever had any issue

We were visiting the Reagan Library, and this was our first time to dine at Sutter's Mill. Three of us had the Top Sirloin which was very tender and delicious and prepared as we requested. One had the Prime Rib and she said it was very good also. The only negative was that they do not show prices for their cocktails and wines on the menu. We dine out quite a bit and have not seen this before. They do not charge a corkage fee, and this is a positive.
I enjoy going to an old fashioned Steak House. Sutters Mill is a favorite for us.
The only problem was the fact that they did not know how to credit our reservation for open table.
