Food was good but the long wait to get our sushi was too much. Regardless of the sushichefs being busy, it should not take over 30 min to bring out the sushi/ceviche after the others got their kitchen entrees. It was nice of the restaurant to comp the ceviche but it would have been better to eat with the others. We ordered the sea bass & chicken entrees, ceviche and 1 of the rolls (i forget which one), as well as, edamame (they were out of, really?!?!) & a few drinks that were great.
The sushi is great and the service was attentive. The manager, James made us feel comfortable while we waited for a table. Great place for people watching...on Lincoln Toad!
Service was slow to start due to our servers tables all being sat at the same time...she was kind enough to let us know that sushi was taking a while so she recommended some appetizers to share while we waited...drinks we wonderful but the bar also seemed backed up some...a couple more servers on the floor and maybe another bartender or two and this place would be unstoppable! The servers assistant that came to clean up dirty plates and glasses was extremely friendly and he put a smile on everyone’s face! We will definitely be back.
Must do experience in SOBE. Edna has waited on us for years, she makes the meal a special event. Good selection of saki, Junmai Daiginjo and Nigori’s are great.
Can’t go wrong, you will go away happy, full, and singing the SushiSamba song!
Everything prepared to liking...beautiful restaurant and great service.
Excellent service and Omikase (tasting menu) service. Lovely to sit and people watch while enjoying a wonderful lunch. Sushi was top notch, Uni was a treat! Let your server select for you, Davon was tops.
Had the chefs tasting menu! It was amazing. The only thing is that one of the plates came out with a hair and that was really disgusting. That ruined the experience! But they brought me a new plate and everything else was great.
Great and original restaurant. Excelent food full of character. A perfect mix of japanese-south american flavors. Takes fusion cusine to a whole other level.
The service was ok but the food was amazing. Try Ezo and Amazonia rolls plus extra tempura flakes.
We had an awesome experience. Our waiter, Sergio, was great - he knew all about the eclectic menu and gave us recommendations that we loved! It was a true adventure of tasting different foods - Peruvian, Brazilian and Japanese, all of which was delicious. We will be sure to return on every visit to Miami!
Great variety of menu options. Food was excellent, as was our waiter Sergio. Highly recommended.
Disappointing. Doesn’t come close to their sister restaurants in NY and Vegas. Service was so poor. The woman who was supposed to be serving me passed my table three times. She was walking in circles. Finally another waiter took care of me. She then shows up at the end to ask if I’m finished. The food was also poor. Lobster roll was chewy.
Amazing service and great experience! Highly recommended.
Our waiter suggested we let him bring our group of 7 the most popular items. It wasn’t inexpensive, but We got to taste a lot of really excellent seafood small plates and didn’t have to worry with ordering. I thought the sushi, rolls and other seafood small plates were better than the final “main dishes”. It was a great evening of tasting deliciously prepared fish while watching Miami walk by our table. Would recommend highly
Food is good, small portion but refined. Service is awful, we had to wait 50 mins to get our sushis, the waiter just replied that they were really busy??? Many tables around us were in the same situation, but never saw our second order, after 2hrs wait we decided to check out.
Very good food and ambiance. Prices are very high and service so slow
Friends told us this was their favorite place to eat on Lincoln. We tried to dine here xmas eve but the wait was too long. Christmas dinner outdoors on Lincoln is a treat! Great ambiance, nice server, flavorful drinks.... food was good but getting it was a challenge. Everyone around us (seated after us) were served before anything of ours came out. Yes, it’s busy but honestly I think our server forgot to place our order- we had to remind him several times to bring certain dishes. 1 1/2 hrs after being seated I asked our server for my sons Miso soup. 2 hrs+ and still no sushi roll... meanwhile tables around us got their sushi &appetizers. One drink was “comped”... we didn’t really have a place to go but boy were we disappointed with the service. “We’re busy” was a Lame excuse, in my opinion! Bummer b/c the food was tasty, though sushi v small portion.....
we had a great time!!! expensive for the portion sizes but overall great experience
The food was good, but the service was very poor—-we waited over 15 minutes for service and we were seated out front in the middle of the crowd. It took forever to get water, drinks, and even our bill—-not returning to this location.
We just landed from the UK where we go to Sushi samba allot, thought we would try the one in Miami. Has to be a million miles apart from what we are used to. Outside seating with pedestrians and beggars not great, service was poor, they ran out of a few items including squid. Rubbish. Don’t bother so many much better sushi places to go in Miami
Horrible la comida
Nice place, good service and the food/fish is very fresh and tasty, but nowhere near worth the tab. It is noisey, expensive and the servings leave you wanting [more] food.
Horrible service, poor food, really bad experience
I love sushi Samba. Have been to them all over the US. This was dismal. Food was cold and soggy. Service was below average.
All the food was awesome. We like everything of the menu
The wine list is very small and they don’t have coolers for the wine.
Wonderful food right on Lincoln Road, so for great people-watching and just an all around great time. The food is innovative, combining asian influence & sushi with south american ingredients & flavors. Unique and delicious! Great service too!
It was not what we expected. We went to Sushi Samba in Amsterdam and London and it was perfect there. In Miami, not much attention is paid to the sushi. It seemed more like you can eat. Very unfortunate, especially if you have expected so much.
It was good, overall average value for sushi; it was a little frustrating that the waiter was obviously trying to upsell us on everything.
Most restaurants do this (and they should) but this one did it with the same grace as our current president condemn hate speech...
I was there with two friends for my birthday celebration. A friend was paying for our meal from NYC. They kept up the mystery of who was taking care of us until the end. Both managers were amazingly nice to our group. The bartenders, after we ran inside because of a downpour when very personable and super nice to me on my birthday.
The food is really delicious and I will definitely be back!
Excellent food and buzzy vibe for a good business meal.
